Wayne Rooney has said he is pleased to be scoring again and says he is also lad to be helping the team.

Rooney has now scored 3 goals in 3 successive games for United and said:

"I just want to help the team really but of course, I am pleased to be back scoring goals."

"I tend to score in spurts. I have been like that throughout my career. Hopefully I can go on like that."

Rooney is fit to face Kazakstan on Saturday in England's World Cup qualifier and also the Belarus game on Wednesday 15th October.

He also added:  "This was a really good result for us and I think we have repaired the damage now.

"That is four of our hardest games of the season out of the way and we are still in a decent position in the league.

"Hopefully we can go on a good run now and start climbing the table."

Blackburn 0-2 Man Utd

Man Utd kept up their recent good form with a comfortable victory against Blackburn at Ewood Park.

Wes Brown opened the scoring with a header and Wayne Rooney made it number two in a game which easily could have been five or six for United. After a promising start from Blackburn, United started off very slowly. United finally found their rhythm and a Wayne Rooney cross from the left wing found the head of Wes Brown but the goal got the home side fuming though as goalkeeper Jason Brown thought that Nemanja Vidic was impeding him. Blackburn rarely threatened and United then took advantage as Wayne Rooney struck the second. Ronaldo made a blistering run down the right which was to good for Olssen and then the Portugese midfielder pulled it back to Rooney to score. United then had a number of chances as a Rooney lob just went over the bar and sub Tevez also struck the post. United before the game were handed a boost as Rooney was declared fit after the injury picked up in midweek.

Man Of The Match- Wayne Rooney (9): Played superbly and showed he is back to his best. Rooney destroyed the defense and he was to clever for them. His crossed for Wes brown before scoring a trademark goal.

The match ended as a draw with both teams earning a precious point. However united would not be happy with the way they performed in the past two matches, after having taken the lead in both their campaigns.

Minutes later both Scholes and Rooney came on as substitute, the game suddenly came to life with Scholes providing some pin point accurate passes. However the talk of the day was Wayne Rooney who scored in the far corner after Ronaldo had marvellously set him up with a back heal.  At the whistle, United were the winners with two goals to nil.

Blackburn look to continue their good form against champions Man Utd. United have won only one of their last eight league visits to Blackburn.

Both teams are in good form with Blackburn lying seventh and United having won their last three games. But United have been dealt a huge blow as Rooney, and Scholes who is out for 10 weeks will not play. To add to that United are already without Hargreaves and Carrick in the heart of midfield.

Talking Tactics: Blackburn will play be a threat up front with Matt Derbyshire and Santa Cruz so they will play high balls as they are both 6ft. Also centre back Samba is very tall so he will be a threat in corners.

PREDICTION: 1-2: United have too much power in their team and should beat Blackburn but Rovers will put up a fight. Ronaldo will cause too many problems for Warnock.

E eu digo mais: As palavras que você usaria para qualificar aquele Big Brother que passa de madrugada, não passam de pura brincadeira de criança na festa de comemoração de 1 Ano do nosso blog. Os mais de 5 mil funcionários, se reuniram desde ontem, à meia-noite na região da Vila Olímpia, em São Paulo, numa festa regada a muitos games, bebida, comida e música ao vivo com 50 cent, Chris Brown, Fall Out Boy e Foo Fighters (os dois últimos, que eu mesmo mandei trazer) e ainda estão até agora comemorando lá no andar de baixo ( já são mais de 40 horas de festa!).

Vocês tinham que ver: Cido Coelho acabou de tomar um banho de champagne na cara e saiu xingando até a mãe dos leitores, porque tentou xavecar uma funcionária do setor de Marketing, que não aprovou sua tamanha picardia...

