La Hallé, que estuvo por última vez en la región en 1992, tocará casi en las mismas ciudades que entonces: dará dos conciertos en Sao Paulo, a partir del 2 de septiembre, uno en Río, otro en Santiago, dos en Buenos Aires y uno en Montevideo.

Dirigido por Sir Mark Elder y con la pianista rusa Polina Leschenko como acompañante, el prestigioso conjunto británico interpretará en esas ciudades un variado programa que incluirá obras de Richard Strauss, Grieg, Verdi, Wagner, Liszt, Debussy, Shostakovich y Elgar.

Su director ejecutivo, el violonchelista de profesión John Summers, señaló hoy a Efe que a Suramérica viajará la totalidad de la orquesta, integrada por noventa músicos.

Preguntado por el programa elegido para la gira, Summers explicó que el británico Edward Elgar ("Enigma Variations") es uno de los músicos más constantes de su repertorio, algo que ocurre también con el alemán Richard Strauss, del que se interpretará el poema sinfónico "Don Juan".

Se ha incluido también a Shostakovich porque "queríamos que hubiera piezas de gran brillantez", dijo el director ejecutivo en referencia a la primera sinfonía del músico ruso y al concierto para piano número 1 de Listz.

Summers afirmó que la orquesta está "encantada" con la posibilidad de tocar otra vez en Suramérica porque "el público de allí es muy entusiasta" y "las salas de conciertos son muy buenas".

El próximo mes de mayo, la Hallé viajará también a España (Madrid, Valencia y Castellón), donde, como parte de las celebraciones del 200 aniversario del nacimiento de Felix Mendelssohn, interpretará todas las sinfonías del compositor alemán.

La orquesta de Manchester, que ha tenido a su frente a grandes maestros de la batuta como Hans Richter (1899 a 1911) o Sir John Barbirolli (1943 a 1970), siente especial afinidad hacia los compositores británicos como Elgar y su repertorio se centra sobre todo en la música de finales del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX.

La Hallé es acaso la única orquesta de música clásica del mundo que lleva el nombre de su fundador, el alemán Charles Hallé, un músico de talento precoz nacido en Westfalia y que viajó con diecisiete años a París, donde conoció, entre otros, a Chopin, Liszt, Berlioz y Wagner.

A raíz de la revolución de 1848, Hallé se trasladó a la capital británica y tras una breve estancia aquí decidió quedarse en Manchester, ciudad donde había una colonia de expatriados alemanes, algunos de ellos judíos y otros que se habían establecido allí simplemente para hacer negocios.

En 1853, fue nombrado director de los Gentlement's Concerts, de Manchester, y cuatro años más tarde, con motivo de la Exposición de Tesoros Artísticos organizada por esa ciudad, se le encargó dirigir dos conciertos diarios.

El 30 de enero de 1858, con los músicos y el coro que había logrado reunir para el acompañamiento musical de aquella exposición, creó la orquesta Hallé.

En 1891, Charles Hallé contribuyó también a la creación del Royal Manchester College of Music, del que fue director y profesor de piano hasta su muerte en 1895.

In the first chapter of Millennials Rising: The next Great Generation (2000), authors Neil Howe and William Strauss set the stage for their discussion about the Millennial generation (born in or after 1982 according to these authors) and how this new generation is well equipped to be a very influential generation in the 21st century much like the baby boomers were in the 20th century. The authors make this assertion despite the much more popular negative opinion on the people of this generation and they begin their book by citing reasons why the millennials are not destined to be the "tuned out" slacker generation that popular opinion is expecting them to be.

The authors say that the millennials are a generation of do-ers, and not just a generation of talkers. According to the authors, the millennials are much more action oriented and tend to focus more on local community action where an immediate change is apparent rather than having discussions about abstract problems. It is this attitude that sets up the millenial generation as the next great generation who will be instrumental in shaping the 21st century.

The authors also downplay much of the negative popular image of the millenials which portrays them as a disenchanted group of people who have no real goals and who are not interested in any work that does not produce a personal benefit. According to the authors, "youth culture" as it is portrayed in the media is "entirely a creation of non-youth, mostly GenX-ers and Boomers" (p. 20). Thus, the youth culture that we are seeing on television and reading about on the internet is actually a portrayal of residual trends that are leftovers of the youth cultures of Generation X and the baby boomers. In addition, the authors cite two possible reasons why this portrayal of youth culture has caught on. First, because older cultures inherently reject a new younger generations culture as being "bad" simply because the younger generation does not share in the collective memory of the older one and therefore represents a sort of mortality; a reminder that the older culture's ideas will eventually die out (p. 24). And secondly, because of the popular assumption that history moves in straight lines (p. 27). That is to say, the assumption is that the millennials will simply continue the trends that were set by the baby boomers and Generation X. According to the authors, the millennials are forming a totally different set of trends and forging a new, positive youth culture despite the negative media.

The next chapter will explore the childhood backgrounds of the millennials and make connections between their upbringing and their can-do attitude.

