Tommy, drummer of A Day Away and Springfield's famous drumming group The Cadence, was hit by a car…yes I said hit by a car. He's hurt really bad and needs support from the music community to help him get by. 

Fellow musicians to the rescue. A bunch of big names in the Springfield music scene are working together to put on a benefit show to help raise money so Tommy can pay some bills while he's laid up.

For those of you who didn't hear, Tommy (our little drummer buddy) was struck by a car and injured last week while on a trip to LA. He suffered abroken leg and a concussion as well as numerous cuts and bruise.

Tommy's back home now, but he's gonna be laid up for awhile...so we're throwing a benefit show to raise money so T-Dizzle can pay his bills! Here's the info!!

E voi direte, ma cosa c'entrano le fragole, decisamente fuori stagione, con le zucche, le foglie rosse e gli scenari autunnali?

Ma semplicemente per il fatto che ho terminato un altro UFO, che avevo inserito nell'ambito dell'UFO Project, si tratta di "My Lady Strawberries" di LHN:

sono davvero felice, perchè mano a mano il cassetto si sta svuotando di tutti quei progetti iniziati ed abbandonati, chissà per quale motivo, forse perchè presa dall'entusiasmo di iniziare nuovi ricami, a questo proposito voglio ringraziare Dolci Fusa per questa bellissima e utile iniziativa!

Così senza perdere tempo inserisco subito un nuovo UFO, Willow Tree Inn - LHN, ecco dove sono rimasta:

spero di poterci lavorare abbastanza costantemente, ma non ne sono certa, infatti in questo periodo sono piuttosto satura, sto terminando gli ornamenti per la festa di Halloween, poi dovrò passare agli ornamenti natalizi per la casa, ne vorrei realizzare almeno un paio, e poi i regali....riuscirò nell'impresa tenedo presente che purtroppo non esiste solo l'amato ricamo? Speriamo.....!!

This time I bring to you Earthworm Jim for the SNES. Earthworm Jim is a run and gun platformer with some of the wackiest antics you will ever see in a video game. It's chock full of great graphics, music, and gameplay. Made back in 1994 for the Sega Megadrive/Genesis Earthworm Jim was subsequently ported to the SNES, Game Boy, Game Gear, Master System, and when it came out, the Gameboy Advance. The game is utter greatness with the only downfall being it's length. The game is too short and as such I get through it in under an hour.

The game throws you right into the action without mentioning the story. The story is just as comical as the game. Earthworm Jim was a normal earthworm living his life on Earth. One day while trying to avoid becoming a crow's dinner a super, ultra-high-tech, indestructable space suit fell from the sky right on top of Jim's worm hole. When Jim crawled out of his hole and into the suit the suit recognized him and bonded to him, giving him complete control of the suit and all it's awesome powers. Thus Earthworm Jim was born. The suit fell from the sky because it was stolen from the Evil Queen by Snott, a Booper being. Snott was attacked by Psycrow, the Evil Queen's henchman and his ship was destroyed, sending the suit plummeting to Earth. Now that Jim has it Psycrow will stop at nothing to get it back. Jim overhears Psycrow telling the Evil Queen that he suspects the suit fell to Earth and will begin looking for it. Hearing this Jim flees to New Junk City where the biggest adventure of his life begins.

]]> <![CDATA[früher...]]> http://chaostommy.wordpress.com/?p=440 Sat, 11 Oct 2008 09:45:37 +0000 tommy http://chaostommy.wordpress.com/2008/10/11/fruher/ ja, früher da war alles anders. besser??? ich weiss es nicht. aber sicher teilweise einfacher. wenn ich bedenke, dass ich heute schon vor meinem dienst zwei maschinen wäsche gemacht, das bad sauber und die küche aufgeräumt habe. das musste ich früher nicht. da bin ich am we irgendwann gegen mittag aufgestanden und hatte die gebügelte wäsche auf der treppe zu meinem zimmer bei den eltern liegen. allerdings musste ich mir da auch anhören dass ich wieder so spät zu hause war (oder besser gesagt so früh *grins*) und mal wieder zu lange geschlafen habe. vorteil? wohl eher nicht. dann doch lieber alles selber machen, sich ein wenig aufregen aber ruhe haben. keine mutter die einen nervt das zimmer aufzuräumen, denn die wohnung ist automatisch in ordnung. keine mutter die einen mit dem staubsauger liebevoll weckt dafür aber ne katze die einem um 07:56h mit der pfote im gesicht sitzt. der wandel der zeit wie man so schön sagt, das erwachsenen-leben. es hat mich mittlerweile vollkommen eingenommen und wenn ich ehrlich in fühlt es sich sogar gut an. denn ich bin mein herr und ich entscheide was wann gemacht wird.

