Take this quote from Summer Glau regarding her character, Cameron, and Cameron's feelings for John Connor: "The scene that Josh [Friedman, SCC creator] wrote for me to audition with is a scene where Cameron talks about John and about the future when she first meets him. It’s the most beautiful scene and I actually cry in the scene. I talk about how John rescued me and how I feel about John even though Cameron doesn’t ‘feel.’ It’s amazing, it’s very complicated but she does love him in her own way and admires him and worships him. He is her reason for being and so I think it already is a romance in some way."

This sounds kind of like what we saw in the Allison flashbacks from "Allison From Palmdale," but not exactly. If it was cut, I hope it's on the DVD extras, or better yet -- that it's an entirely different scene that we get to see somewhere down the line.

Anyway, the little I allow myself to really think about this -- and the possibility for examination is ginormous -- the more I think that John ripped Cameron's chip out in "Samson and Delilah" more because he was freaked out by Cameron's declaration of love and the implications of such than he was of any danger to himself. There's been a fair amount of hinting that in the future, John and Cameron are extremely close; that she's the only one with whom he allows himself to be even remotely vulnerable.

And the more I consider Cameron's contradictory behavior since the explosion, the more I really do think that, more than any reprogramming Future John might've done, she is choosing to override her original programming -- the explosion shook everything loose and she confused her "missions," if you will.

Which is why I loved Battlestar Galactica, and the relationship between Sharon and Helo. Again, you have a machine with the sole mission of the infiltration and destruction of a sworn (human) enemy exert her free will and choose to go against that mission, ultimately falling in love with one of the enemy.

Both Cameron and Sharon go against their very nature for love.

That's cool.

(And I really, really hope FOX sticks with SCC. According to Michael Ausiello -- formerly of TV Guide, now with EW --They've ordered two more episodes, which isn't the back nine, but still provides a glimmer of hope that we'll at least get closure on this season (and series) if it doesn't work out in the end.)

Oh, and this isn't a sophomore show, but my first cut of the fall season might be Brothers and Sisters. I'm only halfway through the first episode and I might be done with it. First of all, I cannot enjoy any scenes of Justin and Rebecca making out. I can't believe the show really decided to go ahead with this story. It just seems like a terrible and desperate idea. Maybe I could tolerate this relationship if the other story-lines were more entertaining. They are not. They're going to spend time looking for a Walker half-sibling again? In half an episode, every character and every story-line seemed to be going in the wrong direction. It's like the writers used up all their good ideas in the first two seasons. I probably have time for only half the shows I'm currently recording, so unless I hear something good about the show soon, this temporary cut will soon be permanent.

I feel marginally accomplished this week, though, because I DID sort through the nightmare paperwork cubby. I sorted a small portion of our books (keeping vs. donating) and did a small mountain's worth of laundry.

How do we accumulate so much CRAP? And really, we don't have that much crap. It's mostly clothes and books. And albums. We're moving to a house that is nearly twice the size and my goal is to reduce our crap by half. It's enough to make me think happy thoughts about UNpacking because there's going to be much less of it.

Also! Life *and* The Mentalist are on tonight and my mom is on her way.

There are very few twitterers tweeting on my list.
