Esta tarde noche he visto el partido de la previa de la UEFA entre el Hajduk Split y el Deportivo y me ha hecho mucha ilusión volver a ver a Valerón disfrutando y haciendo disfrutar. Sé que ya jugó en la ida, y también sé que sus rodillas están muy maltrechas pero sigue siendo un jugador diferente.

Hoy solamente ha estado 60 minutos sobre el campo pero ha vuelto a ser el mejor. Se ha inventado la jugada del primer gol y ha canalizado todas las jugadas ofensivas del Dépor durante la primera parte. Además ha vuelto a hacer varios controles de balón con esa elegancia que sólo él y el mejor Zidane atesoran en sus botas.

De momento no hay que hacerse ilusiones porque cuando comience la competición 'de verdad' y el Deportivo tenga que jugar jueves y domingos probablemente le pase factura al 'flaco' en el aspecto físico.

Por el bien de la hinchada de Riazor, pero sobre todo por el bien del fútbol, que 'el mago de Arguineguín' siga dejando muestras de su enorme clase durante mucho, mucho tiempo.

PD: El Hajduk Split tiene un delantero muy joven e interesante Kalinic. Con muy buenos movimientos y con pinta de gran goleador. Con sólo 20 años fue el máximo goleador de la liga croata e incluso fue convocado por Croacia para la Euro 2008. Hoy ha acabado desesperado y sólo en punta, pero en cuanto tenga a un buen pasador, se puede convertir en un delantero de primer nivel.

PD 2: Me gustaría haber podido analizar la remontada épica del Real Madrid en la Supercopa de España y el partidazo de la Supercopa de Italia pero como me fue imposible, os dejo los artículos de Rubén Uría y José David López.

Vamos a analizar como el paso del tiempo afecta a todos los futbolistas, excepto a Raúl González Blanco, que a pesar de debutar con 17 años y contar ya con 31 sigue teniendo el beneplácito de la prensa, mandando a su antojo en el vestuario y conservando su titularidad.

Raúl ha sido un jugador importante eso no cabe duda, pero de eso hace ya mucho, de 5 años a esta parte su rendimiento no es el que se espera de un jugador de elite titular de un grande que aspira a todo.
Se han buscado mil excusas, que si no juega en su sitio, que si no descansa, que la lesión le cortó el ritmo… “el que nunca hace nada” lleva viviendo de la renta de lo que fue 5 años y no contento con esto, el presidente lo renovó la temporada pasada.

By now, you should have realized that I'm referring to what the Final Fantasy series has become. I'll be presenting you with the sketches for the heroes and heroines of Final Fantasies VII, VIII, X, & XII. XI is skipped because it's not a Final Fantasy game despite what Square says, and IX has been omited because it pays its respects to a more modest time. For that reason, its heroes Zidane and Dagger will be doing a little bit of commentary for us.

Please try not to cry on your keyboards...

The Heroes

Ah, Cloud; the beginning of the end, the harbinger of doom, the guy with the hair and severe man-crush.

I've said this before: Final Fantasy VII is one of my favorite games ever. I'm not ashamed, and I'll always defend my opinion, but I'm not so deluded by nostalgia that I'll ignore what Cloud has done to to the FF series.

Cloud began the most dreaded of Final Fantasy trends: male heroes dressing like girls.

Sure, he wasn't dressed that way the entire time, but while he was wearing his dress, lipstick, perfume, tiara, etc., Cloud came closer to gay sex than any other FF character ever has (though I'm sure we'll see literally full-blown dude-love before FFXX). In between the squats in a gay gym full of buff bodybuilders, describing the texture of his dream dress to a drunk male seamstress, and spending the night in a love hotel (without so much as touching Aeris, I'd assume), you'd think Cloud would have taken his ridiculously huge (non-overcompensating) sword and just hacked Don Corneo's mansion apart, but noooo...I suppose he justified it all by directing guys to Tifa's rack.

Squall was a representation of the average FFFan: socially and stylishly inept.

If Cloud's motto was "I don't care", Squall's motto would be "..."

Maybe his silences were an homage to the mute protagonists of the earlier RPG years, where the player was supposed to connect with the main character and fill in the blanks with their own personality. If that's the case, I'd imagine Squall's dialog wouldn't change much.

(Oh, no! That pretty, Asian girl is coming this way.)

Pretty, Asian Girl: Hey! Cool scar! Wanna' dance?

