Every programmer knows that a code is an essential part of the program, of course besides the logic

Every programmer knows that a code is an essential part of the program, of course besides the logical schema, which has to be worked out beforehand. In web design it is particularly important: it is viewed as a building block by an internet explorer as well as search engine optimizer by Google, yahoo, msn and all the rest of the search engines. Thus the proper use of HTML tags will be an optimal tool in order to fulfill the top search place.

As I have already mentioned in my previous paper keywords are playing the most crucial part in SEO, but the combination of those keywords in html tags make it even more extreme in order to achieve SEO. Everybody knows what a Title and Meta tags are and it was talked about a lot. But in reality because of the fact that crawlers and spiders are searching contents from your website starting from top and ending at the bottom, these tags are vital for you to consider.

For example you are a businessman who opens his own small business and tries to attract clients through the web. Your product is weight loss protein shake. You want to be on top of the search list and your company's name is Magical Weight Loss Shakes Inc, and you product is Body Slimming Shake.

Again hierarchy of the web pages will play the key role here you can look it up in my previous article, home page->>products page->> body slimming shake page

Title Body Slimming Protein Shake - Magical Weight Loss - Lose it fast /Title

It is a little bit vague as it might seem from the first time but I covered 3 most important keywords in my title: body slimming, weight loss, lose weight fast. Of course you will choose to name the product so that it reflects the essence of what you do, this will also help you in search engine optimization.

Another important HTML tag is Meta. At this point I would be very picky, don't just repeat every single word all over again, if you will do it, Google will see you as a spam. Try to think as a client who wants to lose weight and searches tips over the web. So I'm a 300 pound man wanting to lose weight but don't want to exercise, I go to Google and search for lose weight with shakes. Top three listings is what I need because I'm too lazy to go further open those three windows and go to view (in menu bar)-> source -> and look at their meta tag. Those are essential keywords of your competitors, don't rush to cut and paste it, think what you want to achieve.

Lets get back to our example

meta name="description" content="Body Slimming Protein Shake - Magical Weight Loss - Lose it fast"

meta name="keywords" content="body slimming protein shake-magical weight loss-weight loss, become slim, become slim fast , weigh losing programs, protein shakes for weight loss and slimming, want to slim down, want to lose weight, no exercise weight loss programs... etc
You can go on like this until you think you are satisfied just be reasonable don't repeat one single word all over the place.

Theme: The Morning Of - The New Is In

[caption id="attachment_7" align="alignleft" width="242" caption="Ando, The Programmer"][/caption]

You seem like you get down on yourself pretty easily. Does it have anything to do with your self image, or your environment?
Hell no. Bloody—I got drunk and whinged for an hour or two. You try sucking down a keg of crappy beer and see how cheerful you are in the morning.

...er, right. So you're not normally a gloomy person?
I didn't say I was or wasn't. You draw conclusions real quick for someone who generally thinks pretty slowly.

Can the abuse. I think it's safe to say you're pretty abrasive—
Safer than those blunt scissors they pass out in kindergarten.

Ahem. Given that, we'll move on. Let's talk about your situation. How do your parents feel about having a son where they used to have a daughter?
My mother's fine, I guess. She still buys me dresses and those kinds of things sometimes, forgetful maybe. I just give them to friends or toss 'em in a corner of my room. There are still girly things I keep, ya know.

Oh? Why's that?
That's not a fun topic.

We'll get back to it, then. How has your father been dealing with it?
Personally I think he's got a tree trunk up his ass over it. Whenever it gets too much for him, he tends to go off on a trip, with or without my mother. And if he goes without her, she gets all put out and then goes on a trip for herself, and I've got the house to myself again. He still calls me by my stupid first name, too.

Which I know you won't share if you don't absolutely have to.
Bingo.

So why do you keep some of your "girly things"?
Ugh, that's kind of got to do with my father as well. If he's freaking out and doesn't go off on a trip—then he calls up my grandmother and invites her to stay for a weekend. Or a week.

