إن التونسيين والتونسيات من ممثلي الأحزاب السياسية وسائر مكونات المجتمع المدني من جمعيات وشخصيات مستقلة ، ومن موقع استشعارهم بجسامة المرحلة السياسية التي تمر بها بلادنا وخطورة المأزق السياسي الذي تتخبط فيه :

يحملون السلطة مسؤولية ما آلت إليه الأوضاع السياسية والاجتماعية ، من تدهور وانسداد الآفاق بسبب خيارات الهروب الى الأمام القائمة على مصادرة الحريات الجماعية والفردية وهيمنة الحزب المطلقة على الإدارة والدولة واحتكار هذه الأخيرة لكل الفضاءات والمبادرات وتعطيل وظائف الأحزاب السياسية والجمعيات وكل مكونات المجتمع المدني والتدخل السافر في شؤونها الداخلية والانتهاك الواسع والخطير لحقوق الإنسان وتوظيف القضاء ضد الخصوم وإشاعة مناخ الخوف واعتماد الأسلوب الأمني القمعي في معالجة الخلافات السياسية وتكريس ازدواجية فاضحة بين الممارسة والخطاب والتلاعب بالدستور والتنكر لمبادئ الجمهورية واعتماد منظومة قانونية تقنن للافلات من العقوبة لاستمرار النظام القائم والقضاء على أي أمل في التداول السلمي على السلطة ، والاستخفاف بالرأي العام الوطني من خلال استمرار مسلسل التضليل القائم على إنكار هشاشة الوضعية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية جراء الخيارات الاقتصادية التي عمقت الفوارق الاجتماعية و ممارسات الفساد وسوء التصرف في المال العام .

- يؤكدون على أن الشعب التونسي الذي عرف حركة إصلاحية مبكرة وبادر بوضع أول دستور في البلاد العربية يقيّد سلطة الحاكم بالقانون، وقرن مطلبه في الاستقلال بالمطالبة بالبرلمان التونسي، وقدم الشهداء ، وناضل خلال عقود متتالية من أجل الإصلاح السياسي والرقي الاجتماعي وتميزت نخبه بحيوية فائقة من خلال صحف وجمعيات وأحزاب ونقابات وأنتج مبدعين في مختلف الميادين وعرف مصلحين أمثال خير الدين ومحمد علي الحامي والطاهر الحداد وفرحات حشاد ....إن هذا الشعب الذي يرفض أن تصادر إرادته مرة أخرى يملك القدرة على إلغاء الدكتاتورية وإقامة البديل الديمقراطي الذي يتطلع إليه.

ومن ثمة نتوجه إلى سائر مكونات المجتمع في هذه المرحلة المصيرية من تاريخ بلادنا بهذا النداء حتى تتحمل مسؤولياتها لتحقيق عقد سياسي يؤسس لمجتمع ديمقراطي وتقطع مع الحلول المغشوشة واستراتجيات المساومة والتنازل على حساب المبادئ .

إن أهداف هذا العقد التى نتنادى للعمل من أجل تحقيقه هي :
1- إطلاق سراح المساجين السياسيين وعودة المغتربين وسن قانون العفو التشريعي العام وتعويض الضحايا ماديا ومعنويا وإرجاع جميع حقوقهم الاجتماعية والمدنية.
2 - وضع دستور جديد للبلاد بما يكفل مبادئ نظام سياسي ديمقراطي يكرس سيادة الشعب كمصدر وحيد للسلطة ويضمن له كامل الحقوق والحريات الواردة في الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان ويفصل بين السلطات ويضمن استقلال القضاء ويسمح للتونسيين والتونسيات بالترشح للمناصب العامة دون إقصاء وينظم التداول السلمي على الحكم ويضع آليات ناجعة لمراقبة دستورية القوانين.
3—بناء دولة قانون ومؤسسات حقيقية تحمي الحقوق والحريات وتعيد الاعتبار لتمثيلية المؤسسات وتمنع الفساد واستغلال النفوذ وتكفل انتخابات حرة ونزيهة .
4—احترام هوية الشعب ومقدساته بالتمسك بعروبة تونس وإسلامها وضمان حرية المعتقد للجميع وتحييد أماكن العبادة عن الصراعات السياسية .
5—ضمان استقلال البلاد وسيادة القرار الوطني.
6- بناء مجتمع تعددي متسامح يقبل باختلاف الرأي ويستفيد من ثراء التجربة التونسية والعالمية ويجعل مؤسسات المجتمع المدني أطرا للحوار الديمقراطي .
7- تحقيق المساواة بين المواطنين وخاصة بين الرجل والمرأة.
8-ضمان حياد الإدارة وتحييد الجهاز الأمني في الخلافات السياسية وقصر مهمته على ضمان الأمن والتصدي للجريمة.
9—تحرير الإعلام وجميع وسائل الاتصال بما يكرس حرية التعبير و شفافية الخبر ويكفل إطلاع الرأي العام على الحوار الوطني بين مختلف القوى السياسية والتعرف على برامجها وآراءها.
10—حسن التصرف في الأموال العمومية وتتبع المفسدين واسترجاع الثروات السليبة وضبط الآليات الكفيلة بمقاومة الفساد.
11-ضمان الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية واستقلالية النقابات وحرية العمل النقابي وتحقيق التوازن بين الجهات والتصدي لسلبيات العولمة وكل أشكال الهيمنة والالحاق.
12-دعم انفتاح تونس وتكاملها مع محيطها المغاربي والعربي والافريقي وتواصلها مع بعدها المتوسطي على قاعدة التعامل المتكافئ ودعم القضايا العربية والعالمية العادلة وفي مقدمتها حق الشعب الفلسطيني في تحرير أرضه وتقرير مصيره واقامة دولته وعاصمتها القدس

