Mistress has asked that i edge every morning and, as i didn't see her this past weekend, it'll be two weeks of edging before i see her again. for those of you who don't know, that's a fair amount. especially when one is told to simulate sex by humping ones bed. rather diabolical of Mistress.

does it get old, boring, mundane, having to edge every morning? no, can't say that it does. because really, the mind tends to wander, fantasize. in many different directions, ways.

my hands behind me, i picture Mistress having just cuffed my wrists and elbows. i won't be going anywhere soon. at times, i bite down on my pillow. Mistress prefers me gagged . . .

i get hard rather quick as i picture Mistress watching me hump the bed in a futile attempt to pleasure myself. but it's to no avail. though i'm rock hard, no relief is offered. does that excite me further? a strong possibility . . .

i struggle, thrash about. my cock and balls are mercilessly harnessed and anchored, making the pleasure that much more elusive. or so i think. because in the here and now, i've reached that edge. any more fantasizing might get me in trouble . . .

fantasy or reality? which is it that i find more exciting. in the end, not a difficult question or answer. probably not really a 'question' at all. but those fantasies. they can be downright dangerous . . .

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=aee_1223276547

At the beginning of August, around the time I went to the James Taylor concert, we went to a party of one of David's co-workers. The party was beautiful. The man's wife I had met before at other social gatherings. A wonderful couple. He's from Macao, and she is American. They are quite an unusual mix. What a beautiful beautiful family. Their daughter works as a reporter for Cosmopolitan magazine. She's on their online site. She wasn't at this party, but our friend was beaming with pride when telling us all about her latest achievements.

We were however introduced to this man's son. A beautiful young man. I mean, you could see the total gorgeous man he would become. Green eyes, and a total combination of both of his parents. Tall with a lanky not yet filled in frame. A face that was still that of a pretty boy, yet to reach his full maturity. He was soft spoken and polite, and he talked about making his business in real estate. He was studying in San Diego, but was thinking about coming home for a while to get more serious so that he could get his education finished. Like I said, he was a very cute young boy. I liked him.

Today David came home with unthinkable news. The news no one ever wants to hear. This young boy was stabbed to death on Friday night along with his friends. You can see the story here:

http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20081004-1144-bn04stab.html

Its times like these where I want to scream! I want to cry! I want to kick, and I want to yell at God. What could the reason be for such a thing to happen? This boy, his family are good people! They are good to all of those they know! They are generous and hard working. They give to their community, their family and their friends. What is the lesson in this? Why him? Why this child? 22! He never got the chance to grow up!

Tears well up in my soul. What madness we have in our world. What cruelty done to each other. How ever can we all survive this?

For all of you who believe in God, please pray for this boy's family. For those who don't, please just keep them in your thoughts.

My heart is broken. It feels like my world is standing still at this moment. I just want to cry. Cry for this boy, cry for his family, and cry for humanity and what we are becoming.

If you read this blog, and you live in the San Diego area and you know ANYTHING about this murder, please come forward. These parents will never rest until their son's killer is found and justice is served.

Today I read a story (here), about a new technology called "MyKey" coming out in the new 210 ford Focus coupe, and is part of their new "Driving Skills for Life" program.

The key lets parents set limits to things like how fast the car can go (e.g. restricting it to 75 mph), even down to limits on the volume of the stereo.

I imagine that with how inexpensive technology is becoming, and with the increased instances of on-board GPS systems, the time is not far distant when parents will even be able to set distance parameters, restricting vehicles from traveling farther than a certain number of miles from your home, or other restrictions.

The gospel teaches us that we should "teach them correct principles and let them govern themselves", but should there moderation in this, as in all things? What are the acceptable limits to how much "intervention" a parent should enforce upon their children (regardless of how good the intent)?

Rather than posting my opinions now, I'd like to ask your thoughts, and explore the discussion together.

There they are, making false accusations and the process is getting downright dirty.

It appears if the prize is big enough, anything that people can dream up to "win" is acceptable. A fine example for children isn't it?

These people are competing to act as legislators and leaders for their brothers and sisters, fellow human beings.

It gets dirtier the higher you go up the ladder.

These people are competing for the job of "President".

Integrity is the first thing a person must lose to compete.

Honesty is the thing of the past.

Truth does not exist.

Ego pervades.

Who determined these qualifications were desired to be "Commander in Chief"?