ich mag mein leben gerade und ich dachte das muss ich einfach mal für mich festhalten :)

zur zeit is es eher so dass ich mit etwas widerwillen zur arbeit gehe. wir alle sind unzufrieden und stoßen an unsere grenzen. sicher, die patienten dürfen das nicht merken aber das geht nicht immer. wir sind auch nur schwestern menschen. mir tut das immer besonders leid wenn mir die zeit fehlt mich mal länger mit einem menschen zu beschäftigen. viele haben ein nötig dass man mal mit ihnen spricht, sich einfach ein wenig zeit nimmt. aber leider geht das im heutigen pflegealltag nicht mehr. da heisst es stress, stress, stress *seufz* auch das kommende wochenende wird sicher nicht einfach werden, ich hae mit der neuen kollegin dienst. aber da muss ich jetzt durch, bleibt mir nichts anderes übrig. zumindest habe ich den dienst bekommen den ich gerne haben wollte, das ist ja auch schonmal was.

so, nun auf in den kampf, der dienst geht gleich los. vorher noch schnell ein paar hausfrauliche pflichten erledigen damit nicht so viel liegen bleibt. hab gestern nach dem dienst schon eine menge geschafft und das obwohl ich total müde und kaputt war. heute sind nur noch ein paar dinge dran die ich gestern nicht geschafft habe. ach ja,und vor dem dienst muss ich noch schnell für station einkaufen fahren, sonst haben wir am wochenende nichts in unserem kühlschrank.

Wow, I love how this song rocks out from the start.  ~I have to say shut up!~ is so awesome being the chorus.  I'm already impressed by the first track, which is probably a great thing.  The bridge does quiet itself down a little bit before the chorus that's loud and furious.  Tomoko's voice gots some angst in it and it works wonders here.

2. Ready?

Ready? adds some faster beats and a change of sound a little bit to make it like Avril Lavigne's stuff.  So I'm actually noticing the obvious correlations between the two.  Though, on the album it just kind of slips through the radar because it's covered up by the other tracks basically.

3. Wait till I can dream

Yeah!!!  I still think this is her best A-side for the era.  It's got such a rush and Tomoko's voice is oddly monotone mostly, but it really works.  I still love the chorus and the guitar wailing after she says the title.  Somehow I think her voice is somewhat changed for the song which could be a good thing. 

4. Fell In Love With You

Another twist that happens would be this less hardcore track.  This would be a track that I could hear on the American radios, less it be resung by a different artist.  I think this is the closest song to Tommy February6's songs minus all that poppiness of it all.  I love the middle of the song where she's on the brink of yelling her lungs out.  That was pretty cool.

5. ♥Wanna Be Your Idol♥

Back and forth between hard rock and not-so-hard rock.  We return to the harder side of rock songs and somehow the song just didn't cut it for me.  Her voice seems to be weaker here and oddly boring.  The music is does the song good, but c'mon Tomoko make the song more exciting.

6. +Gothic Pink+

Finally a little change happens and it's this dark and mysterious track.  Her vocals are given an echo-like feel until the chorus where the song sounds more menacing and very cool.  Tomoko does make some good scary tracks and this would be one of the better ones. 

7. Swear

Continuing on, we get another furious track that was also the B-side for "Wait till i can dream".  There's some that's really freaky about the song, maybe it's Tomoko singing in a interesting deep tone.  Though I guess it doesn't really stand out for me because it's just doesn't seem to change much.  Still it's nice to see the song appear.

8. Lost My Pieces

When it first started, I almost thought of Ai Otsuka's "Cherish" since both have that mechanical sound to it.  Though when she comes in it changes quickly because of the guitar in it.  I actually liked this song for its unusual sound and Tomoko singing pretty strongly.  The chorus was nice and slow which is great!

