W piękną sierpniową jesień spadł deszcz. Krople, bezwzględne jak pociski, skruszyły słoneczne dni na kawałki promieni, które odbijają się w kałużach i błądzą po już nie swoim świecie.
Poleciały do góry zaglądać ludziom do życia przez matowe szyby. Szkło pod wpływem czasu staje się brzydkie i szare, rdzewieje jak kraty. Promienie przeleciały między prętami i zakręciły się wokół nas.
My zaś, nie zważając na nie, siedzieliśmy naprzeciwko siebie i podtrzymując dłońmi pełne głowy wpatrywaliśmy się bacznie w siebie nawzajem.
Padał deszcz przez otwarte nagłym zrywem wiatru okno wyleciały promienie. Błądzą po targanym wichrem krajobrazie, wśród konarów drzew, pomiędzy dwoma kolumnami wody, nad liśćmi i przelatują strwożone przez oczy.
Odłamki dawnego dnia walają się po ulicy. Zaskoczone nagłym końcem leżą nieruchomo na ziemi i próbują zrozumieć, co się w ogóle stało.

Ludzie, których desperacja jest wprost proporcjonalna do wilgoci na ich ubraniach, biegną pod daszki, do samochodów, do klatek, do wszelkich wymyślnych klaustofobicznych piekieł. Schronieniem przed jedną fobią jest druga fobia. Ludzie są bardzo szczęśliwymi istotami; mają ich tak wiele, że zawsze się ukryją. Ktoś z grupki stacjonującej w hipermarkecie kopał własny tunel i wyrzucał na powierzchnie brudne półsłówka.
Półsłówka biegały i szukały swoich połówek.
Osoba z innego obozu (pod daszkiem bloku) wyznała:
-To się zawsze zdarza mi.
Pozostali obozowicze przytaknęli.
Jeden dzieciak niezrzeszony krzyczał i biegał po kałużach. Zgromiła go matka jak Zeus. Umilkł i zakwilił, jak człowiekowi przystało.
I chmura znikła w swoim czasie. Woda wsiąkła w ziemię, a wszyscy, jak jeden, odetchnęli z ulgą w tą piękną sierpniową jesień.

OK after several months of procrastination I have finally ordered a kite and KAP rig. I went for a 2.4 meter power sled from Kiteworld and a Brooxe's camera rig from KAPShop.

Once I have the components I will update this blog with the build process

Real time monitoring and management of an infrastructure's state of security is one of the fastest growing niches in the infosecurity market, being recognized as the only true way to enable a proactive security management process - only through prompt observation and timely response may an Organization identify upcoming IT threats and effectively protect their assets from malicious activity coming from both outside and inside their perimeter.

Such needs have been the primary drivers for the development of a Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) process, focused on the monitoring and detection of security events on a network, and the execution of proper responses to those events.

The growing success of such practice (the market is expected to grow from nearly $380 million in 2006 to $873 million in 2010, according to IDC) has been viewed as an opportunity for many vendors who waited little or no time to develop and promote SIEM solutions aimed at simplifying the otherwise highly complex and time consuming process of analyzing thousands/millions of security logs generated by the monitored IT environment and identifying which really pose a threat to the Organization's safety.

But what do these technologies actually do?

A SIEM solution acts as a centralized log collection and correlation mechanism whose primarygoalis to process in real time all logs generated by an IT infrastructure (ie. network devices, databases, OSs, antiviruses, etc.), comparatively analyzing these, filtering out low importance alerts and false positives and promptly signaling real threats (ie. a viral infection spreading, an unauthorized access to a system, etc.) or events which may require actual intervention.

Being the ability to reduce an extremely high number of logs generated daily to a more manageable quantity a primary feature, many recent SIEM solutions now also include Dashboards offering customized interfaces to view information effectively speeding up the incident identification and management activities, such as (event viewing, escalation, incident closure, etc.).

Knowledge and Prevention (K.a.P.) is an Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) solution developed by CON.N EXO' aimed at simplifying the incident management process in a highly heterogeneous IT environment.

"The KAP group is devoted to pictures taken from cameras suspended from a kite line. Membership to this group no longer requires that you have at least one KAP photo on your personal page, but we will only accept images into the pool that have been taken in this way."

A really cool way of taking photos... I would just be too afraid of loosing my camera...