Kennt ihr schon den kürzesten Nazi-Witz der Welt?

Ein Nazi geht in die Uni,... (Das war schon der Witz!)

Zugegeben, der war flach. Ausserdem abgekupfert, das war ursprünglich ein Manta-Witz. Aber der Opel-Manta ist beinahe ausgestorben. Gleiches ist wünschenswert für die nationalsozialistische Idiologie.
Ich fordere daher für alle sexuell aktiven Nazis (falls es sowas gibt) Zwangsverhütung bis ins Alter! Bis ins hohe Alter!

Bei meinen Lesern möchte ich mich nochmals für diesen platten Nazi-Joke entschuldigen, leider könnt ihr hier nichts hochintellektuelles (uff...schweres Wort) erwarten, schliesslich hat der liebe Organisator meinen IQ mit nur 63 ferndiagnostiziert!

Mal im Ernst Herr Organisator, ist es nicht erbärmlich bei einer mißliebigen Meinung, die Person welche diese vertritt, zu diffamieren? Ich könnte ja auf gleichem Niveau erwidern, indem ich schreibe:
"Um die Textinhalte bei PFS zu erfassen, genügt ein IQ von 20. (21 braucht ein Affe, um eine Banane zu schälen). Vielleicht ist das ja eure Zielgruppe."
mach ich aber nicht.

Mit dem Beleidigen hat es bei Euch aber nicht so wirklich hingehauen:

Schon die Überschrift ist der erste Schuß ins eigene Knie. Primat bezeichnet u.a. die Vorrangstellung des Papstes in der römisch-katholischen Kirche, also die höchste Rechtsgewalt in der Kirche (Jurisdiktionsprimat) die jene Person für sich beansprucht, die Ihr in Eurem Weblog mehrfach beweihräuchert habt. Hey Leute, Ihr braucht Eure sexuelle Enthaltsamkeit nicht mit gefälschter Frömmigkeit zu kaschieren, über Orgasmusprobleme kann man heutzutage offen reden, dafür haben die lieben 68'er gesorgt ;-)

Des weiteren sind Primaten die Ordnung der höheren Säugetiere, die auch den Menschen einschließt. Seht Ihr, bei mir könnt Ihr noch was lernen :-)

Lassen wir das. Kommen wir nun zum ernsteren Teil:

verharmlost der Organisator rechte Gewalt. Also, wenn Neonazis Menschen mit anderer Meinung oder Herkunft niederprügeln und töten "gehört sich das nicht" klingt als hätte jemand gegen Benimmregeln bei Tisch verstoßen. Bei Menschen mit sogen. Migrationshintergrund hört sich das dann so an:

Dieser Tage beginnt in München der Prozess gegen die U-Bahn-Schläger, die den Rentner Bruno N. beinahe totgetreten hätten. Während sich einer der beiden Ausländer bereits den dritten Anwalt leistet, wünscht sich das PFS die Wiedereinführung der Todesstrafe nur nicht, weil es von besonders herzensguten Menschen betrieben wird.

Eindeutiger kann man nicht mit zweierlei Maß messen, oder? Während rechte Gewalttäter mit einem "Du du du, das macht man aber nicht" davonkommen sollen, hält Euch nur Eure "Herzensgüte" davon ab, für ausländische Gewaltverbrecher, die Todesstrafe zu fordern. Dass Herzensgüte derart selektiv sein kann, ist neu für mich.

Zur Klarstellung: Auch ich verabscheue die Gewalttaten der beiden U-Bahn-Schläger. Doch ich betrachte sie als Untaten zweier Individuen und konstruiere daraus keinen Zusammenhang zu ihrer Nationalität, Religionszugehörigkeit oder Ethnizität. Wer ein ganzes Volk pauschal als kollektiv gewalttätig darstellt, sollte sich daran erinnern, welches Volk bereits 2 Weltkriege mit zahllosen Toten entfesselt hat. :evil:

Die Distanzierung von den Nationalsozialisten wirkt bei PFS nicht sehr überzeugend:

Als politisch und nicht aktionistisch denkender Rechter (und nicht Neonazi, denn der Neonazi will im Gegensatz zum Rechten einen sozialistischen Staat aufbauen, daher auch das Wort Nationalsozialist. (...)

