Now, wasn't that worth Scrolling down here?

Well, not really, but after about 56 fine hours in the town, all I can think about following my weekend there are the last 15 brutally awful hours. And it's led me to doubt that it is worthwhile to travel and see your favorite NFL team play an away game.

For anyone who doesn't know what happened during the New York Giants Monday Night Football visit to the Cleveland Browns, all I can say is that it left me feeling cheated, as the team I came halfway (sorta) across the country to support did not offer me the courtesy of showing up to support me. They were terrifyingly outplayed in every way, and in no way resembled the team that stunned the "Best Team Ever" in Superbowl 42 and had recently risen to the top of every media outlet's NFL Power Rankings. Perhaps a loss like this needed to happen for them to ground themselves a little and let some of the swelling retreat from their heads. But it didn't need to happen in a game that I traveled to attend.

But I'm not here to talk about the merits of the game. It's over and done with and, as disappointing as it was, is not something that's likely to live with me forever. On the other hand, the behavior of one person in all of Cleveland certainly will.

The people of Cleveland, generally, seem to be a lovely people. Throughout the weekend and particularly leading up to game time, I entered into many good-natured conversations with Browns fans who wanted to give me a little bit of shit for being a Giants fan in their town. Almost none of it was obnoxious, and for the most part, my father, brother and I were treated with respect, if not for a little boos and hisses in our direction. Good times had by all.

And then we walked into the stadium. And we went up the escalator and got to our seats, where we were predictably surrounded by Browns fans. And sitting right behind us was a person so uncommonly awful as a human being, it made me nostalgic for Donald Rumsfeld.

The first thing I heard out of this kid's mouth was, to his buddy, "Hey, we should start and 'Eli's gay' chant." I mean, that right there is a terrible sign. It let's me know that, not only am I likely to endure three hours of trash talk designed solely for agitating me, but also that I can expect that trash talk to be O'Reillyean in it's level of intellect. And it just got worse from there. He went on to expand his ability to predict a man's homosexuality by letting us know that, not only is Eli Manning gay, but so are my father, my brother, myself, and indeed all of New York. He called my 65-year-old father a pussy. He threatened, ad nauseum, to spill his beer on us. He tried every conceivable verbal way of baiting us into a fight or an argument or just anything that could justify his painful existence. Fortunately, the calmer heads of the Godino Trio prevailed. We fought hard and fought successfully to completely ignore this child, but that only got increasingly more difficult once I finally saw what this little shit looked like. He was, as I suspected from his nasally, Great Lakean voice, a skinny little drunk douche who was most likely touched by an uncle and could never come to grips with the fact that he enjoyed it. Knowing that I could in all likelihood put this kid in the hospital only made it harder to ignore him. But I knew that it would be a winless situation. First off, as the fan of an away team, I wouldn't be fighting one person, I'd be fighting a section. Second, as I said earlier, it would justify his putrid life. And finally, it would only serve to disappoint myself and my family by stooping to such a lower person's level. But it was hard. To make matters worse, I was concentrating so hard on ignoring this kid, that it made it more difficult to concentrate on the actual game. I guess, due the game's outcome, that may have been a good thing. But at the time, it only infuriated me more.

Fortunately, we weren't the only people in our section that were disgusted by this kid. His friends or associates or whoever it was sitting with him (a couple) clearly were not impressed, evidenced by the girl half of the couple turning to her boyfriend and saying, "Why the fuck do you have us sitting next to this asshole" (I'm paraphrasing here. Steve heard it, not me, but it was along these lines). Even little douchey doucherson's own girlfriend wasn't pleased, as she constantly pleaded with him to stop and told him she was embarrassed by him. Eventually, at the start of the third quarter, she had had enough, and she dragged him out of the stadium. And while that act of kindness by her ended the nightmare that was my proximity to this child, it left me with a lingering, and admittedly unfair, distaste for the city of Cleveland, and it's made me realize that, win or lose, it isn't really worth it to travel to an away stadium to watch my team play as visitors. In fact, if it weren't for the wonderful people sitting in section 103 of Giants Stadium, I might not even want to watch the Giants play at home. I just think the American Football Fan is becoming painfully similar to the European Football Fan, such as the fans in Madrid who have just seen their remaining Champions League home tilts moved to a neutral stadium, due to fan racism. I watch old videos of men in suits and hats watching football games at Yankee Stadium during the 50s, and I wonder how in such a relatively short period of time, we've fallen so far as to have people treat each other like so much trash, just because we don't like the same team. This isn't gang warfare, for crying out loud.

OK, I'm off my soap box, and I apologize for getting up there in the first place. I just needed to explain why there wasn't a more immediate post from me following the game or my trip to Cleveland. I just needed time to recover.

Positive highlights from the trip include seeing an old college friend and her husband, watching a great slate of Sunday games at Bob Golic's sports bar, right near the lake in downtown Cleveland, getting a fist bump from Carl Banks and Howard Cross as they were leaving Golic's sports bar and I was slugging down my third Bookers of the hour (which was preceded by a day's worth of beers), and most notably, the ESPN Monday Night Football luncheon that a friend of mine was able to sneak my father, brother and I into. I can't go into depth about it because I need to get moving, but what I will say is that being in the presence of one of the all time greatest athletes in American sports history is an overwhelming experience. As a Cleveland Brown legend, Jim Brown was the guest of honor for the luncheon, but seemed more like he was presiding over the event like Don Corleone. With reverance, all of the other athletes in attendance paid Brown their homage, and for a second, I thought Eric Metcalf was going to get down on his knee and kiss Brown's ring. Even in hobbled, old age, Jim Brown owns a room full of athletes, media moguls and ESPN big heads (the president of ESPN was there, and seemed childlike in comparison to Jim Brown). It was a great experience, and Maureen, should you ever read this, I thank you dearly.