إن الموقعين
يسجلون ايجابية الملتقى ويعتبرونه تواصلا لاجتماعي 12 و18 ماي 2003 ولبنة أخرى على درب توحيد الحركة الديمقراطية الوطنية وهم يعتبرون أن الوضع الحالي يدعو بإلحاح إلى توحيد جميع الأطراف الحزبية والجمعياتية والشخصيات المستقلة حول أرضية الحد الأدنى الديمقراطي .
يشكلون لجنة متابعة مهمتها توسيع التشاور إلى كل الأطراف والدعوة في مطلع السنة السياسية المقبلة إلى اجتماع تحضيري يعدّ للمؤتمر الوطني الديمقراطي في غضون سنة 2004 لجمع كلمة التونسيين والتونسيات على البديل الديمقراطي المنشود.

النشيد الوطني التونسي

Alas, as far as I can tell, he isn't much better as Opposition Leader.  His latest call is for the government to guarantee individual bank deposits up to $100,000.  (Kevin07 wants to guarantee $20,000).  I'm no economist, but it seems to me, that when people are already dumping shares and other investments to convert to cash, that such a scheme would only hasten the exodus.  Am I missing something?

Why is it that so many of you like this guy?

It is true that there has been damaged situations and unfulfilled promises throughout the five years of his administration. However, the bombardment of all those detrimental issues highlighted by the media and the blogosphere has done injustice to his efforts of goodwill for the society.

There are several things that should be considered before we mercilessly castigate him for all the current socio-political and economic condition of this country. Here are some aspects of rationalization that may have escaped our attention. Apparently there were various positive principles held by DS Abdullah that had backfired his career's longevity.

Principle of Media Transparency
DS Abdullah Badawi believed in the principle of transparency and freedom of the media. The Malaysian media today is much more liberalized in terms of its news reporting and entertainment.

A) News-reporting
Despite the fact pointed out by various groups that our media is controlled, the patterns of news reporting on issues have explicitly damaged the image of the government. The incessant highlighting of public issues on crime, corruption, misadministration or communalism to some extent has attributed to stir the public's anger and dissatisfaction towards the government. The media has never been as exposing and as controversial in its reports during Dr. Mahathir's period.

B) New Media

Even though media had unashamedly displayed reports that were pro-government throughout the election, previous revelations had done enough damage to the government's image. There were incidents where media licences were revoked but it was then all too late to contain the situation.

Malaysia is much more tolerant than Singapore, Myanmar or China in terms of its Cyber freedom. In 1996, the government through Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) had promised that it will not impose any censorship on the Internet. It was only recently that the MCMC instructed the blocking of an opposition prone website because of its insensitive postings. Unlike Malaysia, Singapore has been taking much more extreme measures to curb cyber political dissension ever since the 1990s. Even its government's foreign service is involved in controlling the signs of rebellious internet politics.

As Dr James Gomez has concluded in his Doctoral thesis, "the Singapore electoral system is impervious to the internet`s impact". Hence, Malaysia is still transparent in terms of its traditional and new media. The 12th General Election was an undisputed proof of this. The proof of DS Abdullah advocating the principle of transparency and freedom of speech as compared to Dr. Mahathir. Both of them had their own reasons for their principles held with pros and cons.

C) TV Entertainment Censorship
Another point to add is that the censorship of local TV stations has been loosened where we see much more of our Malay artistes to be physically revealing. Local dramas are more open in depicting storylines that used to be taboo to our Asian and Muslim society. Finally, much more imported dramas and shows portraying homosexuality that can be seen on our TV screens. In the old days, Information Minister Dato' Mohamad Rahmat didn't even approve of long haired rock stars!