I still have doubts if ever this concert would push through given that originally, this was supposed to be slated this October 28 and having only Chris Brown as the main act. Hmmm If ever this event would a GO, I think this would only run for about an hour having only a few songs from both artists such as "Umbrella", "S.O.S", "Wall to Wall", "Kiss Kiss" and maybe "Disturbia" and "Forever". I hope I could get a good price for a good seat. I love Chris Brown but Rihanna, not so much though it would be a plus too. I wonder what happened to the pre-selling of tickets from the origanl CB concert and I heard someone even bought 5 tickets for Php8K each. Whoah.

I just hope that this concert is a GO already. But I am still skeptical unless ticket prices are already up and the venue is already final. Will keep you posted =)

Back to the joys of prancing around in the early mornings with the cool misty feeling in your face with friends just relaxing. Surreal it is to find that it was only yesterday that we braved a math paper and here we are, now, carefree. (at least for the moment)

I didn’t know the pictures were going to be so small on the preceding post, so I’m going to post another one of the young people by themselves. I can well remember being 20, and it’s truly mind boggling to think about the changes that have come about since then…and I’m not referring to the physical ones but rather to the social/emotional ones. When I was Sarah Beth’s age, I had both parents, three grandparents, three siblings, cool friends, and a boyfriend. Today, my parents and grandparents have gone on to a more heavenly habitation, and my cool friends and boyfriend of that era are busily living their lives elsewhere. But get this: Most of the people I now love dearly were not in my life then. In fact, most of them were not even in existence, at least not on this earthly plane. To sum it up, nearly everyone I loved then is gone, and almost everyone I love now wasn’t even thought of yet, including these three college students. Makes me wonder who else is out there…not only for yours truly but also for these three 20-somethings who are just beginning adulthood.

I was listening to coverage of McCain’s and Palin’s public appearances today - the beg

I was listening to coverage of McCain's and Palin's public appearances today - the beginning of their full-court press to swift-boat Barack Obama since they can't win on policy and vision alone - and I noticed something kind of weird. Now I admit I may have been imagining it, but I could swear there were many more boos and angry noises today than I remember hearing in the past. In fact, at times it almost sounded like an angry mob.

But what struck me most was the boos and grumbling noises sounded a lot like the hub-bub hub-bub, rhubarb rhubarb technique used by movie directors to simulate angry mobs. Extras are told not just to boo, but to make these other noises to help add depth and a feeling of passion to the scene when you don't have enough extras to create the effect you want. And although I can't prove it, it sure sounded like there was added crowd noise theatrics whenever McCain or Palin made a statement attacking Obama today. In fact, at one point I laughed out loud because I could almost hear the roar of planted extras!

Now I'm not saying there aren't real people in the crowd who agree with McCain and Palin and are honestly joining in, but listen carefully and tell me if you hear what I heard.

And by the way...if all the noises ARE legit, that's even scarier. There is nothing in the least attractive to me about candidates who try to whip their supporters into an angry mob. What are you creating with this, John? What does it do for our country? We need inspiration and sound ideas, John, not just angry sounds.

Suddenly I'm inspired to quote Shakespeare's Macbeth who, while talking about life, seems to also have been channeling this moment in time:

...a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

Well, maybe it does signify something...the smell of desperation.

In reverse, a list of those people I admire, think are cool, or have influenced my life in a positive way:

10. MAX CLIFFORD

An evil puppetmaster who has the entire UK press in his grasp. He can make or break celebs in the UK with ease and is responsible for many of the biggest stories to be uncovered in the UK for decades. I very much admire anyone who can have such control over the media, especially considering the humble roots that he came from.

Here he is being interviewed by another of my heroes (but not quite enough of one to make my Top Ten), Louis Theroux:

Only reaches #10 on my list as his autobiography went on a bit too much about how much of his time he devotes to charity but doesn't like to speak about it too much, while avoiding the most interesting gossip that I hoped to get from it.

9. RICHARD BRANSON

No introduction really necessary for him. As a serial entrepreneur myself, Branson has to be my role-model. he has been spectacularly successful, however, whereas I have been spectacularly unsuccessful. Bastard. Reading biographies about him, a lot of his success was down to luck (and a friend of a friend of a relative of his told me that he got his seed capital from being the biggest dopedealer in his school). But, generally speaking, he is one very, very clever guy (well actually he is just a clever guy who hires even more clever guys than he is in the important things in business like looking after the money, which is the bit I always screwed up on).

Here he explains part of the secret of his success:

Would have made it higher up the list if it were not for his terrible dress sense and the tackiness of some of his PR stunts.

8. ALBERT FINNEY

In 1960, with the release of Saturday Night, Sunday Morning, Albert Finney was Britain's answer to James Dean - a handsome true working class hero n this gritty classic from the days when Britain still had a film industry. So fucking cool.

