By Donald Bush
To write successful advertisement content is to catch the attention of the customer

By Donald Bush

To write successful advertisement content is to catch the attention of the customer at first sight as they flicker though the brochures and fliers like they flip through a magazine and not how they will read books with concentration. It need not be necessary that the customer reads each and every line of the advertisement; hence, each line should be effective and should pass out a message. So it’s not only necessary to write logical matter, but it should also be creative enough.

Firstly, only relevant and specific matter should be written in the ad. Some content writers fear missing out information and write as much as they can. This will only disinterest the customers more and space will be wasted. The writing style should be related to the type of flier or brochure that is to be written. Its usual for the reader to read skipping lines in between and there is a possibility that they will read it from bottom to top. It always helps to use words that sell. But still, the content should be properly organized with the heading at the top, body in the middle and conclusion at the end. The main points can be written as sub-headings, in bold font. The body following the sub-heading should discuss the sub-heading and if it is related to any other sub-heading, even those points should be discussed. If the product is to be discussed from the technical point, it should not be so technical that it sounds like a foreign language to a common man.

Chucking is another technique that can be used. Chucking is writing small stories with conclusion at the end. They can either have or not have connection between themselves. Its better if they aren’t connected, because it won’t require the reader to go back to a previous chunk in order to understand the present chunk he is reading. This works quite well when there are pictures in the advertisement and the chunk illustrates the picture. The two-dimensional picture is speechless unless some well-chosen words talks about it and motivates the customers. Obviously, while chucking, sub-headings can be used to let out critical information. Another point to be considered is the product or company about which the content is based on. Suppose if the brochure is related to a corporate, the style of writing should be formal.

Spelling mistakes should be avoided to the maximum extent. They reflect poor quality and bring bad reputation to the client. The design should speak clearly and loudly about the organization being discussed. Unclear, cluttered and illogical information creates an illusion that the company also has the same characteristics. Catalogues are the only source of advertisement for some businesses, because of low investments. Such kind of business catalogues won't require much writing, just product description will do. Instead one can work on the font sizes, colors, etc.

The next step should be writing information about contacts so as to buy the product; detailed forms are big turn-off. Contact information, postal address and website URL should be clearly specified. Also include whether the business accepts cash, check or credit card. Another thing to be taken care of is the contact information, which is usually written on the forms, which have to be mailed. It is better to write them on the advertisement also so that the customers can save it for future reference.

After the final content is written, it’s the time for organizing it. Depending on the demand of the products, arrange them in hierarchy, especially when designing a catalogue because each of the products should get the consideration and attention they deserve.

It is a good habit to write down procedures, which have been applied to every kind of advertisements written. And also save the information like what customers were targeted with what kind of advertisements, to use to the same kind of logic the next time to similar customers. This helps to create a blueprint for a future job.

Semoga bermanfaat.

UK Search Marketing Spend set to slow

According to an E-Consultancy report, spend on search marketing in the UK is set to slow considerabl

According to an E-Consultancy report, spend on search marketing in the UK is set to slow considerably over the coming year. The report (the annual 'Search Engine Marketing Buyer's Guide 2008) predicted that search spend will rise by 24% in 2008, down from 58% year on year growth in 2007 and 65 percent growth in 2006, which in laymens terms would equate to £2.75 billion ($4.9 billion) this year, up from a £2.2 billion ($3.9 billion) spend in 2007. The report predictions are based on the total amount spent on search engine marketing in the U.K., including media spend and money spent on agency services such as paid search management.

Chris Lake from E-Consultancy suggested that this slowdown was not merely down to the economic slow-down but also to a matured UK search market. The report stated:
"Although there is significant room for further growth in spending, the sector is now becoming more established and, as such, cannot keep on such a steep curve indefinitely," whilst going on to say
"While there remains strong growth in the market, the upward trajectory of search has begun to flatten as the industry has become more mature, as has happened in the United States".

According to the report the majority of the spend was earmarked for paid search (approximately £2.4 Billion or 88%), with organic search engine optimisation accounting for around a mere £330 million (circa 12%). It should however be noted that year on year SEO spend is expected to increase by 32% this year. That is hardly suprising in my opinion given the saturation of many of the paid search verticals, where cost per click can make entry to the market prohibitive to a certain extent. Whilst there are certain verticals within the organic framework that are certainly as saturated I personally feel there is significantly more growth within the sector, particularly given the greater integration of blended search within the search engine results themselves.

How many times we come across fretting businesses of how they drained thousands of dollards in ppc without any results?

We at google advertising experts encounter new customers who have theie faith from PPC search engines faded and are looking for a longer term organic and ethical seo solution.