Again, that is DS Abdullah Badawi trying to fulfil the demands of educated and modernized Malaysians on their rights of transparency, freedom of speech and civil liberty.

Fighting Corruption
While Bush was busy waging war against terrorism, Abdullah Badawi was serious in waging war against corruption. Some of the bodies established to fulfill this aim were the Integrity Institute of Malaysia (IIM) and the Disciplinary Board of UMNO (Lembaga Disiplin UMNO or DB).

The DB was meant for witch-hunting those involved in money politics in the 2004 party elections. Few people were caught and penalized for their indictments. Some of these people were big shots in UMNO and were key players in the party's faction network with their own supporters. DS Abdullah's attempt to fight corruption has eroded his popularity among certain groups in the party. However, this was only one of the strands of problems he had to face with the party members. Still, such groups or cliques involved with or caught for corruption within or out of the party has immensely affected his strength as a leader among them.

His Personal Disposition and Leadership
The moment he took over the helm as Malaysia's Prime Minister succeeding a dynamic and internationally successful predecessor, Abdullah had to overcome two stereotypes shaped by Dr. Mahathir in the name of leadership.

A) He had to struggle to keep up with the brilliant track record and high level of performance that has been set by Dr. Mahathir in administrating the country. People had high expectations towards him to manage and develop Malaysia as well as Mahathir but with exclusion of authoritarianism.

b) For more than 20 years, the political members and general public had an ‘authoritarian' leader. Dr. Mahathir had an image as a man of discipline, knowledge and detail. Abdullah on the other hand, had to manage to retain the people's obedience to him as a leader despite of his amicable appearance and consultative approach of administration. Some people just don't listen to him nor fear him.

It is like a child who used to have strict, dominative or patronizing parents and is suddenly taken into care by a lenient grandparent, an adoring aunty or God-parent. Of course, the child would fear the existing guardian lesser than his parents or even to the extent of being too pampered (manja).

As a whole, DS Abdullah had tried to fulfill the expectations and the demands of the Malaysian citizens. He tried to be different than Dr. Mahathir by being less authoritative, more liberal and ethical in administering the country. However, it is not easy to juggle the interests of numerous societies in our nation. Like a leaking boat in the midst of the seas, you try to block one hole to stop a leakage but instead it leads to another. The formulation of one policy sooner or later would have its consequences, always at the cost of other things. The worst part of all is when one does not have a good team to support him as a leader.

All the best to the next Prime Minister, may the force be with you.

Miljöpartiet i regering med Socialdemokraterna efter nästa val? Liberala hippies tillsammans med ett parti som styrs av en högerfalang som tycker småföretagare är viktigare än arbetare (och visst, småföretagare tjänar visserligen mer på en socialistisk politik än på en borgerlig, men jag tvivlar på att det är det förstnämnda högersossarna eftersträvar). Herregud...

Persson var också högersosse. Men han hade guts, han tvekade inte att använda härskartekniker och tjuvknep för att vinna debatter. Han var en ledare, även om han kanske inte ledde landet åt det håll jag och många andra ville. Men han hade sina stunder...

Moderaterna vann röster 2006 för att de, retoriskt, gick vänsterut och drog med sig missnöjda socialdemokratiska väljare. Sossarna tror att de ska vinna tillbaka de rösterna genom att gå högerut. Jag ser inte logiken.

Vänsterpartiet lämnas utanför för att deras ekonomiska politik "inte är trovärdig". Har miljöpartiet ens någon ekonomisk politik? Men skönt för alla miljöpartister som inte kan bestämma sig om de är höger eller vänster. Och bekvämt för sossarnas högerfalang att nu kunna dra till med den liberala klassikern att "om du inte gillar politiken i vårt parti så kanske du ska byta!" (den frasen går att använda på allt från länder och företag. Liberaler är enkla människor) till sina motståndare i partiet.

Inget ont som inte för något gott med sig. Hoppas Vänsterpartiet tar chansen och visar att de står i verklig opposition mot borgerlig politik. Oavsett om den förs av en regering ledd av Reinfeldt eller av Sahlin. Men jag tror, till skillnad från de allra flesta, att Socialdemokratiska Arbetarpartiet kan bli vad de heter igen, ett parti för oss arbetare. Men det är en lång väg dit och det hänger på gräsrötterna, vänsteroppositionen inom partiet och LO. Tills dess får Vänsterpartiet min röst, även om det tar emot ibland det också.

