<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ja, så skete det endelig igen fristets man næsten til at sige, men denne gang har jeg en rigtig god fornemmelse af at de aftalen vil holde hele vejen.  Hvis du intet kender til The River Phoenixs historie, så ville du forstå mig hvis du læste denne ganske udmærkede artikel på <a href="http://www.soundvenue.com/interview.asp?id=430">Soundvenue</a>. Kort sagt har de været forfuldt af uheld siden de vandt DM i Rock i 1996.</p>
<p>Men nu skriver de følgende på deres <a href="http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&#38;friendID=71661530&#38;blogID=365899181">Blog</a> på MySpace:</p>
<p>Kære venner.</p>
<p>Vi er stolte af at kunne præsentere følgende pressemeddelse:</p>
<p>Det har længe været en offentlig hemmelighed, at Kristian Finne og hans kompisser i The River Phoenix har været et stort talent. Før musikindustriens istid vandt bandet DM i Rock (dengang som Softporn), få år efter spillede de den nyligt indviede camping-scene på Roskilde Festival, og året efter skrev de kontrakt med EMI. Samme år rev gruppen EMI-kontrakten midtover, og besluttede derefter egenhændigt og for eget budget at forfølge drømmen om et album.</p>
<p>Den svenske producer Pelle Gunnderfeldt (The Refused, The Hives, International Noise Conspiracy) fik nys om bandet, og sammen indspillede de mere end 2 håndfulde sange. Efter indspilninger i Stockholm, mixing i Lund og en samtidig slot på MTVs Spanking New Music Tour i foråret 2007, kunne bandet endeligt se frem mod det længe ventede debutalbum.</p>
<p>Nu har det verdensomspændende label Nettwerk Music Group skrevet kontrakt med bandet. Nettwerk, som bl.a. har Jimmy Eat World, Billy Talent, Datarock og Sum 41 på roster'en, udsender The River Phoenix's debutalbum</p>
<p>"RITUAL" til sommer verden over.</p>
<p>I Skandinavien vil albummet udkomme nogle måneder tidligere, helt nøjagtigt i maj måned.</p>
<p>Bandets frontmand Kristian Finne, udtaler fra München (hvor han pt turnerer med The Fashion som ekstra guitarist):</p>
<p>Dette er en fantastisk milepæl for The River Phoenix. Det er helt urmenneskeagtigt. Så mange år og så mange ting vi har været igennem som band – uden at have en plade på gaden.</p>
<p>Ritualet vi har udført i snart 10 år uden at stille spørgsmålstegn. Det er øveren i perioden uden udsigten til en skid. Det er brudte løfter, luftkasteller og ting der går i vasken.</p>
<p>Det er mig der vender min side-skildning hver fjerde time. Det er Patrick Bateman minus mordene. Det er musikken og ikke en skid andet. Det er The River Phoenix og det er vores ritual.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I've had some dealings with the guys over at <a href="http://nettwerk.com">Nettwerk Music Group</a> in the past, and let me tell you, for the most part these guys honestly "get" new media.</p>
<p>That's why it doesn't surprise me one bit to see how they've treated the video for The Barenaked Ladies' (A Nettwerk artist) latest single "Sound of Your Voice."</p>
<p>If you're into viral videos then you should recognize nearly everyone appearing in this video.  It's nothing short of brilliant.</p>