Cool Scar Dude: ... (I'll just give into peer pressure until I screw up then walk away only to get hit on by my hot professor who's a year older than me, but she's a nerdy four-eyes so I won't respond to her advances either.)

There's lots of stuff you can do with a main character who isn't instantly appealing, but don't remind us of how unlikeable we, the players, are, Square.

Hmm, maybe they were trying to make us feel better about ourselves by giving us control of a bigger loser. Nah, if that were the case, they would have made school even more boring than it already is, not set it on some flying cyber-campus where your final exam is fighting a real fucking war. (I wanna' be a SEED... :( )

Say what you want about Final Fantasy VII, but I'm convinced that X marked the point of no return for the FF series' heroes.

With the advent of voice-acting came the realization that our favorite badasses of FF past could very well sound like whiny douches. It doesn't help that Square-Enix is hellbent on re-re-releasing the older games each year. Contrary to what Mitch Hedberg says, remixing a remix does not make it back to normal.

RPG heroes typically have a...unique sense of style, but Tidus began the colorful hobo fashion for the FF series. Not even Hot Topic sells clothes as impractical as Tidus' get-up. Final Fantasy games must take place in a universe where measuring tape doesn't exist and cows were made extinct by a meteor (thanks, Sephiroth) that flooded the world with random bits of leather.

Oddly enough, Square saw fit to still allow the player to name Tidus in FFX, a game where most cutscenes are fully voiced. The end result is a lot of dancing around a character's name with the most creative pronoun uses ever written. I've read that Tidus' name isn't even mentioned in the direct sequel FFX-2 despite he, or his absense, being a major plot point.

This is actually what got me thinking about crappy Final Fantasy heroes to begin with. You see, I started playing Baten Kaitos again earlier today and got a major FFX vibe, not only from the graphics, but from the voice-acting, character design, and weird use of voice-acting while allowing the player to name a character.

At least FFX tried to avoid Tidus' name. In Baten Kaitos, you're asked to type in your name as you're supposed to assume the role of an invisible guardian spirit who is occasionally addressed during voiced cutscenes. Even though your gender is asked, the game doesn't fill in the dialog with pronouns. No, the voice actors actually pause when your name comes up in the dialog.

Namco probably just saw how much money Square made with an RPG starring a nameless hobo and followed suit.

While Final Fantasy and MMORPG fans alike were playing something other than Final Fantasy XI, Square was hard at work trying to top Tidus. The result was better voiced, less overly enthusiastic, and had an actual name, but he was also a pedophile's dream come true. Just look at that picture...

Tidus' get-up may have been impractical clown gear, but what the hell, Square? At least give the kid a shirt. Oh, right. We wouldn't be able to see his glistening chest in the hot Ivalician sun if he had a shirt on. What was I thinking? Oh, yeah. He's a child!

I gave FFXII a try a month or two ago, and while I enjoyed parts of it, I thought that Vaan's role in the game was pretty unnecessary. He didn't do anything, and from what I've read, he never does. Square took unlikeable down an entirely new road and made FFXII's main character unimportant.

So, even if he wasn't a half naked, greased up child armed to the...knee (?), it wouldn't matter because he's completely overshadowed by a character who is at least somewhat likeable and actually does stuff: Balthier.

The Heroines

["Final Fantasy heroine"...The series really has become something like heroine. Fans always need their fix, but I honestly doubt the hardcore guys can really feel good about themselves after an entire weekend of Final Fantasy.]

You know you messed up when your female lead's (Aeris dies, get over it) most outstanding characteristic is her boobs. Tifa is to RPG heroines as Tidus is to RPG heroes. There's nothing cooler than a dumb douche who has a busty broad wrapped around his finger. I'm really surprised there are no in-game mentions of Tifa's rack (at least not that I'm aware of). Maybe everybody was too busy looking at Cloud's hair...

I'm convinced that Capcom played Final Fantasy VII a whole lot when coming up with the concept for the Phoenix Wright games.

Capcom Guy 1: How can we make it so that the defendants know exactly what happened but justify not revealing that information until all kinds of shit goes down?

Capcom Guy 2: Hold it! Didn't Tifa do just that in Final Fantasy VII?

Capcom Guy 1: Yeah, and they got super rich off that game!

Capcom Guy 2: Take that, Square!

Okay, so Renoa is very modest compared to the other FF heroines of the later generations. That's to be expected. After all, Squall is more like us, so it only makes sense that the girl in the love story is more realistic than Tits McGee from VII. That's not to say Square didn't manipulate their fanboys with one of their most powerful vices: Asian chicks.