Selbst fuer "Standardprodukte" wie das aegyptische Kushari ist man in Kairo schnell einen Euro los - Kushari ist ein armer-Leute-Magenfueller. Man wirft einfach alles, was saettigt in einen Topf und nennt das Essen. Es besteht in der Regel aus Nudeln, Reis und Linsen - manchmal wird noch ein Klatsch Tomatensauce draufgesetzt. Ich boykottiere Kushari. Lieber noch Foul - die traditionelle Bohnensuppe, so geschmacksintensiv wie die Bohnen eben hergeben, an Gewuerzen wird gespart. Zitat einer indischen Touristin: "Die machen Nahrungsmittel hier irgendwie nur warm und vergessen, sie zu wuerzen." Doch waehrend ich mich ueber den Mangel an Salz beklage, beklagen sich Millionen andere ueber Hunger.

Die Strassengerichtspreise stiegen nicht etwa an wegen hoeherer Lohnkosten, nein. Enorme Lebensmittelpreisanstiege - dieses Jahr monatlich zum Teil fast 40 % ! - liegen dieser Entwicklung zu Grunde. Und was machen die Leute, wenn die Brotpreise ansteigen? Richtig, sie essen nicht Kuchen, sondern gehen auf die Strasse. Und das ist hier dieses Jahr auch schon passiert, und zwar angeschuert und angetrieben durch - eine Facebookgruppe.

Wie, was? Ja, es gibt sie, die andere Jugend - sie ist genauso wenig zahlreich proportionell gesehen wie die Jet Set Jugend der Hilton-Dachterasse. Sie hat oft nicht viel weniger Geld und besucht meistens auch die gleichen Schulen - vorwiegend die private American University of Cairo, die German School oder auch die weniger teure Cairo und Helwan University. Waehrend ein Teil der jugendlichen Elite seine Rebellion allerdings im Privaten austraegt - durch Minirock, Zigarette und Wodka - markiert der andere seine Unzufriedenheit durch oeffentlichen Aktivismus. Selbstverstaendlich ist die Opposition sehr divers und laesst sich nicht auf einen Nenner bringen. Selbstverstaendlich ist sie auch nicht nur jung - aber die Facebook Jugend weiss eben - bzw kann eben - politische Aktivitaeten koordinieren, in einem Land, in dem jegliche oeffentliche Versammlung untersagt ist. Notstandsgesetze gelten offiziell. Im Vergleich zur Strasse ist Facebook ein freies Forum.

Waehrend ich Abends mit der Jet Set Jugend unterwegs bin, arbeite ich tagsueber in einer Zeitung mit dem anderen Teil der Facebook-User zusammen. Dieser Teil der Jugend ist zumeist religioeser, trinken, rauchen oder das Kopftuch weglassen, nein - doch auch hier natuerlich ein breites Spektrum- und er ist national gesinnt - sie wollen nicht weg, sie wollen Aegypten auf die Beine bringen.

So wurde also Anfang des Jahres eine Facebook Gruppe ins Leben gerufen wurde -die oppositionelle Jugend gehoert zu denen, die "drin" sind, wer haette sonst Facebook.. - die zu einem landesweiten Streik am 6. April aufrief in Boykott der hohen Lebensmittelpreise.
Die Gruppe stieg auf ueber 60,000 Mitglieder an - die Proteste selbst am 6. April waren aufgrund der enormen Polizeipraesenz eher gering. In der Kairo- und Helwan Universitaet wurden mehrere duzend Studenten festgenommen; die Gruender der Facebook Gruppe wurden ueber eine Woche festgehalten, internationale Menschenrechtsorganisationen berichteten von Folter. Die Regierung versuchte zwar nicht Facebook zu verbieten - technisch schwierig moeglich (Syrien hats auch versucht... in jedem zweiten Internetcafe kommt man drauf) - doch behaelt es die Online Aktivisten genau im Auge. Hin und wieder kommt es zu neuen Festnahmen; die politischen Gruppen - mittlerweile gibt es welche gegen sexuelle Belaestigung von Frauen auf den Strassen usw. - wachsen jedoch weiter.

Selbstverstaendlich ist e seine Mini-Mini-Minoritaet, die da ihre Opposition kundtut, aber man weiss nie, was daraus wird. Wir haben hier im Buero den schoenen Spruch haengen: Wenn Du glaubst, Du bist zu klein um etwas zu bewirken, dann versuch mal
in einem Zimmer mit einer Schnake zu schlafen.
Und wenn sich jetzt irgendeiner Sorgen macht, was wir fuer regimekritisches publizieren und in Teufelskueche kommen - kommen wir nicht. Die Zeitung ist auf Englisch, wie viel werden sie schon lessen? Vielleicht ist sie den Oberen ganz recht - ein kleines Feigenblatt der Meinungsfreiheit, von der sich jeder Besucher, der keine arabische Zeitung zur Hand nehmen kann, leicht taeuschen kann.