9. GIMME ALL OF YOUR LOVE!!

Haha, the more fun you have in a song, the better the outcome.  GIMME ALL OF YOUR LOVE!! was on a single and was on a tribute album for NANA.  Obviously it'll be really rockish as this song is mainly.  Somehow my feelings haven't changed since the review.  The clapping area is the best part of the entire song while the rest is rather fillerish.

10. LCDD

A song about the infamous drug?  OH....it's an acronym meaning "Like a Candy Day Dream....yea I still think it's lame.  The song sounds a little more free than her other rocking tracks.  Though that comes as a bad thing because it just didn't work for me.  I kind of wished the song wasn't so bad.

11. Hey My Friend

The closest thing to a ballad is this track that finishes up the album.  Though I'm not fond of these kind of ballads Tomoko does give an alright performance.  I just wished she could have prolly sang more.  Though I guess it stands out being the softest track of the album.

Tomoko's first foray into the realm of hard rock was alright, I've heard better, but I've also heard worse as well.  A lot of the songs really sounded too much like each other, but somehow Tomoko's random vocal properties did make them stand out.  Now, I kind of wished she had more epic songs like her debut had.

Tommy has had a really bad week. Hospice upped his pain med's and we have not found the right dose yet. So he has been in a lot of pain. I have had to keep calling doctors and the Hospice RN, giving them updates and trying new things.  Please keep praying for him.

This morning we were blessed with much needed rain.

]]> <![CDATA[des rätsels lösung]]> http://chaostommy.wordpress.com/?p=435 Tue, 07 Oct 2008 13:40:48 +0000 tommy http://chaostommy.wordpress.com/2008/10/07/des-ratsels-losung-2/ ich kann mir vorstellen dass man bei meinem letzten beitrag viel spekuliert hat. doch jeder, der in den letzten sechs monaten meinen blog mit etwas mehr interesse verfolgt hat wird erahnt haben um was es geht... nämlich um SIE. die trennung ist nun ein halbes jahr her. in diesem halben jahr ist eine menge passiert sowohl in meinem als auch in IHREM leben. bei mir tut sich zur zeit einiges auf der beruflichen schiene, dann habe ich endlich meine eigene wohnung und muss nicht mehr im wohnheim hausen und ich habe freunde, richtig gute freunde :) in IHREM leben ist aufgefallen, dass sie fehler gemacht hat zu denen sie steht, die ihr leid tun und bei denen sie möchte, dass sie nicht wieder passieren.

zum anfang hat mir die ganze 'sache' sehr zu schaffen gemacht. ich war mir nicht sicher was ich davon halten soll, wie ich mich verhalten soll. hat sie mir doch wirklich weh getan, mir mein herz gebrochen ohne rücksicht auf verluste. und trotzdem sind meine gefühle nie verschwunden. sicher, es gab momente in denen ich sie gehasst habe. aber auch nur, damit es nicht mehr ganz so weh tut. quasi ein selbstschutz. ich habe niemandem erzählt, dass wir uns getroffen haben. ich habe niemandem erzählt dass sie mich wiederhaben will. ich habe niemandem erzählt wie es mir damit geht. für mich war das alles so viel, so viel was in mir vorgeht. angst, wut, trauer, liebe... alles auf einmal, ein sturm der gefühle. das hat sich auch prompt in meinem eßverhaten niedergeschlagen indem ich meine nahrungsaufnahme eingestellt habe. so mache ich dinge immer mit mir aus. ich weiss, als kranke schwester sollte ich wissen wie ungesund das ist *seufz*

letztendlich hat mein bauch, mein herz gesiegt. ich weiss, ich habe freunde die da sind falls es nicht klappen sollte. aber wir wollen beide, dass es klappt. ich denke wir haben gute vorraussetzungen für eine beziehung. denn wir beide wissen wie es NICHT laufen soll und können so dagegen arbeiten indem wir reden und ehrlich sind.