Last weekend was Iowa's Homecoming (and I hear that I am lucky to be such a nerd and to have chosen to do homework over watching the game. Cmon Hawkeyes! make Nate Kaeding proud!) and to celebrate there is always a concert after the parade---this year was Rooney!!!!! (and Chuck Berry, also very cool) AHHHH, MICHAEL MOSCOVITZ IN IOWA CITY!!!! I saw the Princess Diaries movie before reading any of the books, so Robert Schwartzman will always be Michael to me. Whether he likes it or not. sly smile.

anyway, so I got out of work and walked downtown to wait for my friends before watching the parade. Wait, what do I hear?? is that a heavenly angel doing a soundcheck? NO IT WAS MICHAEL MOSCOVITZ! (omigosh I hope Robert doesn't google himself and read this...) The stage for the Homecoming show is just out in front of the Old Capitol Building, so the Rooney boys were essentially just doing their preshow stuff outside--meaning that I could literally just walk right up to the stage and watch. Don't worry, I tried to look cool. I leaned against a rock and took out a newspaper while slightly shaking my head along to the music. OMG! there were literally only like five other people there watching with me--so chances are good that maybe the guys in the band made eye contact with me??!! I was trying really hard to have a quirky-Midwestern-girl-I-am-enjoying-your-music-very-much-but-I-am-not-throwing-myself-at-you smile, which is really hard to do. Especially when you are panicked that you are giving a I-may-look-23-but-if-I-come-face-to-face-with-you-i'm-going-to-scream-and-steal-some-of-your-hair-for-a-scrapbook smile. here is a representation of the situation:

except imagine my hair shorter, and Robert looking less like Michael Moscovitz.

oh, and just to make a connection between Rooney and another teen-girl book sensation. Their video for "Are You Afraid of Me" is all about vampires. Yes.

oh and this is one of the songs they played while I was watching soundcheck and my eyes glazed over. Totally reminds me of Phantom Planet's "Hey Now Girl"--as in I love it.

So, United are beginning to find a little form and have a lengthy run of more than fixtures it seems we may be in for a treat, last night's injury to Paul Scholes not withstanding.

Dimitar Berbatov's brace on his European debut was really a gift, both goals came as a result of poor Danish defending, but the nonchalance with which the Bulgarian accepted the chances and the restrained nature of his celebrations underlined his potential as a natural successor to you know who.

Berbatov has been slow off the mark. His first two games at Chelsea and Liverpool didn't help, although he did set up Tevez's goal in front of the Kop - the game at Stamford Bridge was far too fast for anyone of skill to really influence the game.

Yet in the second half against Bolton there were signs that he'd finally settled into some kind of form, a delightful over the shoulder cross being a particular highlight. Last night he missed a sitter in the opening five minutes but later, after he'd opened his account following a Danish defensive howler, his touches were reminiscent of Cantona at his best, a back heel flick for Nani and another perfectly weighted ball for Ronaldo should have added to United's tally in Denmark.

Not only that but amid the overgrown teenagers in United's squad Dimitar lends an air of sophistication, a contrast to Anderson's endless hair experiments, Cristiano's acne and Wayne's puppy fat. His arrival at Old Trafford on transfer deadline day dressed in sober yet stylish attire was a good sign. His cool utterances since have conveyed the kind of maturity United sometimes lack, typical of this was his reference to his scissor-kick second goal as a 'tap-in'. Berba is definetely not a member of Wayne's posse.

Some have claimed that Berba's unwillingness to track back or close down counter-attacks is a weakness. They have also accused the Bulgar of a lack of energy. One over-paid football columnist derided him as 'static', 'it certainly makes him easier to dust' he opined. This is so obviously an ABU wind-up that it's not worthy of a response.

On a more general note it has to be said that 'working your bollocks off' remains one of the most overrated abilities a footballer can have. It is a typically British response to claim, after a defeat or a disappointment, that at least such and such a player 'sweated blood for the cause'. I don't think they say that in Italy or Brazil - but what do they know, they only have the 9 World Cups between them...