Only bad thing about the luncheon was that Bob Golic, another former Cleveland Brown in attendance, was wearing a shirt that did nothing to hide his frightening breasts and hard nipples.

Im Artikel selbst findet man wirklich schaurige Zeilen, wie etwa folgende auf Seite 30:

Summary: There’s a man named Job who…really? Do you really not know this? Okay, God tells Satan that Job will never curse him (God), and Satan does a bunch of horrible shit to him, and it ends up with Job questioning why bad things would happen to him, a good person who obeys all the rules, and God telling him that Job doesn’t have to run the universe and how about he mind his own fucking business? Then God gives Job back everything he lost.

The Problem of Evil is not a phrase that appears in the text. I learned about it in the Philosophy of Religion class that I took in college (summary: it was boring), and it’s basically this question: Why is there evil in the world?

Here’s the problem with Job, as phenomenally written and poetic (and it is) as it is: It gets close. It really, really does. But in the end, God’s answer is that suffering of some is necessary for the happiness of others; for some to go up, others must go down. And that’s all fine, but isn’t the whole point of becoming one of God’s chosen people that you’ll never go down?

I mean, that’s the entire fucking reason to do it. Back in Leviticus, God’s pretty clear that if you’re in his chosen people, then you are set for life. Your crops will grow, you’ll get exactly as much rain as you want, your enemies will all fall down and die, and you’ll live in a magical happy fairyland (if you’re not in his chosen people, imagine the same thing except bad and a little worse). So if God has already decreed that, then why would bad things happen to a good member of his chosen people?

Well, the book doesn’t really answer that question. Job’s problems were based upon Satan’s belief that he’d renounce God in times of trouble. But Job was chosen specifically because he was so incredibly pious and faithful, because he had been devoted to the LORD for his entire life, because he had always helped the poor and allowed wayward travelers to stay in his home. If Job was chosen to be made miserable because of how well he followed the rules, then what’s the point of following the rules?

And I’m not going to go into whether or not God should have even allowed Satan to ruin Job’s life (my position: not), but this was a bad example in the first place. Why should it have been Satan (it's barely been explained who Satan is, by the way) who ruined someone’s life instead of his life naturally getting ruined? If the whole power of the story is that bad things happen in life and they have to happen, then why was this one so unnecessary? God, of all people, wouldn’t need to ruin someone’s life just to find out what would happen, because he’s God and he should already know.

Let’s say I ask God “Will the Large Hadron Collider destroy the world?” You know what’s a totally unacceptable response from God? “I don’t know. Let’s give it a shot.” But let’s also say I don’t get that response, and instead God says “It’ll kill a bunch of people, but in the end it’ll turn out all right.” If I say, “Prove it,” then God should pretty much just tell me that no, he doesn’t have to prove it because he’s fucking God and he knows everything.

But instead (and I’m moving from my metaphor back to the story), God allows Satan to engage in a wholly unnecessary act of evil. He destroys Job’s crops. He kills Job’s servants. He kills Job’s sons. He deforms Job and makes it impossible for anyone to even look at him. And Job is absolutely miserable. Here are some selected quotes from him:

“If my troubles and griefs were weighed on scales,

they would weigh more than the sands of the sea…”(6.1-3)

“If only [God] would go ahead and kill me!

If I knew he would, I would leap for joy” (6.9-10)

“Month after month I have nothing to live for;

night after night brings me grief.” (7.3)

“[God] sends storms to batter and bruise me

without any reason at all.

He won’t let me catch my breath;

He has filled my life with bitterness.” (9.17-18)

And why is all this necessary? What greater good is this serving other than satisfying the whim of Satan, who is described in the footnotes to my Bible as “A supernatural being whose name indicates he was regarded as man’s opponent.” All the pretty words in the world can’t mask empty ideas, and there are no answers here. There is a story, and however well told it may be, it’s still hollow.

Some other notes…

• Remember how people’s children aren’t supposed to be punished for the sins of their parents? Well, Job’s children are punished for the complete lack of sin of their father. That jerk sure should have known better!
• I didn’t mention this above, but most of the book is actually the dialogue between Job and his friends, when Job’s friends insist that he sinned and Job insists that he’s innocent. His friends are later reprimanded by God for believing that he must have sinned, but what were they supposed to think, God? Maybe they just had absolute faith in your goodness and rules. You ever think of that?
• Also, and I did briefly mention this above, but the dialogues between Job and his friends (and later God) really is spectacularly well done. It’s by far the best written thing so far in the Bible.
• There’s a bunch of little things that bother me because they’re clearly wrong, so I want to get some of them out now: 34.19 claims that “[God] does not take the side of rulers.” That’s clearly not true. Go look at David or Solomon or Joshua. He liked them just fine, and they benefited from it a lot. There’s the oft-repeated claim that people are made of clay and dust (which we are not, for the record). There’s the repeated references to the Pillars of the Earth, which I do not believe it actually has. There’s the contention that oppressed people should pray instead of getting help from other people, which is ridiculous. And for Chapter 36, my notes just say “No,” so I’ll assume there was something there that was particularly egregious.
• And finally, the part where God talks to Job? It’s a myth. It’s a fable. It’s fucking ridiculous, exactly like American Indian myths which I brought up back in my Genesis essay. I think the only people who could read this and not see that are probably already blinded by religion.