es fühlt sich gut an, auch wenn ich erst angst hatte das alles wieder zuzulassen. ich lasse es auf mich zukommen und geniesse es so wie es ist in der hoffnung dass es endlich so wird wie wir uns das beide vorstellen. dafür müssen wir arbeiten, an uns. aber das nehme ich gerne in kauf :) sorry mädels, ich bin wieder vom markt :mrgreen:

]]> <![CDATA[klangwellen in bonn]]> http://chaostommy.wordpress.com/?p=419 Sat, 04 Oct 2008 22:51:29 +0000 tommy http://chaostommy.wordpress.com/2008/10/05/klangwellen-in-bonn/ heute war ich in der bonner innenstadt zu den klangwellen, eine outdoor show mit musik, laser und wasserspielen mitten in bonn auf dem münsterplatz. um halb acht habe ich mich mit freunden getroffen um mich ins getümmel zu stürzen. das ganze wurde in drei szenarien verpackt. und zwar in klassik, pop aus den 70ern bis heute und zum schluss gab es schlager und etwas für das rheinische herz in form von karnevalsliedern *seufz* aber okay, in verbindeung mit der licht- und wassershow war es echt zu ertragen. auch wenn alle um mich herum meinten sofort schunkeln zu müssen. ich musste ja nicht mitmachen ;) alles in allem war es wirklich toll und es hat mich sogar nicht gestört mitten in der menge zu stehn :) denn eigentlich habe ich ein problem mit vielen menschen auf engem platz. nun gut, es hat funktioniert und ich habe es überlebt ;) war ein wirklich toller abend mit tollen leuten und jeder menge bilder :) ein paar werde ich euch zeigen damit ihr euch vorstellen könnt was ich da heute erlebt habe :)

]]> <![CDATA[mutzje for de kopje... oder ein kurztrip nach holland]]> http://chaostommy.wordpress.com/?p=407 Fri, 03 Oct 2008 21:55:16 +0000 tommy http://chaostommy.wordpress.com/2008/10/03/mutzje-for-de-kopje-oder-ein-kurztripp-nach-holland/ schon mitte der letzten woche wurde ich gefragt, ob ich nichtkommen wolle nach holland, da meg und elmar dort kaffee kaufen wollten. da ich freitags, bis auf das essen mit meiner family abends, noch nichts vor hatte hab ich kurzerhand zugesagt. so begaben wir uns gegen zehn auf die autobahn in richtung maastricht. schon auf dem hinweg wusste ich dass es ein verdammt lustiger tag werden wird.

in maastricht angekommen musste erstmal ein parplatz her. aber alle parkhäuser waren irgendwie 'vol' und um uns herum waren nur deutsche zu sehen. wir waren wohl nicht die einzigen die in holland einkaufen wollten ;) aber wir haben dann doch einen parkplatz gefunden (wie teuer war der nochmal elmar?) und sind richtung innensatdt. natürlich ausgerüstet mit digi-cams, denn ohne geht der blogger nicht raus ;) und auch louie war dabei, damit er noch ein wenig vom ausland kennenlernt :)

wir streiften durch die innenstadt, vorbei an vollen geschäften, einem laden mit einem 24 zoll bildschirm der uns alle begeisterte und landeten letztendlich auf dem marktplatz wo tatsächlich markt war. mittlerweile packte mich aber der hunger. meine geübten augen erblickten sofort das restaurant mit dem goldenen doppelbogen :mrgreen: nachdem ich mein essen hatte und louie davon abhalten musste dass er meine ganzen pommes ißt haben meg und elmar entschieden die holländische frittenbude zu testen, denn davor befand sich eine mindestens 10m lange schlange. es musste also lecker sein. und da elmar ein wahrer kavalier ist hat er sich mutig angestellt. probiert habe ich nicht, aber sie müssen wohl lecker gewesen sein. nur die mitgelierferte gabel war irgendwie zu klein. naja, da muss man durch ;)