As George Megalogenis (one of more thoughtful commentators on The Insiders) said last week, it is good for the opposition to put a contrary argument to the governments position, in order to force the government to justify its position. But the condition to this is that the opposition shouldn't sacrifice its credibility.

Turnbull's positions of (1) asserting the banks should pass on 100%, despite all expert advice to the contrary and (2) claiming victory for the 80% that was passed on are certainly extraordinary. I guess hasn't done his credibility harm in the long term, but I do suspect he doesn't believe what he's saying.

La raison est simple : ségolène royal n'existe pas ailleurs que dans l'imagination de 3000 personnes venues à la soirée magie et féérie, organisée par l'amicale colombienne des producteurs et consommateurs de cocaine. Ce sont ces mêmes indigènes, porteur d'un secte malencontreusement appelé parti socialiste,  qui par un placement malencontreux ( ils avaient parié près de 3 milliards de dollars sur la libération d'ingrid bétancourt par jérome kerviel ) ont engendré une faillite sans précédent du système financier mondial.

Le PS n'existe plus lui non, c'était une banque d'investissement fantme qui permettait à ces même indigène de faire croire à chaque élection qu'il existait dans ce pays une opposition. Et comme pour toute banque fantôme illusion pour nous sont les profits, mais avec la crise, les pertes seront pour bibi.

Et comme en ces temps de crise il faut aller de l'avant parlons de l'avenir teudieu et non plus de ces reliquats d'un bolchévisme des temps obscur qu'est par exemple ce gourou d'ici et de là, enfants de noé, ( rayer mots inutile pour comprendre la blague nulle)

Désormais, l'hospice est réparée.

Que le chef d'un parti politique organise un rassemblement, je veux bien.  Rien de plus normal, surtout pendant une campagne électorale, pourrait-on dire.

Mais il y a un hic.

Si le bloc québécois dénonce haut et fort les politiques des conservateurs de Stephen Harper, que propose-t-il, à la place?

Le bloc ne prendra JAMAIS le pouvoir, c'est mathématiquement prouvé.  Avec 75 candidats, pour 308 circonscriptions, le bloc a été très chanceux de pouvoir former, à une seule occasion jusqu'à maintenant, l'opposition officielle.

C'est là que je reconnais l'aspect distinct des québécois.  On casse du sucre sur le dos du premier ministre, on le traite de tous les noms, mais on ne propose RIEN à la place.  C'est vrai; comment peut-on promettre des réalisations aux québécois si l'on a aucune chance de former un gouvernement?  Très typique des québécois en général, et de la go-gauche, en particulier.

Pourquoi je fais un lien, ici, avec la go-gauche?  Parce que Gilles Duceppe est d'abord un militant marxiste-léniniste, donc, à peu de choses près, un communiste!  Il a saisi la balle au bond, lors de la fondation du bloc québécois, pour en devenir le premier député élu, les quelques autres, dont Lucien Bouchard, ayant "défroqué" d'autres partis fédéraux pour fonder le parti.  Ainsi, de par son orientation politique principale, Gilles Duceppe est plus proche de Québec Suicidaire - bon, d'accord, Québec Solidaire - que du PQ!

Gilles Duceppe, tandis qu'on en parle, est passé maître dans l'art du changement d'idée rapide.  On se souvient tous de son élan à vouloir prendre la chefferie du parti québécois, suite à la démission d'André Boisclair, en mai 2007.  Au lieu de prendre le téléphone, et d'appeler Pauline Marois, afin de savoir si elle était intéressée, il se présente en sauveur du PQ, sans prévenir.  Le lendemain, alors que Pauline 1ère a annoncé qu'elle allait se présenter comme chef du PQ, Gilles Duceppe, au lieu de s'embarquer dans une course à la chefferie, s'est retiré, la queue entre les deux jambes.  Avant cela, en novembre 2006, Gilles Duceppe a déchiré sa chemise, aux Communes, en refusant d'appuyer une motion, déposée par le gouvernement conservateur, qui stipule "Que les Québécois forment une nation au sein d'un Canada uni", parce qu'il ne veut pas des mots "au sein d'un Canada uni", et se dit même prêt à voter contre.  48 heures plus tard, tous les députés du bloc, Duceppe compris, ont voté en faveur de la motion conservatrice.  Bref, Gilles Duceppe n'a vraiment pas besoin de se mettre un bonnet sur la tête, pour avoir l'air fou!