After exhaustive research into the Illustrious Order of Nine Angles, I have found three things that seem to permeate the miserable and pathetic creation that is simply created and recreated in the minds of those who desire some resolve to Satanism, be claiming sinister and arcane knowledge, nothing short of convulsed and distorted information plagiarized from ancient tomes and remixed into a formula that proves this group nothing short of Pseudo.

1. The gentleman named Anton Long was a creation of the Order of Nine Angles, a avatar that loyalist created to formulate a master role, then have the avatar step free later codifying the falsehood.

2. The idealisms of culling and ceremonies thereof are public knowledge and therefore as they act as if all is secret and unknown, all is really known and available to the general public, making this another lie, and misleading to the general Satanist.

3. The membership that approached me and desired to form a perfect organization have since decided to run the entire organization off a Word Press site, and produce a series of silly videos and presentations that offer up all the same information offered up in text and general information, so the secret society is in need of releasing secrets to survive!

The Order of Nine Angles is merely and Internet effort to build a false organization, that really never existed except in the minds of the hopeful Satanists that desired the diabolic approach to Satanism.

The diabolical approach is not beneficial to Satan, the desire of a group to provide anarchist thoughts and ill founded desires in servitude to Satan is mental ill, there are causes a Satanist should join up with however this group of Internet Satanists known as The Order of Nine Angles is great for someone who prefers to don the “Hail Satan” shirt and type away negative banter, as exhibited by their frail attempts to attack this author, but belongs on line and the interested should be very careful.

I find an interesting facts that my articles so have exposed this group for the fakes and cultist they are they fail to attack my ideologies they just attack a person they do not know and continue to provide false innuendos and fake stories of me.

My life story has been provided numerous times, and so I laugh as those who really know me and those who are devoted to the Temples of Satan.

Chapter 9 highlights oracles and the continued worship of Apollo and the order of Pythia by witches around the world. Horn's focused on the idea of energy in nature (in animals, trees, etc) that could be used by other-dimensional beings to power up these portals and let them come in. Horn quotes from a couple people (available to read at the companion site), one of which had to coin some words to explain his lunacy and the lunacy of those he's quoted in his own book - teleplastic morphogenesis. The concern for Horn is that Koch and company might be right, that these "angelic beings" may be using some tricks of the occult to get noticed.

Some people have a few tricks of their own to create visions, though, utilizing things called Psychomanteums, which appear to be devices or places that allow people to contact the dead or enhance angelic encounters. But, are they really contacting the dead, or do these things actually tune into the Alien FM Call-in Show? By extension, is Heaven possibly a realm of alternate dimensional super-beings? Is poltergeist activity proof of their power over this dimension? Horn appears willing to concede this could be the case.

Chapter 10 offers up the likelihood that humans are descendant of an alien race, offering the reader some tantalizing rumours of alien DNA in our genes. I can't tell if Horn is copying John Stokes or if it's the other way around. Doesn't matter much anyway, as Horn's real interest is the connection between UFOlogists and Christians looking toward the Second Coming:

Hal Lindsey states, "I have become thoroughly convinced that UFOs are real....I believe these beings are not only extraterrestrial but supernatural in origin. To be blunt, I think they are demons." In Angels Dark and Light, Gary Kinnaman agrees: "I am fairly convinced that....UFO sightings are the manifestations of angels of darkness. My main reason for thinking this is that UFO sightings have never, at least to my knowledge, led a person closer to God. In fact, most UFO experiences have just the opposite effect."

To men such as these, it's easy to believe that demons are involved with "flying saucers." According to such theology, "evil spirits" can manipulate energy and matter, and the theological terms, "Transmogrification" and "Poltergeist" ("noisy ghost"), imply that spirits make lights go off and on, doors bang, and saucers fly. Yet if a portion of "flying saucer" activity is demonic, what nefarious purpose is served by the stealthy nature of UFO phenomena? The answer, they say, is diabolical.

So, aliens have been coming to Earth ever since ancient times, but always were mistaken for gods and the like. Humans became portals for these Nephilim things because everything written in the bible is completely and utterly true and the bible says it happened therefore it happened (Gen. 6:2,4). Apparently the Greek pantheon is filled with gods who'll be against the "True GOD" (tm) come the End Times but no worries, the "True GOD" (tm) will triumph.

And as an extra special bonus, this portal idea sorts out the whole "dragons in the bible" problem once and for all. Yes, the dragons are really the serpents which are really the devil and all that, and all came here from somewhere Other. The Leviathan is not a dinosaur in the bible at all. Nope. Horn's got the real answer here. It's a BFA - a Big Fucking Alien.

Part 10 finishes with this:

If such an assumption of the Biblical View is correct—that a real and evil supernatural presence exists and has for centuries drawn men away from worshipping Yahweh through the dynamics of various mythologies—the following questions arise: Were the angels that joined Lucifer in the fall also driven by a lust for worship? Did the images and attributes ascribed to the gods of mythology somehow reflect the real and spiritual characteristics of certain unseen personalities operating behind them? More importantly, is the kingdom of Satan still at work in this manner? Do the living entities of ancient gods continue to pass through portals, to walk among us? If so, do such spirits embody themselves in trees, earth, and idols of stone, or should we assume modern idolatry has acquired a more selective sophistication and social manifestation? One that has in this century brought clearer detail to their gray image?

Answers to these questions come in the final chapters, hopefully. It's a clever concept, I have to admit - what makes an idol, what makes the thing have meaning beyond itself?

Something else that isn't adequately explained, though - why can't the "True GOD" (tm) be an alien, too? What if Christ was an alien and every Christian is actually worshipping our future alien overlords? How is that good? What if bleeding Mary statues are really aliens in disguise who get power from human tears? What if the aliens are trying to get our attention via toasted bread products? They used to use the wind in the trees but really, who's outside much anymore to notice a message like that?