The beauty of Berba's performances so far have been the cameo pieces of control and the understanding he is establishing with his youthful colleagues. Amid the strain and commitment of Tevez and Rooney and the multiple stepovers and Drama Queen behavior of the Portuguese contingent, Berba's laid back attitude to the art of goalscoring is a cause for celebration not scorn. A star has most defintely been born.

Estes são apenas alguns dos muitos craques nascidos em outubro.

Nenhum outro mês foi tão generoso com o futebol.

Paul Scholes cedera saat pertandingan baru berjalan 15 menit. Alex Ferguson mengatakan bahwa Scholes kemungkinan tidak bisa mengikuti pertandingan selama 2 bulan.

Ada lagi pemain selain Scholes yang cedera yaitu Wayne Rooney.Wayne Rooney cedera pada bagian engkelnya. Pada menit ke 59 ia digantikan oleh Carlos Tevez.

Walaupun demikian Rooney sempat mencetak satu gol dan Dimitar Berbatov menambah kemenangan MU menjadi 3-0 setelah mencetak dua gol ke gawang Aalborg.

Ronaldo is back, and he along with Rooney and Berbatov up front are surely due to tear apart some defences soon. Rooney did head of with a knock but it's supposedly only precautionary. Fingers crossed. Nani also made some good crosses but doesn't feel like he's making a huge impact on games just yet.

It was great to see more of Rafael da Silva. He looks an awesome attacking full back. He's yet to have to show much of a defensive display though, tonight he had a lot of freedom. I feel a little bit for Wes Brown who deserved to start, but this was as good a game as any for a debut for the youngster.  What wasn't so good was the injury to Scholes. I was hoping to see more of him coming on as a sub to change a game rather than starting with him as Fergie has been, but this is apparently 6 to 8 weeks out, so that's a strong option lost for several games.

Although tonight wasn't the most taxing opposition, we are gradually beginning to look sharper. Thankfully the pain of the defeat to the Scousers is fading. I hope to see us really perform in the next few premiership games and we need a good winning streak now.

As for the other bands lets see...the first one I want to talk about is Narration...a band from Strawberry Hills, London, UK...I found them first on myspace and well just the first song had me hooked...(Miracle that's the song name) and then they had a few more songs New York City is a good one, and then their new one which you can by on itunes is called Not Alone, which is GREAT!!!...so here is the link if you want to check them out...

Okay we have Sick Puppies...okay another myspace band I found, and just loved the music, now this is on the radio, but the cd is great, so I say if you check them out, and like the music go out and by the cd, its so worth the money!!!

Saturday (28-9-08) Match Report:

Well, Liverpool was victorious in the merseyside derby. No surprise there considering Everton's defence was all over the place since the beginning of this season. Torres is back on the score sheet but Robbie Keane was unable to break his duck. Another flop perhaps?. He will join the ranks of Cisse, Baros, Veronin, and Bellamy to name a few. 20million will go down the drain.

Was there a penalty at Old Trafford? Definitely not!!! Nonetheless, Rob Style has his own idea. Jlloyd Samuel has made an excellent tackle, but the flying Portuguese was more convincing. I'm not complaining since I'm a united fan, but that was an awfull decision by the referee.

After Arsenal's big win against Sheffield, we would think that Hull would roll over. Nevertheless, Hull proved us wrong. To win a game from a goal down required something special and it was Giovanni's goal. It was an absolute stunner! I predict a good future for Hull in the premier league.

Yeah, that ^ was me, reacting to that important little tidbit just now when I was stalking Robert Schwartzman's IMDb page. GAHH!! I can't believe I had no idea that they were the same person! *facepalm* See, I had a total girlhood crush on the character of Michael from the Princess Diaries (both in the book and the movie) and I'm addicted to Rooney's sound (their music is reminiscent of the Beatles but with a slightly modern twist to it), so I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that ROBERT SCHWARTZMAN is MICHAEL, AHH!!!