On dit que la devise du Québec est "Je me souviens".  Peut-être, mais celle des québécois est plutôt "Je me souviens... de RIEN!"  Le bloc québécois n'apportera jamais rien, au Québec.  Ça fait 18 ans, qu'il est à Ottawa, et pendant tout ce temps - et particulièrement pendant les années libérales, le Québec a vu sa position, dans le Canada, s'affaiblir.  Le bloc préfère s'acoquiner avec les "artisses", en BMW, qui braillent parce qu'ils ont perdu leurs subventions, que de s'associer aux travailleurs québécois, qui paient des impôts à Ottawa, et qui voudraient que ces argents servent à autre chose qu'à subventionner des galas.  Gilles Duceppe a trouvé le point faible des québécois; il parvient à transformer des coupures à quelques privilégiés en attaque contre tous les québécois.  Et le bon peuple, qui ne se souvient de rien, embarque.

Du côté de la justice, Gilles Duceppe a encore déchiré sa chemise contre le projet conservateur de resserrer les filets de la justice envers les jeunes contrevenants, profitant du fait que les québécois ignorent que la loi à venir, qui permettrait à la justice de condamner un jeune de 14 ans à la prison à vie, ne s'appliquera même pas au Québec!  C'est ça, de l'honnêteté, monsieur Duceppe?

Tout cela pour dire que le bloc aura beau organiser des gros shows - payés en partie avec vos impôts (1) - à Saint-Hyacinthe, ou ailleurs, pour ma part, hors de question d'appuyer le bloc, dans cette campagne électorale.  Personnellement, j'ai déjà voté, vendredi dernier, par anticipation, et je n'ai pas voté bloc.  Et j'encourage tous les électeurs québécois à ne pas voter pour le bloc.  La raison est fort simple; ils crient au loup, très fort, créent un sentiment de panique, dans la population, mais ils n'ont rien à proposer, à la place!

(1) Les partis politiques qui reçoivent un certain pourcentage de votes, lors des élections générales, ont droit au remboursement, par le gouvernement fédéral, donc, via vos impôts, de 50% de leurs dépenses d'élections.  Le bloc québécois remplit ce critère, comme les quatre autres principaux partis politiques fédéraux, dont les chefs étaient présents aux débats télévisés.

Depuis quelques jours, je m'attarde sur le site du "Prime Minister" de la Grande Bretagne. Le site permet de suivre l'actualité du Premier Ministre Britannique et ce que je regarde particulièrement, ce sont les vidéos de PMQs : Prime Minister Questions c'est l'équivalent de notre "Questions au Gouvernement" mais je préfère la version anglaise. En effet, les échanges entre Gordon Brown et James Cameron, leader of the opposition, me paraissent plus sains et plus sincères que ceux que l'on peut voir au Palais Bourbon. Tout d'abord parce que dans le système Britannique, l'opposition a un statut réel et un droit de réponse systématique. Si Gordon Brown annonce certaines choses, affirment et se défend, son adversaire a autant le droit que lui de l'interpeller, de le critiquer, de le mettre en cause et de le rendre "accountable". Mais le leader de libéraux-démocrates ont aussi un leader qui peut également intervenir autant qu'il le veut sur tous les sujets. Il y a également cette danse que font les Member of Parliament (MPs) de se lever pour demander la parole pour intervenir sur les sujets qui touchent leur "constituancy". Et l'opposition est organisée de telle manière que certains députés ont un rôle particulier comme William Hague, qui fut leader of the opposition contre Tony Blair et avant sa défaite lors de la dernière General Election, et qui aujourd'hui est Shadow Foreign Secretary, l'opposition est donc organisée comme un gouvernement fantôme (shadow cabinet) qui pourrait remplacer le gouvernement en place dans l'hypothèse où ils gagneraient les élections et c'est là que les deux systèmes sont véritablement différents : on identifie mieux l'opposition car elle a un véritable statut.

En pleine réforme des institutions et à l'heure où l'on nous dit que l'on veut donner plus de pouvoir au Parlement et aux citoyens, en nous accordant l'exception d'inconstitutionnalité notamment, je pense qu'on aurait pu mieux régler le sort de l'Opposition et définir plus strictement son rôle et ses prérogatives. Si le Premier Secrétaire du Parti Socialiste, ou le Président du Modem, ou le Premier Secrétaire des Communistes ou le Président du Nouveau Centre, si l'un d'eux avait un statut réel en fonction des influences et des forces en présence, on identifierait mieux un leader, si on accordait ce droit de réponse, ce droit de questionner le Gouvernement sur ses résultats ou sur sa politique, je pense que, comme en Grande Bretagne, il y aurait moins de partis politiques, moins de déchirures comme on peut en voir en ce moment.