What if all their power will come from the faithful who pray every day and the real smart people are the atheists who don't give them any energy at all? Maybe it really won't be our fault when the world collapses...

The global economy is in a free fall. It is the Tower of Babel knocked over by the hand of God. How did we get here? We are here because we rejected God’s law and God’s order to embrace the Society of Satan. We rejected God’s law over politics, war and economics because we, with Adam and Eve, want to be like God, to determine good and evil for ourselves. We didn’t want God to tell us that our laws were evil, our banking system was evil, preemptive strike warfare is evil, the United Nations and NATO are evil. After all, what does God know? We have our own gods now in Washington DC and New York. They predestine our future for us so God can go back to sleep, except God isn’t asleep.

Just like Adam and Eve in the garden, politicians like Barney Frank and others are evading responsibility for the economic crisis. They blame the markets and not their own “divine” regulations which is the real cause. When you see yourself as a god, how can you fail? There is no right and wrong for a god. They are above that.

The central planners bear no risk for their decisions and poor planning. Alan Greenspan is not being punished for inflating us into these bubbles. Jimmy Carter’s home is not being taken away for forcing the banks to lend to unqualified, credit shaky people because to do so was claimed to be racism. McCain, Obama, Clintons, Bush, Frank, Dodd, Pelosi, Wall Street CEO’s who jumped with multi-million dollar parachutes, none of these are paying the price, yet. Eventually, they will face God’s judgment, either in this life or the one to come.

We live in a society that has become increasingly satanic as the secular State plans our lives for us from cradle to grave. The State seeks to predestine and control every aspect to what foods we are allowed to eat (FDA), communications (FCC and eavesdropped by NSA), education, welfare, taxation, medicine, economy, employment, foreign aid, and much more. This is a manifestation of the Tower of Babel.

America, since Lincoln, has become Babylon. Lincoln ended the old covenant form of federal government that was subject to Biblical law and replaced it with a centralized, socialist government and the end of freedom. Babylon is the society of Satan. Its foundation is sand, man’s fiat word. In fact, as the stock market is proof of, it is quicksand.

Fractional reserve banking is rooted in witchcraft alchemists who attempted to design a potion that would turn ordinary base metals into gold; in essence, something for nothing. Our banking and economic systems are religious systems, but anti-Christ to the core. It’s foundation is theft. Steal from one group of people, the producers, and give to another group, the politically connected wasters and non-producers.

The national government stole you money and gave it to the bankers. They lied and told you this was to help you. It won’t. it was to help them. You and I have been defrauded. “Although those who hunger for power are small in numbers, it’s easy to entice the masses into believing that government can provide for everyone’s needs and safety.” (Ron Paul, the Freedom Report, Sept. 2008)

The bailout was for losers, the non-producers. Lehman Brothers became a non-producer; so did Wachovia, Indy Mac Bank and AIG. The Federal Reserve Bank and the national government swindled the American people to keep many of the losers afloat. Socialism is a system of losers because Babylon is a false religion that will always experience God’s judgment.

The Tower of Babel is religious. It is the worship of the State or statism. It believes in ad hoc law or rule, created at the moment to fit the situation without the restraint of eternal law. It manifests with a proliferation of imperialistic bureaucracies and bureaucrats. It believes in the divinity of the central planners and that salvation is primarily political. This is true of all tyrannies that receive popular support.

The people want their messiah to fix their problems by a fiat word. They want a divine State because they have no faith in a Creator God and reject His law. The people have looked to kings, Caesars, parliaments, councils, Lenin, Stalin and Hitler to give them political and economic salvation. God decapitalized them all. In the U. S., we have deified Lincoln, John Kennedy and now Barak Obama is offered as a political savior.

What these men and their political orders have in common is a hatred for God’s law and His Kingdom. Their supporters reject personal responsibility. They and their supporters want to eat even if they don’t work. They don’t want to be responsible to save and invest wisely for their retirement, so they choose a political order that promises Social Security, Medicare, and now pay for their drugs as well. Saving for prosperity is difficult. They want to spend themselves to prosperity. Like the alchemists, they want economic magic.

Now that the Tower of Babel is falling on Wall Street, investors are shaken in their faith in Babylon. The same old plan of injecting fiat currency and more debt into the system did not bring the stock market up again as the central planners had envisioned. Instead, it experienced a historic drop. Plus, the majority of Americans did not support the bailout.

It doesn’t matter though because Bush, the Republican, and Democrat leaders coerced Congress to pass it and ignore their constituents back home. Faith in Babylon is dying. We must once and for all reject the idea that the elite few are capable to magically create safety and prosperity for the masses. That is socialism and it has always failed in history.

Yesterday, October 13, 2008, the stock market experienced another historic event; a surge of 936 for the Dow. This follows a pattern similar to that of the Great Depression. There will be ups and downs but essentially, the slave economy of socialism is collapsing just as the Berlin Wall fell. We need to rebuild the economy and all of life upon a foundation of God’s law that prohibits theft, even theft by a majority vote.

This nation prospered because it was founded by Christians who subjected all of their lives, private and public, to God’s law. Andrew Jackson stated that, “The Bible is the rock upon which the Republic rests.” If we are to recapitalize our economy, we must repent of our national sins and return to that rock.

God has brought judgment to the Tower of Babel. What will the nations choose as their substitute; the City of God or a new tower? America is about to choose a new president, but the real question is, who will America choose as king and who’s law will America follow, Jesus Christ or the Babylonians? To continue to choose Keynesian, socialist economics is to reject Christ and His claim over us.