Yes, Final Fantasy VIII began the move towards a more Asian looking cast that even affected most of the FFVII cast in Advent Children. Nerds love Japan and, consequently, Japanese women.

Renoa was much more conservative to fit VIII's love story, but she and Tifa combined to form the basis for something far more powerful in Final Fantasy X.

With their first FF on the powerful Playstation 2, Square decided to show off what the machine could with...BOOBS!!! But not just any boobs; boobs that jiggle when you win (it's like winning twice)!

Yes, Yuna is the female lead of Final Fantasy X, but who can remember her when Lulu is taking her girls for a walk in that goth gear. Lulu wears a dress made of a million black, leather belts, but unlike Tidus, her outfit is actually practical. The girl needs support.

The goth thing makes her ring of Squall, but that only achieves the opposite effect by making her more likeable to the fanbase. She isn't the happy, white mage female character you never use because you know she'll die (for real). She's the blunt, black mage female character who you always use because the camera zooms in on her when she scores the finishing blow.

Even without Lulu, there's still Rikku, the less offensive (unless she really is as young as she looks) fetish among the hardcore FFX fans. I would have included her in the picture above, but I'd prefer nerds to read my blog, not stare at it with the door closed.

God-damned furries...How is it that a fetish for hairy, animal-like people formed, anyway?

Fran gets rid of the bust but keeps the impractical gear. High-heels and lingerie in the sewers? Really? What kind of pirate are you?

I personally hate Fran. She's the only non-hume to join your party in FFXII. You can't just give me Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, what with its cool new races, and then set a game in a similar world occupied by those races, then only make the one that will turn on your sick fans an actual party member. Where's my grimy Bangaa warrior who curses like a sailor? Where's my weasly Moogle with his strange gadgets? Where's my dopey-looking yet infinitely wise Nu Mou? Where's my reserved, mysterious Viera?

Oh, there she is...in her underwear.

Até achei que poderia daria certo, tendo em vista a partida consciente da equipe amarelinha contra Camarões. (Consciente é diferente de show de bola, baile, etc, etc, etc... ). Para variar, deu errado. Convenhamos: Brasil é Brasil. Temos que jogar feito time grande, os nossos adversários devem temer o nosso time. Em compensação, jogamos feito Honduras. E aí, a Argentina, que de boba não tem nada, bateu como se tivesse jogando contra Honduras.

Sinceramente, Sr. Dunga. Não dá! Vá treinar o América-RJ, o Madureira, o Tupi, o Atlético de Três Corações, Marianense... Enfim, seleção não dá! Já o Ronaldinho não foi dos piores, mas não dá para depender dele... Toda vez que ele precisa ser o camisa 10, aquele que decide, que assume a postura, que dá a cara pelo time, ele some... E aí, com essa combinação, adeus viola! Se não bastasse, no final do jogo, os atletas correm das entrevistas - exceto o meia Diego. É nessa hora que eu queria ver o Ronaldinho mostrar sua cara... Infelizmente ele não é jogador de assumir esse tipo de coisa. É apenas mais um, para ser sincero. RONALDINHO, VOCÊ NUNCA SERÁ UM CRAQUE NA SELEÇÃO, APENAS MAIS UM A VESTIR A CAMISA AMARELINHA! NUNCA SERÁ... ISSO É FATO! QUE SAUDADE QUE TENHO DE JOGADORES COMO ROMÁRIO E ZIDANE... GENTE QUE DÁ SANGUE EM CAMPO E ASSUME AS VITÓRIAS E AS DERROTAS!

It was no great secret that Cristiano Ronaldo wanted what he considered his ‘dream’ move to Real Madrid; Calderon and co sent out the signals and the world stood by awaiting the inevitable.

Now, two months of extensive press inches and plenty of hot air later, the saga seems to be finally over; Cristiano Ronaldo remains a Manchester United player (for at least a year anyhow!)

The significance of this cannot be understated; in 2000 Real Madrid incredibly seduced Figo from fierce rivals Barcelona, the next summer they lured the breathtaking Zidane from Juventus and in 2002 they successfully enticed, World Cup Golden Boot winner, the other Ronaldo, from Inter Milan; all three joined from giant European rivals for enormous fees and all were at their football peak.

Yet in 2008 and in very similar circumstances, Real Madrid’s principle transfer target has eluded them.