Der tales meget om at vi her i Danmark mangler arbejdskraft, og regeringen melder derfor ud, at nu skal vi allesammen arbejde mere end vi allerede gør !!!

Regeringen har med dens decideret uansvarlige håndtering af vores allesammens samfund, dog allerede selv gjort deres, for at skaffe mindre beskæftigelse og meget mindre overskud til danskerne, men denne politiks beskæmmende effekt kommer heldigvis først rigtigt til for alvor at kunne ses, hvis man i denne krisetid vælger fortsat at overhøre centrumvenstre oppositionens konstruktive løsningsforslag !!!

Det er de færreste der vil, magter eller kan arbejde mere, men der findes faktisk forslag, som kunne bidrage til en løsning af problemerne, på en mere langsigtet måde. Så lad os dog spørge efter disse løsninger, lad os f.eks spørge :

• Kunne man tillade førtidspensionister, efterlønnere, folkepensionister og studerende at de kan arbejde op til 20 timer om ugen uden at skulle trækkes i deres grundydelser ?
• Kunne man tillade de landflygtige elskende i Sverige og andre steder, at vende hjem og både bo og arbejde her?
• Kunne man fjerne det skattestop og anlægsloft der er lagt ned over kommunerne og regionerne for på den vis at sætte gang i samfundshjulene?
• Kunne vi tiltrække udenlandsk arbejdskraft, ved at genindføre de medmenneskelige og varme værdier og rammer i og omkring vores samfund, som vi tidligere var så berømmede for  ?   
• Og sidst men ikke mindst– kan vi ikke nok få afsat regeringen og få centrumvenstre oppositionen til magten, så vi kan styre vores samfund væk fra den afgrund VKO regeringen har placeret det på ?

Samfundets problemer bliver, hvad enten det drejer sig om beskæftigelse, integration, trafik, sundhed, eu, social - erhvervs - klima eller finanspolitik ikke løst, men derimod kun øget i intensitet og styrke sålænge VKO er ved magten. Den mest lige og effektive vej til et markant bedre samfund er og bliver et regeringsskifte, ingen tvivl om det, men VKO kumpanerne sidder  klippetungt på deres taburetter og tillader samfundets bærende værdier og søjler at gå tabt, de vil øjensynligt beholde magten og udvise foragten for folket, for enhver pris.Hvor er det dog beskæmmende, ja det er lige til at blive rigtigt godt gal over, for det er vores allesammens samfund der ødelægges i processen, vores fælles nutid og fremtid der står for skud.

Hvor lang tid mon der går før disse ødelæggelser stopper, og hvor meget har de mon nået at destruere, før vi når dertil, at der igen kommer varme og værdige hænder ind og tager vare på vores samfunds sammenhængskraft og bæredygtighed ???

Mr Rudd said the crisis was obviously affecting the global economy, which is why the Australian government decided to bring forward its national building program.

Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull, in a rare moment of agreement, echoed the Prime Minister's sentiments, saying

"Certainly we would be in a much worse position had this bailout bill not been passed."

It is interesting to note the surprising bedfellows this bailout package has made, uniting leaders across the political spectrum in both the United States, Australia, and elsewhere.

Was bleibt denn nun von der "neuen Politik"? Und der "Verantwortung für Österreich"? 

Dieter Zirnig hat in seinem Text "Mehr Menschlichkeit in der Politik. Ja, das wünsche ich mir." darüber geschrieben, was an der aktuellen Politik grundlegend falsch ist. 

Ich vermisse eine Persönlichkeit an der SPÖ-Spitze, die soziale und menschliche Themen vertritt. Und die Menschen näher zusammenbringt anstatt auseinander. Keine “Figur”, die kurzfristig eingesetzt wird.

Die SPÖ hat trotz starkem Verlust den ersten Platz erlangt. Das bedeutet natürlich auch den Anspruch auf den Regierungsbildungsauftrag durch den Bundespräsidenten. Dass Werner Faymann seinen neuen "Kollegen" von der ÖVP, Josef Pröll, schon kurz nach der Wahl unter Druck zu setzen versucht, erzeugt einen fahlen Beigeschmack. Ein Koalitionspakt muss sorgfältig ausgearbeitet werden, vor allem wenn es so viele differente Meinungen zu verschiedenen Themen gibt (und hier natürlich das EU-Thema als größte Seifenblase). Da versteht man Josef Pröll natürlich, wenn er sich alle Möglichkeiten offen lässt.