Will we choose to repent, return to God’s law and hold our elected officials accountable to God’s law, or will we trust the State to be divine and create ad hoc regulations that will strangle the economy even more so we will reap even greater destruction and judgment?

The second one is called "The Rock That Doesn't Roll". The title alone made me laugh. It's catchy. It's been stuck in my head for days. My wife know its humming by heart by now. She hates it.
The clip below is the original recording from 1977, but there are concert clips also. A regular concert from 2007 here and a concert from 2008 that seems a bit more personal and loose here. In the second concert it's just him and his guitar, and he doesn't remember all the lyrics.

TODAY’S MESSAGE
The early church was persecuted for their faith. Many were ostracized from society, living in poverty and starvation. Others were imprisoned. Many martyred for their faith. But ironically, this persecution caused the church to flourish. It forced them to band together and have a bond of love that the world has never seen again. It was an infectious witness to those around them. Instead what was more of a spiritual battle was Satan’s battle for the mind of the early believers. It was an all out assault on the truth of the Gospel. During the time this passage was written there many people challenging the message of Christianity. There were some who said that the death of Jesus was not enough that we still had to obey the Jewish law. Others said that Christ was not the real Messiah, or Christ was not the real Son of God. Today it is the same story. Neil Anderson, in his book, “Bondage Breaker” reminds us that our battle with Satan is not a power struggle but a truth encounter. Satan comes to us as the father of lies. We are assaulted by one lie after another. Doubts and half truths constantly attack our mind. But we need not despair. Why? Because John wrote that we are from God and have overcome all these falsehoods and lies of Satan. How is that so? Because Christ in you is greater than Satan and his spirits of deception that is in the world.” Today, when lies, doubts, and half truths come your way, resist them. Tell them to flee from your mind and focus on the greater thing, the truth of Christ and His love for you.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Thank You Lord for Your strength and power. Thank You for protecting me. But also Lord, thank You for Your truth and the fact that You are greater in me than Satan and his lies in the world. Lord fill me with Your truth.
AMEN

You cannot fear men and the sufferings they cause, and continue to successfully serve God. Being "faithful" means not giving into the pressure of men and women (and not giving into so-called "Christian" men and women) to compromise your love and devotion to Christ.

• "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from the LORD." (Prov 29:25-26)

• "So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." (Heb 13:6 & Psalm 118:6)

The fact Jesus states is that they will suffer persecution. This agrees with what Jesus stated even while he was on earth:

• "But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be save." (Matt 10:17-22)

• "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." (II Tim 3:12)

But Jesus promises a crown of life to those who are faithful to the end. This agrees with other scriptures:"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." (James 1:12)

Notice he states: "behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried..." People don't like to think of it this way, but when they persecute true Christians, they are under the direction and control of Satan - they are doing his bidding. Many of these type of people think they are doing what they do for God - but if it is against his word, they are doing it for Satan. Before the Apostle Paul was saved he was in this deceived condition. He was persecuting Christians and he believed he was doing it under God's direction! Now Jesus warned us that this would happen:

"These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me." (John 16:1-3)

“Intolerance has been the greatest hindrance to progress in every period of time; yet under the sable cloak of perverted zeal for religion, nations, while boasting of their civilization, and professed ministers of the Gospel of Christ, have stained the pages of the world's history with the record of such unholy deeds of persecution as to make the heavens weep. In this respect, so-called Christianity ought to bow its head in shame before the record of pagan toleration.”[i]

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Words mean things”? Words are the method by which we communicate. When used properly words can convey our thoughts, dreams, vision, and emotions. Words tell us stories and history.

Words also tell us whether something is true, or not. The Holy Bible conveys with words absolute truths by which God instructs us on how we are to relate to Him, His Son, and live our lives. The Book of Mormon is also comprised of words.

We find the following words that explain the method of how the Book of Mormon was translated.

“The first story is one from our Church history. You may recall that during the period of the translation of the Book of Mormon, Oliver Cowdery desired to translate. We can imagine, if we place ourselves in Oliver Cowdery’s shoes for a moment, how he must have felt. Picture in your mind the second floor of a remote little house in the eastern part of the United States in the late 1820s. Oliver’s associate, Joseph Smith, may have said, “Oliver, you’re going to spend many hours each day as my scribe. I am going to translate and you are going to write down the words. You cannot see the plates as I am translating from them. I will draw a curtain and you are going to be seated behind it. Take your quill and manuscript paper and you write as the words are spoken.”[ii]

It is interesting that Mr. Cowdery was not allowed to see the brass plates that Joseph Smith translated. The author of the article quoted above goes on to say that Mr. Cowdery may have eventually seen the plates. There is no proof that he ever did. Cowdery did sign a statement along with two others who claimed to have “seen” the brass plates, but the wording in the statement indicates that they saw them not presented by a man, Joseph Smith, but presented by an angel, which leaves the encounter of seeing the plates physically completely suspect.

Joseph Smith’s wife, Emma, worked as Smith’s scribe for a period of time and never saw the plates. This issue of people never actually seeing the brass plates has been a strong point of contention for many over the years. Those who oppose the LDS Church’s claim that the plates were real state emphatically that the plates never really existed.

Words specifically and their various uses are not the whole point of this writing. Words cannot always fully convey the point people attempt to make. Sometimes pictures are needed to help clarify the true nature of something that is controversial, whether it is true or false.