Let's take a simple analogy to this scenario. Take a successful brand business and see how much they spend in pay per click vs their organic marketing efforts. Not a single company (who are of course managing it well) will complain.

Would these companies spend in google adwords day by day, year by year to get new leads everyday if they were not getting any return from the advertising? What are they doing that others are not? What works for them in the same system that doesn't for others?

The answer is "doing the homework". Google adwords is probably the most advanced advertising system that gives targeted leads day by day, all measurable and packed in a easy interface. Why most people fail to get leads is because its important to understand the consumer bahaviour, the system and the process before jumping into the field.

Over the years, we have established expertise by managing thousands of dollards of advertising for our customers and we have seen exceptional results for businesses. Is $10 per lead really expensive if you are selling a $100, 000 truck? How much would you rather spend in offline media getting that sale?

Perhaps, businesses try to copy others by looking at their success, but by no means PPC is going anywhere. Its here to stay. It helps smart businesses sustain a regular flow of leads, as opposed to the long and unguaranteed SEO techniques.

If you think we can help you, call us today toll free at 1-877-RANK-TOP and see how we can setup a steady system that generated leads for your business everyday!

Until next, best wishes from the Google Advertising experts team.

I know i am currently going through SEO, but i would like to put that on hold while i vent my excitement at what Google are creating.

There is now a beta version of thier new web browser called Google Chrome. I have downloaded the beta version, it does look pretty elegant. It is different to what we are used to with IE and FireFox or various others that you may use. It really stresses pure simplicity and I am a big fan of this. I took a few screen shots of what it looks like, one with the Google home page and one with the Ryan website:

I just caught up on some reading and wanted to talk a bit about the new Google Suggest. You've probably all encountered this technology at some point on the web while doing a search. I've been using this for some time through the Firefox search box, but didn't know the history behind it. As you type the first few letters of a search query, a drop down menu appears offering you suggestions based on your intent. This can be extremely helpful if your not sure on spelling, or if you are searching for something you're really not sure about, like song lyrics or famous quotes. And for those of you looking for an edge in your keyword list generation, you can add this to your list of suggestion tools as well. After making its way through the Labs at Google, Google Suggest is now available on Google.com. I use iGoogle quite a bit and I don't see that feature working there yet, other than showing you suggestions based on your search history. Another great feature about this, especially for SEM/PPC folks is that it couples those query suggestions with an approximate search volume for each.

All you digital marketers out there - how is your PPC Search in India going?
An interesting article

All you digital marketers out there - how is your PPC Search in India going?

An interesting article came out on Marketing Vox last week with regard to how India is just not using Search and lagging behind the rest of the world.

According to a study conducted by comScore, India represents just 2 percent of the world's Internet searches and Google sites represent 81 percent of the Search marketing space in India. No surprise there!

I have been struggling to get good results in terms of sales from PPC Search in India, but then I work in a market where, in India especially, my company's products are usually purchased offline through intermediaries. I expected a below average performance from PPC Search in India when compared to other countries in Asia, even before we started the programme. The CTRs are very high, but the conversions are low.

There is without doubt a search online, buy offline mentality in India, and I imagine it will continue to be like this until the appropriate infrastructure is in place and consumer trust in the security of online purchases, especially products of high value, grows.

There is just over 5 percent Internet penetration in India at present, but this is growing. It will be interesting to see if Search rises over time as access to the Internet grows. With the government clamping down on Internet cafes though, I imagine the growth of Search will be slower than people imagine.

I think what is certain however is that PPC Search in India has a place in a company's marketing mix - not necessarily solely to produce a sale, but as a branding and awareness mechanism. All we need now is to be able to tie a click on a Search ad online to a purchase through an intermediary offline in order to see the true value of the PPC Search activity - this is the marketer's holy grail, and I don't think we will ever get there!

After writing about why SEO is good for business, I’m sure there are some of you out there who would like to know how it actually works.

First of all people go on courses to do SEO, so explaining how it works in one article is a little less than easy, however I will explain it to you part by part over time.

SEO which stands for Search Engine Optimisation is basically a process of improving unique visitors to your website via the means of a search engine. One famous search engine that I’m sure comes to everyone’s mind is Google, as well as others including, msn, yahoo, and ask.

Search engines can find your website by using targeted keywords. But of course, how does a search engine find these set keywords? Google send out their own “spiders” to pick up certain keywords, downloading a page and stocking it onto the search engines own server.

ikram (http://kramput.blogpsot.com) nilai PR-->5 (cukup besar lho)

trian (http://3an.blogspot.com/) nilai PR-->4

andre (http://yumcatz.wordpress.com) nilai PR-->4

kita lihat saja..