This is a coping mechanism of his?
Not exactly. It's more like revenge on me, or a last ditch and obviously useless attempt to rewind or fix me. Some kind of shit like that.

What do you mean?
My grandmother doesn't know about the "Change", and chances are, she never ever will. She's more traditional than a cup of English tea, and scarier than a Saw marathon. Every time she comes over, I have to put on makeup, get in skirts and shit, and generally prance about like a moron. My voice is neutral enough that I don't have to really fake anything there. I'm sorta right in the middle. But I have to shave my legs—all the time. Just in case she drops by.

...that sounds pretty rough.
No kidding. I actually took up swimming so the leg-shaving thing would make sense to my friends. Oy, when she visits, I even have to wear ribbons in my fucking hair. I tried hats, but she makes me take 'em off at the dinner table. Earrings help, too, but I don't really like piercings on my own body.

But you do have a tattoo, don't you?
Yeah. It's not really a recent thing, the logo for a group of programmers I worked with—we all got one, joked about being a gang. Then Decky moved to Holland and we all sort of drifted apart. Still, I kept in touch with Decky. He's pretty cool... heh, he pretended to be my date once or twice, to get me out of a few oldbag visits.

Why do you go through so much to please your grandmother? I understand she's an important family member, but...
It's not really—def' not a respect thing. She's my family's wrinkly oldbag mealticket. If she found some reason to cut us off, my father would very likely murder me. If she hadn't got to it first.

Gotcha. Maybe we should move on a bit, you seem a little agitated...
You bet your ass. I start talking about her and I can go through a pack in about an hour.

You shouldn't smoke so much...
That's what Jussi says, but it's just 'cause he's studying to be a doctor.

That's a good topic, actually. How did you meet Jussi? He's not exactly in your regular circle of acquaintances.
What's that s'posed to mean?

Well, he's five years older than you, doesn't really party, and generally has his life together.
He's also completely barmy. That must be where we fit in. ...ugh, fine. You wanna know how we met? I'll tell you. His friend—actually, a mutual friend now, Caj, tried to get off with me at a particularly shitty party, and Jussi stepped in to save his ass. He ended up buying me a mineral water—I was fifteen then, still just cross-dressing, and...anyway, he ratted me out about my age to the bartender and I gave him a black eye. It was magical.

So you've been friends ever since?
If you call him being a constant annoyance "friendship", then yeah. He's always popping over to the house with lunch or breakfast, or coffee, or something. One year he brought me vitamins for five months straight. Every damn day. God he's a sad sack.

You sound quite fond of him.
That I am. I don't think I would have made it through my ops without the bastard.

Hello all Rubists!!!

After a much needed summer hiatus, the Ruby on Rails Project Night 'community' is set to gather again on Friday September 19th at a NEW location: the Rich Media Institute!

As some of you may realize, this is a new evening for us. I don't intend on having our get togethers on Friday, but September 19th is very special.

I am pleased to have James Robertson, Cincom Smalltalk Product Evangelist, joining us on his 'Canadian Tour' to look at Seaside and WebVelocity:

WebVeocity is a new Smalltalk Development Environment that is oriented around Seaside for Web Development and Glorp for Object/Relatonal Mapping. Come and see how WebVelocity re-targets the Smalltalk development experience into the Web Browser and simplifies the challenge of learning a new environment for newcomers. We'll even build an entire application using Active Record and Scaffolding during the presentation, with minimal programming. If you're a fan of Ruby on Rails, you need to come out and see this presentation!

We will also be joined by local Ruby on Rails developer Paul Doerwald, who will examine insights gained from working with ActiveRecord validation internals.

As always, it is the audience - and their participation - that really makes these events great; so I hope you can all join us for this special opportunity. These FREE presentations will take place on September 19th starting at 6pm until approx 7:30pm at the Rich Media Institute.