The picture above is a case in point. During my study of the missionary guide, “Preach My Gospel”[iii] written by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church or Mormons) I came across this picture on page 38. I was surprised to see it, because it does not portray what the LDS Church has historically claimed as the truth in the way the brass plates were translated into the Book of Mormon by Joseph Smith and written down by his scribes. This picture does not describe what Crawford Gates states in his article, “You cannot see the plates as I am translating from them. I will draw a curtain and you are going to be seated behind it.”

It does portray what the LDS Church of today would like for people to believe and think about them. The picture clearly insinuates that there is nothing questionable or untruthful about the origin of the Book of Mormon. It clearly depicts that people other than Joseph Smith saw them while they were being translated.

In Mormonism’s stated history the plates were never seen physically by anyone other than Joseph Smith. The assertion that they were physically seen is a relatively new tactic being used by the LDS Church to mislead those they approach who question the origin of the Book of Mormon. With these who question its authenticity they attempt to deceive with misdirected imagery as they spread their specific brand of “gospel”.

In the picture we find Joseph Smith leaning over the brass plates laid open and exposed on the table. Across from Smith is a scribe who writes as Smith dictates. The plates are uncovered and in full view for the scribe to see.

Until very recently the Mormon Church’s account of the translation of the plates included a curtain that always separated the scribe from the plates. In the summer of 1989 I had the opportunity to challenge two missionaries with questions related to Joseph Smith’s concealment of the plates while they were being translated. The response I received went something like this in summary.

The curtain was necessary, because the translation of the Book of Mormon was not complete. Joseph Smith was a special prophet chosen by God to reveal the restored gospel to the world. No man could look upon the plates except Joseph Smith, because they were “so pure and holy”.

Of course this encounter took place long before “Preach My Gospel” was available and the training of LDS missionaries was not as “Christian focused and oriented” as it is today. The LDS Church’s claim on Christianity is actually a very recent advent. During the period in which I encountered this set of missionaries the church looked at Christianity as something apart from itself. All non-members of the LDS Church were labeled “Gentiles” (Note: Even those of the Jewish race were considered Gentiles).

Why has the LDS Church abandon the original form of this story about the translation of the Book of Mormon? Until recently the Mormon Church had never experienced a slip in its numbers where new American converts to its church were concerned. Over the last ten years the number of Americans coming into the LDS Church has not grown, but declined.

This decline set off an alarm with the leadership of the LDS Church and beginning sometime in the mid to late-1990’s a call to Christianity (mainstream Christianity) is heard from the LDS Church Conference pulpit. Suddenly they compared themselves to other Christian sects and asked to be adopted into fold of Protestantism. Before this time they had a desire to be seen as anything other than a “Christian” organization like Protestants, but sought their own separate and unique category not Jewish and not Christian.

The “fruit” of this movement by the LDS Church toward the mainstream is made evident in the church’s recent sponsorship of multi-religious, cross denominational, meetings and events. These meetings and events were touted by the Mormon Church as bringing different Christian religions together so that commonality could be found and agreed upon by various sects. Another “fruit” was the LDS Church’s involvement in the donating of land to Christian churches, so that non-LDS churches could be built.

Money and time were donated by faithful Mormons to help erect and build structures that would become non-LDS Christian churches. This was done under the guise of neighborliness and Christian “charity” in hopes that Mormons would be seen as the everyday Christian. The LDS Church’s hope in this specific method in seeking acceptance was an attempt to leverage the public’s opinion toward an adoption of the LDS belief system as purely Christian.

So how does all of this apply to a single picture in a book that is used solely by the members of the LDS Church? The Mormon leadership would like for the world to believe that it is open and up front in all its dealings with mankind. They would like for those who follow the true and living Christ Jesus to accept them at face value as fellow Christ followers. They desire to be seen not as the occultic group of heretics they are, but as members of the larger Christian fold with simply a different point of view.

Unfortunately for the LDS Church it can never break away from what it truly is; a community of self-centered, self-oriented, and a Satan motivated den of wolves. The communities of true Christ followers discern the Mormon Church for what it truly is, because God opens the eyes of those who faithfully accept His Son and follow Him. Satan’s job is to use those who are willing, like the leaders and members of the LDS Church, to forsake God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit in luring people away from the absolute truths spoken by God.

Sometimes Satan uses people and the written word to do his damage. Sometimes he uses people and words spoken verbally to add to the dismay and confusion of those who are lost. Most times he uses people and their invented imagery to flood the eye of the weak with lies that lead them to believe something that is completely false.

The latter of these three above, answers the question about how this picture applies to everything that is written here about the LDS Church. The LDS Church is built upon those original lies told by Joseph Smith, revised over time to accommodate and capitalize on the spiritually weak, and today is invented a new to lure the faithless to the fold of those murdered, spiritually, for Satan’s sake. Jesus said,

“Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.” John 8:43-45 (English Standard Version)

Jesus was speaking to the Pharisees when He made this statement, but there is ample application for those of us who live today. Men and women apart from God’s grace and mercy are 100% resistant to the teachings of Christ. The LDS Church falls firmly into the Christ stated category of those who will not listen to Him. It is overwhelmingly evident in the falsehoods they have written, taught, and even painted about Him and the true nature of God.

The portrayal of Smith in the picture above is just one of the many lies that the Mormons have attempted to convey that subtly alters their history for the sake of palatability. The many of their other lies have driven men and women away from what God has said about Himself, His Son, and how They (God) truthfully relate to mankind. The LDS Church has applied human assumption to the glory and righteousness of God, lied to ease their consciences, and have deceived others into believing their falsehoods in the process.

God despises those who perpetrate lies for their own sakes. His judgment is against them both in worldly terms and eternal terms. King David spoke about the liar in Psalms.