Die von der ÖVP oft propagierte "Verantwortung für Österreich" scheint möglicherweise auch zu scheitern. Denn nachdem Josef Pröll zuletzt eine Koalition mit den Rechtsparteien ausgeschlossen hat, stehen für die ÖVP nur mehr zwei Möglichkeiten zur Verfügung: die Große Koalition oder die Opposition. Will man jetzt wirklich Verantwortung übernehmen, und für Österreich arbeiten, ist der einzig richtige Weg jener in die Regierung als Juniorpartner der SPÖ in einer Neuauflage der Großen Koalition. Die Opposition für die ÖVP würde einzig und allein ein Versuch sein, die Partei durch aggressive Oppositionspolitik wieder zurück zu alter Macht zu führen. Für das Land Österreich wäre es hingegen ein Debakel. Da ist es doch besser, Wähler durch gute Arbeit für Österreich zurückzugewinnen.

Gerade jetzt wäre es an der Zeit, eine neue Persönlichkeit zu positionieren. Wie Dieter schon schrieb: "Keine Figur, die kurzfristig eingesetzt wird", sondern ...

Eine Person, die den Leuten auch die Vorzüge einer anderen Seite näherbringt. Eine Persönlichkeit mit Vorbildwirkung. Eine Person, die die Bevölkerung zum Nachdenken bringt und motiviert. Sie in gewisser Weise auch weiterbildet und mit ihnen einfach ein paar Schritte weitergeht.

Genau das fehlt in der österreichischen Politik schon seit einiger Zeit. Wer agierte denn zuletzt staatsmännisch? Und gleichzeitig doch so menschlich, dass er es mit wenigen Worten erklären konnte: "Ich weiß, das klingt alles sehr kompliziert …“ [Fred Sinowatz, 1983] Gerade diese Ehrlichkeit fehlt. Hoffen wir auf eine neue Politik. Welche endlich wieder Verantwortung für Österreich übernimmt.

Two labor unions, the California Council of Service Employees and the California Teachers Association, each have given $250,000. Telecommunications company AT&T has given $25,000.

Josef Pröll: In einem Interview mit den OÖN wird Pröll darauf angesprochen, dass Strache eine Entschuldigung fordert, da Pröll ihn 2006 als "Hooligan" bezeichnete. Dies wäre für Strache Vorraussetzung für Koalitionsverhandlungen. "Auch in diesem Wahlkampf waren die Gründe, warum ich ihn dorthin definiert habe, vorhanden. Ich sehe keinen Grund, meine Definition zurückzunehmen. Es ist ja witzig, dass einer, der nur austeilt, dann eine Entschuldigung für eine Hooligan-Definition einfordert." Auf die Frage, ob man mit einem Hooligan koalieren könne, meinte er: "Ich habe ein Gesprächsklima zu allen. Das ist aber etwas ganz anderes als die Frage, ob man gemeinsam die Verantwortung für Österreich übernehmen kann. Being in the opposition in Singapore all these years has cost you dearly and you even had to sell off your properties. Any regrets?

I did not have many properties but I had to sell a bungalow in a very fashionable area in Singapore to pay the judgement obtained by Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. Having sold that, three years later I bought a small apartment, and then I had to sell that too. All in, I had easily about 12 to 13 suits to pay off. Some people say I was a fool. All I can say is I do not regret it because, to me, life is not all about making money and acquiring wealth. Life is doing something for the people around you.

Elsewhere Astrobarry discusses the Saturn-Uranus opposition, which is now apparently within a 5-degree orb and hence officially in force.

An opposition is exactly what is sounds like - on the current astrological chart, Saturn and Uranus are opposite each other. The effects of an opposition are, too, as you would expect - the two energies are literally opposing, or pulling against each other.

To me, Saturn is 'the rules' planet - work hard to reap rewards, put in necessary effort, look at the big picture, grow and progress according to lessons learnt. Uranus, however, is more of a maverick energy - calling on us to ring in big changes, bring on the new world, shuck off ritualistic behaviours, defy cultural norms.

With these two energies opposed, is it surprising, then, that I am ever-more-aware of the huge discrepancy between the-world-and-my-life-as-I-want-it and the-motions-through-which-I-am-forced-to-go-through? I guess not.

Of course the impact of this may be heightened or lessened depending on where these energies are 'hitting' areas in my own natal chart. Investigating this could well be my next project...

Lebedew (48) und Gorbatschow (77) sind bereits Partner in der Geschäftsführung der Kreml-kritischen Zeitung "Nowaja Gaseta", für die die im Oktober 2006 ermordete Journalistin Anna Politkowskaja arbeitete. Während Gorbatschow im Westen bis heute hohes Ansehen genießt, machen ihn in Russland viele für die chaotischen 90er Jahre in Russland verantwortlich.

Ob diese neue Partei eine Wendung in der eiszeitlichen Politik herstellen könnte?