Mit dieser Konsequenz dürftet Ihr Euch aber keinesfalls als NPD-Anhänger präsentieren. Wie nah die NPD der nationalsozialistischen Idiologie ist, beweist der NPD-Chef Udo Voigt regelmässig, wenn er öffentl. als Holocaust-Leugner oder -Verharmloser auftritt. Vor wenigen Wochen ereignete sich in Passau folgendes:

In Passau indes hat die NPD erst vor wenigen Wochen bundesweit für Aufsehen gesorgt - mit dem Begräbnis von Friedhelm Busse, einem altgedienten Aktivisten der militanten Neonazi-Szene. Der bekannte Extremist Thomas Wulff legte die unter dem NS-Regime gebräuchlich Variante der Reichskriegsflagge auf den Sarg. Udo Voigt und andere NPD-Größen standen daneben und sahen zu. Später ließ die Staatsanwaltschaft das Grab nochmals öffnen, um die verbotene Hakenkreuzfahne sicherzustellen. Hier nachzulesen

Das ist nur ein Beispiel von vielen. Weiterhin schreibt der "Politexperte Organisator" (fettgedrucktes ist von mir hervorgehoben):

Auf der anderen Seite dieser Personengruppe, die wahllos auf alles andere einschlägt, steht eine Einheitsfront von politisch korrekten Blockwarten, Meinungsmachern und jeder Menge selbsternannter “Rechtsextremismus-Experten” (zu denen sich offensichtlich auch “Tom” zählt), die jedoch selbst bei dreifachem genauen Hinsehen nicht einmal die Unterschiede zwischen Konservatismus, Rechtspopulismus, Freiheitlichkeit, Rechtsradikalismus, Rechtsextremismus und Neonazismus erklären können - was aber etwas ist, was zum Grundrepertoire eines jeden “Experten” zu diesem Themenfeld gehören sollte.

Nun, für den Begriff "Freiheit" oder "Freiheitlichkeit" (hä?) reklamieren schon sogen. Liberale die Deutungshoheit. Ansonsten herzlichen Dank für die "Aufklärung" :-)
Verzeiht mir meine "Intoleranz", wenn ich alles was sich rechts von der CSU befindet, radikal ablehne. Ich mache es äusserst ungern, aber ich muss zugeben, dass ich Franz Josef Strauss zustimme:

Rechts von der CSU darf es nie wieder eine demokratisch legitimierte Partei geben. Dort ist eine Wand!

Vor eben jene Wand ist die NPD kürzlich wieder gelaufen, als eine vollmundig angekündigte Wahlkampfveranstaltung in Niederbayern zum kleingärtnermässigen Grillabend floppte. Schön zu sehen, dass die NPD'ler selbst im erzkonservativen Bayern kein Bein auf die Erde kriegen. RECHT SO! Das nächste bayrische "Großevent" der NPD ist übrigens in Eggenfelden, dem Heimatort des ehem. DSDS-Kandidaten und "Gurkenlaster-Killers" Daniel Küblböck geplant. Gerüchte konnten allerdings nicht bestätigt werden, die besagten, dass der "Superstar" für einen Auftritt zur Verfügung steht :mrgreen:

Sein Elaborat schließt der Organisator mit abstrusen Verschwörungstheorien ab:

(...)Es geht nicht um die NPD, die ja bekanntlich von einer Masse von V-Männern infiltriert ist, welche nicht nur als Informanten tätig sind, sondern - man höre und staune! - auch als sogenannte “Agents provocateurs” auftreten.(...)

Am Ende stellt sich möglicherweise noch heraus, dass sogar Udo Voigt und Udo Pastörs V-Männer sind, ... :mrgreen: Fakt ist aber, dass "die Kameradschaften" die Parteistruktur der NPD mit aufgebaut haben.
Ein schwaches Licht am Ende des Tunnels gibt es in Form von leicht angedeuteter Selbsteinsicht:

Nun mag man anführen, dass dies alles ein wenig nach Verschwörungstheorie klingt,...

Nicht nur "ein wenig". Euer ganzer Blog ist, eine mit Hass-Agitation vollgestopfte Verschwörungstheorie, meine ich! Der neutrale Leser mag sich selbst ein Urteil bilden...

Har læst de første cirka 350 sider af "The Rest Is Noise". Er nået til 50er-avantgarden -- og er lige blevet færdig med Anden Verdenskrig. Kapitlet sluttede med Richard Strauss' død.

Loven - eller lovene - fortæller os, hvad vi må og ikke må -- men det er ganske afgjort hverken lovenes eller, altså, juristernes opgave at (forsøge at) gøre os GODE eller MORALSKE.

Og det samme, tænker jeg, kan man sige om kunsten. Man bliver ikke mere åndeligt renskuret af at beskæftige sig med kunst -- og man behøver ikke at være det, GOD, for at være kunstner. Og det er noget pladderhumanistisk fis at (forsøge at) måle et givent kunstværks kunstneriske værdi med DET MORALSKE APPARAT. Man kan måle og dømme mennesker, også kunstnere, sådan. Men ikke kunst.

Ross' kapitler om Stalin-tidens sovjet-komponister og om Hitler-tidens tyske er både betagende og tankevækkende. Ross fokuserer en hel del på Strauss, som i høj grad indordnede sig under nazi-regimet -- men også på bl.a. Hindemith, som i bogen fremstår som en opportunist, og på Webern, som var en udtalt tilhænger af nazimen (og hyldede okkupationen af Danmark som en sejr for det nye Tyskland). Og Wagner. Selvfølgelig. Det vil sige Wagner-klanen i Bayreuth.