Here is the trailer:

If he had been killed tragically shortly after as did James Dean, then he would have become a true British icon. Unfortunately though he lived and became fat and ugly and made some very average movies afterwards and so he can only get to #8 on the list.

7. CHRISTOPHER PRICE

Christopher Price was the host of a showbiz gossip show called Liquid News that ran on the satellite channel BBC Choice. I've never been terribly interested in showbiz gossip, but the very camp, roly-poly Price had such a sharp wit that it made for compulsive viewing. His natural and irreverant style reminded me of another of my TV heroes, Ray Cokes, who presented MTV Europe's 'Most Wanted' during the Nineties.

I was sure that he was destined for greater things (well, that was a fact, as he was due to fulfill the gay dream of covering the Eurovision Song Contest) when he died from some infection at the age of 35. I don't know why, but this upset me quite a lot at the time.

Here are a few clips of him (but not any of the best bits that I can remember from him):

6. TONY COLMAN

In the past few years, I've really gotten into drum and bass - particularly 'liquid funk' or 'fast soul music'. In this sub-genre, there is one label that stands head and shoulders above the others, and that's Hospital Records, founded by Tony Colman. I can't think of any other label that has a roster of acts without there being a single duff one.

But Tony Colman is more than just a record label owner, he is also a talented song-writer, producer and musician, recording as London Elektricity - one of the very few drum and bass acts that can actually play live.

In this clip, he explains how it's done:

I think he is as old as I am too, which makes me feel less like a weirdo.

5. CHARLIE BROOKER

I've aways been a fan of The Guardian - not for the news, which I can get on TV with moving pictures - but for its G2 section. I particularly loved the writing of its TV critic, Charlie Brooker, who has such a cruel wit to him that I'm amazed that they are allowed to print it.

I particularly enjoyed his Screenwipe series on BBC4 which had me laughing out loud from start to finish. I only managed to catch two episodes and must try and find the rest of them.

Here's his take on US TV:

4. THOMAS HEDMAN

This name won't mean much to most people as he is no celebrity. He was my boss when I was marketing videos for a living. He took a big gamble on me - a scruffy young kid with no qualifications at all, let alone any in marketing, whose only prior experience had been as a glorified secretary. I rewarded him by working 12 hours a day, seven days a week for the best part of half a decade. He helped me by giving me practically carte blanche to do whatever I wanted with as much of the company money as I needed. And I made sure that his investment was recovered manifold. This freedom allowed me to learn the ropes of running a business - what was and wasn't possible. If it wasn't for him, I'd probably just ended up as some worker-drone for some giant corporation rather than having enjoyed the up and downs and madness of being self-employed ever since (apart from a brief stint working for one different boss who turned out to be a complete tosser).

[caption id="attachment_200" align="aligncenter" width="222" caption="Thomas Headman"][/caption]

He left the company not long after I did. The magic had gone for both of us. Since then he has been a film producer of some medium-budget movies.

3. BENJAMIN DISRAELI

I've always been interested in history, although not particularly the Victorian Era, even though it was when Britain was at the height of its powers. Benjamin Disraeli always seemed like a really cool character though - or at least the way our usually dull history teacher described him. He seemed like a young 'Glam Rock' kind of Prime Minister. He was a prolific writer of fiction as well, having the great quote "whenever I want to read a good book, I write one", which I can definitely agree with. Under his leadership Great Britain truly was great.

I can't remember much else about him, other than that I named my first dog Ben after him when i was 16 - so I must have been really impressed with him back then. I could read up some more about him on Wikipedia but I can't be arsed.

Here's a picture of him in his 'young dandy' phase:

[caption id="attachment_201" align="aligncenter" width="283" caption="Benjamin Disraeli"][/caption]

2. LENNY BRUCE

Someone else that I should know more about considering that he's one of my top three heroes according to this is Lenny Bruce. All that I know about him, I learned from the 1974 movie, Lenny, starring Dustin Hoffman. And I don't think I even saw the whole film either.

He seems to me to be the father of modern alternative comedy though - offensive and shocking to some people; absolutely hilarious to others. It seems amazing in this day and age that he could be convicted of obscenity just or the word 'cocksucker'.

Like all the best heroes, he died young at 40.

Here's a short documentary about him:

I find that comedy tends not to date very well. It doesn't sound very funny today, but it's the influence he had on future comedians that makes him such a hero.

1. JOHN PEEL

But head and shoulders above all other heroes has to be John Peel. For UK readers, he needs no introduction but, for readers fron anywhere else, John Peel is the grandfather of alternative music in the UK. He started off in the late-sixties heavily into the hippy scene and then his musical tastes developed over time - always ahead of the curve.