nachdem es dann doch angefangen hatte zu regnen haben wir uns aufgemacht in richtung auto. louie wurde auf dem weg vor einem zwielichtigen laden eingesammelt, er ist irgendwie doch verdorben :mrgreen: und dann endlich im auto angekommen haben wir uns auf den weg gen heimat gemacht. aber moment, da war doch was... warum waren wir nochmal nach holland?! ach ja, der kaffee!!! ein supermarkt musste her. aber erstmal raus aus der city und auf die autobahn. erste abfahrt runter und wir mussten feststellen, dass sie holländer wohl nicht einkaufen gehn. weit und breit kein supermarkt zu sehn. aber wir haben durchgehalten und irgendwann habe ich... ja, genau ich!... einen entdeckt. schnell rein, das nötigste besorgt und wieder ab ins auto. tja, und dann kam der spruch :mrgreen: 'dreimal links ist einmal rechts' denn hier durfte man nur links fahren. gesagt getan... die nächste wieder links, gleich geschafft, und dann??? wir dürfen nur rechts *schock* aber wie man merkt sind wir wieder gut zu hause angekommen und zwar zeitig genug dass ich es locker zum essen mit der family geschafft hab. ich konnte sogar noch ne stunde auf der couch verweilen. meg hat einen teil der rückfahrt verschlafen :) sah echt süss aus wie sie da auf der rückbank lag :)

das essen mit der family war ganz okay. es war lecker und das schiff (wir haben auf einem chinesischen schiff gegessen) war rappel voll. ich war aber trotzdem irgendwie total kaputt und war froh als wir um halb zehn alle in richtung heimat abgedüst sind. ich wollte einfach nur auf die couch. tja, und da bin ich jetzt. bastel am pc, chatte mit meinem besten freund den ich echt vermisst hab und schaue nebenbei tv. alt werde ich heut nicht mehr, aber das ist nicht schlimm. bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass ich morgen ausschlafen kann, würde mir mal gut tun :) und dann kann ich ausgeruht an die arbeit gehn meinen atze auf vordermann zu bringen damit ich endlich wieder ohne probleme damit arbeiten kann. dann gibts auch bilder von dem holland-besuch :)

]]> <![CDATA[kurze meldung]]> http://chaostommy.wordpress.com/?p=405 Tue, 30 Sep 2008 09:13:03 +0000 tommy http://chaostommy.wordpress.com/2008/09/30/kurze-meldung/ tja, toshi ist nun doch gestorben, nix mehr möglich. ehrlich gesagt bin ich froh dass ich vor zwei wochen in backup gemacht habe und ich die wichtigsten dinge auf meiner mobilen festplatte habe. also ein kleiner lichtlick. und trotzdem, es ist komisch so ohne pc und ohne verbindung zu menschen die mir wichtig sind. heute war ich es dann leid und habe mir aufgrund eines werbeblättchens einen neuen laptop gekauft :) ich bin un stolzer besitzer eines asus laptops. ich werde noch eine menge basteln müssen bis wieder alles so ist wie ich es gerne hätte. aber zumindest kann ich jetzt wieder meine dinge online abwickeln, mails schreiben und kontakte halten. ich denke am we werde ich meinen atze soweit haben dass er wieder 'meins' ist :)

das nur als kurze info. und dann gibts am we auch ein update von meinem leben. ist eine menge passiert. manche dinge werden überraschen, manche begeistern und sicher auch einige nicht so gut ankommen, aber das werdet ihr dann am we lesen :)

Paolo Onofri - padre del piccolo Tommaso ucciso nel marzo 2006 - sarà trasferito domani nel centro di riabilitazione "Cardinal Ferrari" di Fontanellato, in provincia di Parma. L'uomo, colpito da infarto lo scorso 11 agosto ed oggi ricoverato nel reparto di lungodegenza dell'Ospedale Maggiore di Parma, arriverà nella struttura specialistica domani mattina e sarà subito sottoposto ai primi test medici per valutare le sue condizioni. Servirà comunque qualche giorno per stabilire il percorso riabilitativo dell'uomo. Il centro del parmense è uno dei primi a livello europeo per la riabilitazione delle cerebrolesioni acquisite. Dotato di una equipe di 127 operatori sanitari, la struttura ha ospitato nel 2007 347 pazienti in regime ordinario e 78 in Day Hospital per un totale di 31.800 giornate di riabilitazione erogate. Domani, al suo arrivo a Fontanellato, Paolo Onofri sarà sottoposto a visita medica e verrà indirizzato in una delle quattro aree funzionali in cui è suddiviso il centro (La Repubblica Parma 29 settembre 2008)