“Do you indeed decree what is right, you gods [mighty ones]? Do you judge the children of man uprightly? No, in your hearts you devise wrongs; your hands deal out violence on earth. The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from birth, speaking lies. They have venom like the venom of a serpent, like the deaf adder that stops its ear, so that it does not hear the voice of charmers [whisperers] or of the cunning enchanter [spell casters].” Psalms 58:1-5 (English Standard Version, Amplification by Author)

God said to Jeremiah about those who claimed to be prophets, but lied to God’s people.

“And the Lord said to me: "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds… For I will pour their evil out upon them.” Jeremiah 14:14 & 16b (English Standard Version)

It is clear that the LDS Church by providing a place for this picture, a picture which portrays a lie about their own teachings, in the book that they have touted as the most important educational work ever, have deemed lies appropriate for the edification of their members. Why would they do something like this? They do this, because they serve their father the devil. They appeal acceptance from the world of mainstream Christianity, so that he (Satan) through the Mormon Church, might infiltrate the ranks of the true Christ follower and drive many away from the only true and righteous God.

Mainstream Christianity has long refused the acceptance of the LDS Church into its fold and they have done so with good reason. Just one of those reasons has been revealed here. The truth will always be correctly discerned by true Christ followers where God is made the focal point of a lie. God cannot and will not ever let such a thing as the Mormon Church stand in the way of those who are honestly called to a belief in Him.

Après 12 ans d'absence, Dragon Ball revient avec un nouveau film attendu sur les écrans nippons courant Novembre 2008! Akira Toriyama a repris son crayon pour nous sortir ce dernier opus en date appelé "Dragon Ball: Ossu! Kaette Kita Son Goku to Nakamatachi" que l'on peut traduire par " Dragon Ball : Hey! Songoku et ses amis sont de retour!".

Celui-ci sera diffusé à l'occasion des 40ans de "JUMP" (célèbre magazine japonais) et du Jump Super Anime Tour à l'automne.

Pas mal de nouveautés pour ce film; je vous laisse en juger à la vue du résumé

2 ans se sont écoulés depuis la défaite de Majin Buu permettant ainsi à Satan de devenir le héro qui a "sauvé le monde". Un gigantesque hotel est construit en son honneur où il décide d'y réunir tous ses amis : ChiChi, Gohan, Goten, Videl, Krillin, C18, Tortue géniale, Piccolo, Goku et Végéta. En plus de la famille de Songoku et de Végéta, sont présents aussi : Dende, Mr. Popo, Karin-sama, Yajirobe, Yamcha,  Kaio-sama, Kibito-shin, and Elder Kaioshin.

Les médias ne sont pas invités, cependant beaucoup ont fait le déplacement et interrogent Satan sur son combat contre Buu. Durant cette agitation, deux vaisseaux spatiaux approchent. Piccolo et songohan sont les premiers à les remarquer, suivi par C18. La tension monte...

Un guerrier de l'espace en sort suivi d'un petit alien. Ils utilisent leurs lunettes pour repérer les guerriers les plus forts et arrivent sans tarder à l'hôtel. En voyant Végéta, le guerrier de l'espace s'exclame : "Grand frère!"...laissant tout le monde sans voix. Celui s'avère être Table, le petit frère de Végéta, envoyé à la naissance sur une lointaine planète, car n'ayant aucun don pour le combat.

Table les implore de l'aider à combattre Abo et Kado qui ont détruit sa planète et l'ont suivi jusqu'ici. Chacun des compagnons de Goku sont bien décidés à apporter leur aide autant qu'ils le peuvent. Table mesure alors leur puissance grâce à sa lunette et déclare qu'ils ne sont pas de taille à lutter contre ses adversaires. Goku décide alors de se transformer en super saiyen puis super saiyen niveau 2 créant la stupeur de Table!

Voilà de quoi nous remettre dans l'ambiance et retrouver nos personnages se battre comme nous l'aimons et je dois dire que revoir San Goku, Vegeta et cie me fait chaud au coeur étant un nostalgique de la série. Vivement la sortie !

"What are you doing for Halloween?" Ask a Christian parent this question, and be prepared to hear an answer like, "Nothing! We don't celebrate Halloween." Thunder crashes, and you creep away, embarassed for even asking.

"What are you doing ON Halloween?" Ask the same parent this slightly altered question, and their whole manner and response brightens. "Why," they begin, as birds begin to sing and sunshine breaks through the cumulus clouds. "We're all going to the Harvest Party at church!" A choir sings. A trumpet sounds. You feel privileged just knowing these saints.

Let's take a look at the typical Harvest Party.

• It is a celebration.
• It is chaperoned (usually).
• It may have costumes.
• Games are played.
• Contests are held.
• Food abounds.
• Music blares.
• Everyone enjoys themselves.

Certainly, nothing to get concerned about, right? The problem, however, lies in the billing. The Harvest Party is usually referred to as the Christian alternative to traditional Halloween hijinx. Alternative, however, implies substitute. It assumes our children need something to take the place of Halloween, since they won't be participating in the secular and pagan celebrations. It suggests our kids are missing out on something. And indeed they are, if we allow them to spend Halloween in celebration.

If we are to train our children to be soldiers in the army of Christ, why would we sign a pass for them to go on leave when the battle is escalating on the front lines?

As a child of four, I contacted the first of many spirit guides (read: demons) while playing with a Kindergarten classmates' ouija board at a chaperoned Halloween party. This spiritual assault ignited an intrigue with the supernatural that culminated in my lifestyle as a practicing witch: divination, necromancy, channeling, astrology, psychic ability, and spell working. It wasn't until I was twenty that I met the real Jesus Christ, and was released from the trap that Satan had set for this young prisoner of war sixteen years earlier.