On August 28th LindenLab® announced their release of Second Life 1.21 RC0 exiting! Well this releas

On August 28th LindenLab® announced their release of Second Life 1.21 RC0 exiting! Well this release will be the first of it's kind as it will enable the option for getting your scripts compiled to MONO through a new option in the script editor. And after a while they released a new revision that corrected the bug that prevented PPC mac users from using it, now its all clear and everybody should be able to use it. Also, for some people it seems that this new viewer isn't having a good performance, I encourage reading the Release Notes for this viewer, as they explain they have enabled the thread-watchdog debug function which slows down the performance as each thread is enabled to monitoring, this can be fixed by adding a command line argument.

˝We have enabled some special debugging checks during the Release Candidate cycle. These have a short term effect of causing the viewer to crash more when something goes wrong, but it assists Linden Lab to improve stability by identifying those failure cases. We appreciate that you send us crash reports that occur!

These extra checks WILL be removed in a later iteration of the Release Candidate. But these can be turned off by a Resident at any time:

Turned on Thread monitoring (Watchdog) during the Release Candidate cycle

Thread monitor will detect when the application is frozen for a period greater than 20 seconds and possibly force a crash with detailed logs

Thread monitor can be disabled by choosing to never report crashes, or with a command line setting "--set WatchdogEnabled 0"

The threshold timing of the thread monitor is set in the file \SecondLifeReleaseCandidate\app_settings\settings.xml under the key "MainloopTimeoutDefault" ˝

There are also a lot of improvements, and bug fixes, starting by a cool new feature that allows you to transfer inventory items by dropping them in the conversation IM. The tools menu seems to got restored to always be shown due to the users asking for it back, it wasn't a great deal for me but i guess it wasn't a problem to have there on top. We also got with this viewer some changes to the LSL api:

˝Changes to LSL:

Add an LSL call llGetRegionAgentCount() for count of agents in region

Add an LSL call llGetAgentLanguage() to get user's viewer language setting

Add "touch position" information to touch-events in LSL

llDetectedUV()

llDetectedST()

llDetectedTouchFace()

llDetectedTouchPos()

llDetectedTouchNormal()

llDetectedTouchBinormal()˝

The release keys button has been moved to the world menu, cleaning the interface. Now in the chat window your messages will appear under your name rather than under "you: " that was the way used, a new option for friendship requesting is added, and now it will allow you to enter a custom phrase at the request like "hey wanna be my friend?" hehe but remember not to go around asking people as they will think you're a jerk and nobody likes that. Well so this update will add many features and corrections, some of these "bug-fixes" are really bug fixes just nearly patches to prevent you doing certain things that would fail silently instead of truly implementing them but well we still in early stage of the development so we will start blaming them when we're at RC10 :) So the overall rate of this release will be quite good, no crashes for now and good performance. Let's hope that with the further releases it gets even better.

Building a website to earn Google AdSense advertising revenue has become a popular way to make extra

Building a website to earn Google AdSense advertising revenue has become a popular way to make extra money online nowadays. It is easier to earn AdSense income versus generating sales by selling products or services online. However it does involve works, time and money before you start earning from Adsense program. Below are the steps to creating a content website for earning AdSense revenue.Step 1
Decide the content of your website. You can write a topic or subject related to your interest, hobbies or experience. You can also provide educational information and advice on your website if you are expert at something.

Step 2
Use a website builder to create your website. One of the easy-to-use website builders that can help you build a website is Bluevoda website builder. Bluevoda site builder allows users to build a website without technical knowledge. You don’t need to build your site from scratch. The trick is to use a free professional template provided by the site builder and then start adding your text and links to your website. You can add some graphics and pictures to make your site look nicer. After completing your website project, your next step is register a domain name and sign up for a hosting account to publish your website on the Internet.

Step 3
Join Google AdSense program. It will usually take several days for Google AdSense team to review and approve your site. If Google accepts your application. You can start learning how to generate AdSense code for inserting to your website to generate Adsense revenue. If your site rejected by Google, don’t get upset easily. Google will let you know the reasons of the rejection. You can fix the problems and reapply again.

Step 4
You need to drive targeted Visitors/Traffic to your website to generate Adsense revenue. The higher your website’s traffic the greater your Adsense earning will be. Below are some of the ways that can help you drive some traffic to your website in short period of time.

1) Use Per-per-click (PPC) advertising. The two most popular PPC search engines are Google and Yahoo. Google and Yahoo can deliver instant traffic to your website but it is costly to advertise on Google and Yahoo. There are other alternatives like Bidvertise.com and Clicksor.com which are cheaper to advertise with.

2) Introduce your site to your family and friends.

3) Write several articles with a link to your website on the resource box and submit them to article directories. You can find a list of article directories by going to Google and entering the search term 'article directory'.

4) Post messages on community forums with a link to your site on the signature of each message posted.