He was ahead of my curve as well. When listening to his show, I often thought a lot of the stuff he was playing was horrendous shit. Then six months later, I thought they were the best things ever. He was an institution on UK's Radio One, lasting for a couple of decades, I believe, while other favour of the month DJ's only lasted for a few years or so before drifting off into obscurity. Which was completely justified.

John Peel has made me feel comfortable in the fact that it can be possible to be seen to enjoy music designed for a much younger audience without feeling like some embarrassing old weirdo just trying to 'be down with the kids'. Some of my friends in Riga used to call me 'Peely' and that was as great a compliment as I could ever hope to achieve.

Like most of the other heroes, he died too soon, an event that again upset me greatly, but assures him a place in immortality, even though I am sure that he would still be considered a legend even if he lived until he was 80.

Here is one of many tributes to him:

The lady I live with and I don't like Starbucks coffee. It tastes burnt.

Also we have objected for years about them giving double cups away for every coffee they sell; ridiculous.

I have seen them running their faucets, but had no idea this went on all day.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7654691.stm

Another indication of stupid thinking.

We can't afford to waste no water.

Boycott their products, write to the company, complain to the counter people.

It it time that everybody be mindful of the selfish way we been doing things on this planet, and alter the behaviour.

Change always starts here!

We can't wait for somebody who says they going to give to us.

Folks wrote to me - nothing we can do about the Sea of Galilee, LuRain -

I reply,

you can start now in your own home town,

in your yard, bathroom, kitchen, work site, and business.

Unless you've been thirsty, you never know what it like to miss a drink.

Look back at the Great Dustbowl in the 30's, can't grow nothing if you don't have water.

It already getting late.

The animals are extincting themselves out of here, they can see the writing on the wall.

Be Aware.

Care.

Share.

Only way we going to get through this.

So Tat and I will FINALLY be getting some stuff done this Saturday. And I'm really quite thankful that he's still keen on collaborating although I've been playing the MIA game for months by now. Hopefully, something pop-rockish. (He's saying "Think Katy Perry") I'm actually rather excited.

In other news, I've gotten Salsa cutie's number and amidst all the congratulatory comments from friends, I'm suddenly like, er...now what smart ass?! I've decided that I'm a wimp and will probably let the number stay on my phone while I stare wistfully at it. =((( Oh well, at least I've got new dresses to keep me happy! I swear, Lala is such a bad influence! But now that I'm getting pretty good with this online shopping thingamajig, I think I'm an equally bad influence to her as well.

I thought I would get more pictures, but there were few places to pull off on the little two-lane road that the GPS gave us for a route between Oxford and Dayton. It was a very pretty drive on a very pretty day, and I found a few things to shoot.

We'd dropped Jenni off at her dorm, saying she had studying and practicing to do. it left us with several hours to kill before we needed to be on a plane in Dayton. So, we started back off on the winding roads we'd driven Friday night, unable to see anything. For the drive back, it was a clear, crisp, sunny, perfect autumn day.

Would you like to buy a house? This one is for sale just north of Oxford. I think it's a bit of a fixer-upper. Part of the roof looks fairly new, but there is that portion in the back that looks like it needs some work. But, it's status as an "investment" property, it gave me license to stop, tromp around a bit, and shoot some pictures.

There were sheets hanging in some of the windows. Others were bare. The grass needs very badly to be brush-hogged.

But there are outbuildings ...

The deal is ... the barn is kinda falling down, but it looks as if it was painted at least in the past couple of years. Now, there are slats missing from the front, shingles missing from the roof, the overhang is collapsing, I'm not sure how much value it adds to the property. But as a model, it's really cool. There's a shot on Flickr of the barn rendered in monochrome. As always, it takes on an entirely different character in black and white.

One other observation about traveling through rural western Ohio for a couple of days.

I saw lots of McCain/Palin signs out on farms and in small towns. Hardly any Obama/Biden signs. Now, an unscientific survey of yard signs is no indication of the mood of the country. I can only report what I saw. On the Miami of Ohio campus, there were volunteers from both camps handing out stickers going into the football game, and Jenni's boyfriend was lamenting that he was not going to be able to take advantage of free tickets to see Karl Rove speak on campus. Apparently they were snapped up in 17 minutes, and a friend had a connection who offered him some ducats. But he has a previous commitment and can't go to the lecture.

I'm glad Jen is taking advantage of some of those opportunities. They went to a lecture given by Thomas Friedman, and said "We WILL go see Garrison Keillor when he's on campus" next month. I loved hearing her talk about listening to Diane Rehm and Prairie Home. I need to drop a note to Cleve Callison and thank him for good programming.