There are too many casualities on Halloween and far too few troops fighing the enemy. Instead of partying on Halloween, teach your children how to fight. Keep them aware that the fight isn't against occultists, non-Christians, Christians who feel differently than we about Halloween, or institutions that promote Halloween, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers or darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12).

How do we teach our children to wrestle spiritually?

• Discourage them from participating in traditional Halloween activities (2 Timothy 2:4). Then tell them why.
• Encourage them to pray on a regular, daily basis (Ephesians 6:18). Let them know first hand the power that we have in prayer. All Christians should know how to fight on their knees.
• Remind them to be alert and self-controlled (1 Corinthians 16:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:6). Give them the discipline of knowing it is their responsibility to keep watch. They, themselves, might also become casualties in the war.
• Make certain they are prepared for battle (Ephesians 6:11). Do they know the truth? Stand on the Word of God? Have faith? Know the gospel? Are they righteous? Are they saved?…

Instead of celebrating, what's a Christian to do on Satan's feast day? PRAY! Intercession and spiritual warfare should be the first item on our agenda. It is NOT a last resort!

• Join with other families in the church. Have the pastor announce a night of spiritual battle. Organize a group of Christians parents and students from your children's school or homeschool group. As a family, designate the seven nights before October 31 as Family Prayer Outreach nights.
• Pray for protection. Pray over both those who engage in prayer warfare and over those who will be out trick-or-treating or at Halloween parties. October 31 is a prime recruiting time for witches and Satanists…and a time for interested kids to experiment. Pray that the Lord keeps our kids from falling prey to those who worship the enemy.
• Pray for discernment. Let the Holy Spirit direct you to specific prayer requests. Pray that the children who are "out there" will somehow "know" to keep away from certain activities. I have relatives who, even though they were not Christians, "knew" that ouija boards and levitation games were dangerous.
• Pray that the Lord hinder the occult rituals. For four years, I lived in a building which over looked a cemetery where occult ceremonial markings were often found. ON certain occult feast days, usually between midnight and 3am, I would look down into the darkness and kneel at my window binding the demons that controlled the ceremonies. I'll never know this side of heaven what effect my prayers had. Maybe a potential sacrifice escaped. Maybe the occultists weren't successful in summoning their demon. Maybe a new, young recruit decided that this was not the lifestyle he thought he wanted.
• Pray for the salvation of the occultists. Jesus Christ died for those whom Satan holds captive and deceived, for those who mock Him, who deny His deity or His existence. He doesn't want them to perish, but to come to Him calling Him Father, Lord. Pray the veil is lifted from their eyes, the Lord allows them to see clearly their spiritual condition and their only hope lies in Jesus Christ. Pray also, about whether the Lord would have you take a more active role in bringing the gospel to Satan's servants.
• Let your children know that this is effective warfare. They must know their prayers are heard and acted on by our Father. Let them know they can make a difference. Come October 31, they'll know they have a job to do.

Not only did God create Evil, but he created "all things" and that includes Satan. God himself (according to the bible) claims to actually do evil and doesn't blame man for such things.

I understand that there are some that will not want to accept that Biblical Scriptures tell us that God created evil and God does evil. The facts are that Scriptures make it clear throughout the Bible that EVERYTHING is of God.

If a child is abused, murdered, tortured:

“Yet ALL is of God” (II Cor.5:18)

If a woman is abused, murdered, tortured:

“God is operating ALL in ALL”(I Cor.12:6)

We have witnessed with God’s own words, if it happens, it is Of God.

Not only does God admit He Created Evil and He Does Evil, he also admits to creating men to do wicked things.

“The Lord has made EVERYTHING for his own ends, even the Wicked for the Evil day” (Proverbs 16:4)

“I (God) created the waster to DESTROY” (Isa. 54:16)

Now we see that if something happens, God had appointed a time for it to happen. Did someone you love die? God appointed a time to die and exactly how we die.....according to scripture.

Notice, if all these scriptures are true, then man has NO free will!

If the Bible tells us that God created All, Operates all in all and we can do “NOTHING” but for the father. Clearly, it is God that abuses, kills/murders and tortures. He watches as it happens and hear the cries for help. Therefore, ANYONE that suffers, God made the Choice to ignore their cries and let it continue.

As is clearly explained in Bible Scripture, God does all, Planned all, appointed a time for all, it is all of HIS will and according to his pleasures, desires and will. NONE of this is of the will of men. If "yet all is of God" and "EVERYTHING is of HIM" and we can "do NOTHING but for the father" and even our "steps are NOT of ourselves" then clearly, Man has NO FREE WILL.

If someone wants to tell me it is out of context, then please tell me how NOT all is of God when the Bible tells us yet ALL is of God and through him and to him and by him.

Additionally, we need to remember this same God drowned most all life in a flood. A slow, torturous flood that killed babies, infants, sucklings and the child still in the womb of the mother (abortion).

This very same Christian God apparently promises to torture BILLIONS with fire, day after day, for an eternity, to include children.

Folks, this is not MORAL...it is pure EVIL.

Good news for those that want to believe in this God is that the bible doesn't say men will be tortured for eternity by literal fire. That is just the Christian promise to force you and their kids into believing. All a part of brainwashing.

The first time I saw this commercial, I'll admit that I laughed a little at the beginning until I saw the purpose of the site.  This makes me absolutely sick.  Adultery is the one sin in Scripture that is considered an acceptable reason for divorce (being left and abandoned is named as well), which makes me hate adultery above any other sin committed in marriage.