Oh look, a chicken. I got a bit sidetracked. I'm sure pollsters concentrate on urban areas. When Obama was behind in the polls, for about 20 minutes last month, the left was justifying it by saying nobody polls cell phones, and all Obama's voters are young and many don't have landlines. But I wonder if the pollsters called numbers that were in rural areas, even among a split (unweighted) sample between Republicans and Democrats what they would find.

It was Mark Twain who said "There are lies, damned lies, and statistics".

28 days to go.

With our upcoming visit to Kentucky this week, I felt the need to talk about my family for a minute. I will say that I've always enjoyed being an only girl with 3 brothers. My parents tell me that I rode along with them to find out the sex of Alex and Andy. Certain that one of the two would be a girl, I cried the entire way home from Louisville, heartbroken that I wouldn't have a sister. Don't worry, I love those boys more than anything and I wouldn't have changed it for anything. Besides, my parents often say that I was more difficult than all my brothers combined (sorry about that...) so I'm sure they wouldn't have wanted another me.

Gabe is my oldest brother.

He and I are 3 years apart so we were really close growing up. He was nice enough to let me tag along with him a lot, looking back I can't imagine why! When I was in college, he went off to boot camp and then, you guessed it, went to Iraq. I remember being absolutely terrified, worried sick after watching everything on TV. I learned the most from that situation than ever. That period of my life opened my eyes to discover what having faith in God can do for you. I learned that I wasn't in control after all. In fact, Gabe wasn't even in control and neither was his commander. I couldn't keep him safe any more than he could keep roadside bombs off the road. At that point I realized that it was best to "give it to God" and trust that he will protect him and spend more of my time and energy praying instead of worrying. It's that quote that I love,

"Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it get you no where."

The entire year I was engaged and planning my wedding, Gabe was on his second bout in Iraq. He was only supposed to be there 9 months, but when they announced the "surge" we learned that he was going to stay a bit longer...3 months longer! We desperately tried to plan the wedding date to where he could make (we would have definitely gotten married sooner) but a November wedding turned out to be perfect.

[caption id="attachment_22" align="alignright" width="300" caption="In Iraq"][/caption]

I cried numerous times over that year. I just couldn't imagine him not being there on my wedding day, part of me would have felt incomplete. I rationalized that it would be best for me to prepare for the worst, that he wouldn't make it. This way, I could start dealing with the emotions now instead of being hopeful and then shockingly dissapointed when he didn't make it. And if you know the military, you know that their "word" means absolutely nothing. Gabe was told several different dates that he would get home. After a while, I remember telling mom and dad that I didn't want to hear anything about when he was getting here until his plane ticket was bought. At that point, I would know.

The timing of his arrival was so perfect, I knew it had something to do with all the prayers. He arrived during our rehearsal dinner. I remember anxiously waiting and looking out the window. We've been there before, when you're family member gets home from war and it's always emotional. But it's another experience when they get home from war during

family wedding festivities.

When people ask me, were you stressed out on your wedding day? Nervous? I can honestly tell you that I was nothing but elated. Not stressed, not worried. Nothing went wrong and if it did, I wouldn't have cared anyway. I was in nothing but a state of BLISS.

Gabe is out of the military now and I have to say that I breathe a sigh of relief when I think about it. I am SOO thankful that we don't have to endure the fear and pain of that experience again. I hated not having him around to see or talk to whenever I wanted. And I hated that he was in such rough conditions, forced to miss all the special events and the unfortunate funerals of family and friends. I'm so glad he's home for good! I know it's not easy living overseas for the past 3 or 4 years and coming back hom and I'm sure it's gonna take some more gettin' used to. We may be his family, but his family was his brothers in service, too, and I'm sure he misses them as well.

I was sent today a joke from the county party publicity director, Bob VanVelkinburgh. It concerned Sarah Palin and her sudden rise to fame. This is what it said:

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year old Texas rancher whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Sarah Palin and her bid to be a heartbeat away from being President.
The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Palin is a post turtle.'
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a post turtle was.

The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle.'
The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain. 'You know she didn't get up there by herself, she doesn't belong up there, she doesn't know what to do while she is up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumbass put her up there to begin with.

This joke is quite funny and quite true. But it got me thinking about Sarah Palin. You know, the vibe I get from her is not one that she knows what the American people are really all about. She seems more like the chatty lady at church on whom you can rely for the latest town gossip. I feel like she thinks she's better than me because she's from a small town and enjoys watching her children play hockey. I feel like she thinks that Joe Sixpack and Hilda Homemaker are only worthy of her support if they are from a similar situation. If you were raised in a town with more than 50 000 inhabitants, you're not good enough. Just some thoughts...