Back in 2002, Real’s stock was sky high, it was also the last time they were crowned European Champions and for a club of Real’s stature, six years without a Copa de Europa is a crisis. Curiously within those six years the shift of football power has slowly moved northwards, to England; four of the six Champions League finalist in the last three seasons. Meaning, in today’s football world, it’s very conceivable to view any transfer from Manchester Untied, champions of England and Europe, to Real Madrid as a slight step downwards; or sideways at best.

Sure, Real has taken from Manchester United in recent years, but this was out of convenience to both teams. Cristiano Ronaldo is different, like Figo, Zidane and the Brazilian Ronaldo before him; he is currently football’s most prized asset. United, don’t need to sell and by not, the European Champions have upset a very fruitful apple-cart.

In terms of depth of history, prestige and worldwide status there’s little to separate Manchester United from Real Madrid; it’s certainly a photo finish, which makes the Robinho saga even more interesting as Chelsea, whether they like it or not, certainly fall short in terms of stature when pitched against Real Madrid.

But Robinho has pretty much said he wants to go to Chelsea. This statement of intent undoubtedly signifies a change in football prowess. It’s very difficult to imagine Chelsea luring a very important young player from Real Madrid five or six seasons ago, not even a season or two ago in fact. And make no mistake at 24, just a year older than Cristiano Ronaldo, Robinho is an important player for Real; 100+ appearances and 25 goals in his three seasons, contributing to a pair of La Liga Championships.

No doubt the lure of Chelsea’s disposable millions and new boss Scolari add to the appeal, but nevertheless, for Robinho to view England and Chelsea as a more attractive proposition than Spain and Real Madrid, makes for very juicy gossip.

So are Real Madrid playing to the tune of England? If so, does this mean world football supremacy now lies in England or is this just football politics? If it’s the former, then what may follow?

Football history and prestige is very important, but in no way are these more important than the present; and in the present, the big guns in English football seem to be holding the key cards?

IWC Schaffhausen, a high end swiss watch maker announced Zinedine Zidane, in my opinion the greatest player ever, as its newest ambassador.  They have dedicated a special model to him, the Igenieur Automatic Edition Zinedine Zidane.  There will be only 1,000 availalbe globally.

The watch is described below:

The back engraving makes the Ingenieur Automatic Edition Zinédine Zidane an absolute must for fans of this exceptional footballer. Situated at the centre of the solid stainless steel back are the engraved portrait and the autograph of the sportsman, framed by the inscription “Zinédine Zidane – World Champion 1998” and the model esignation “Ingenieur”. The back also carries the serial number of the limited edition of 1,000 watches.

Zinedine Yazid Zidane telah ditakdirkan untuk menjadi bintang besar. Zizou, panggilan lelaki Muslim kelahiran 23 Juni 1973 ini, dilahirkan di Marseille, dan dibesarkan di La Castellane. Meski ia lahir di Marseille, ia tak pernah bermain untuk klub di kota kelahirannya, Olympique de Marseille. Karir sepakbolanya justru dimulai dari klub AS Cannes dan Bordeaux.

Juventus kemudian menjadi tempat pertamanya di luar Prancis setelah membelinya dari Bordeaux senilai 3 juta pounds tahun 1996, dan itu adalah pembelian yang tercatat paling menguntungkan bagi Juventus, karena saat di klub Turin itulah nama Zizou bersinar, dan lebih bersinar lagi saat ia membawa timnas Prancis menjuarai juara dunia 1998 dan juara Eropa 2000.

Real Madrid kemudian memboyong Zizou ke Santiago Bernabeu dengan bayaran yang sangat tinggi, 47 juta pound, atau setara 81 juta dolar, yang mengantarnya menjadi pemain termahal sepanjang sejarah.

Modal besar yang dikeluarkan oleh Madrid langsung dibayarnya tunai. Bersama Raul, Luis Figo, dan Roberto Carlos, Zidane membawa Madrid meraih trofi Champions tahun 2002, setelah menyumbang satu gol dalam kemenangan Madrid 2-1 melawan Bayer Leverkusen di Glasgow ‘s Hampden Park. Sayang, cedera yang dialaminya, ditambah usia yang terus menggerogotinya, membuatnya tak bisa lagi menolong Madrid dari keterpurukan, meski bintang-bintang lain terus berdatangan melengkapi Los Galacticos.

Tanggal 7 Mei 2006 menjadi hari yang paling mengharukan bagi Zidane. Ia berpamitan pada publik Santiago Bernabeu setelah mengabdi selama 5 tahun klub kaya itu. Dalam pertandingan melawan Villareal itu, Zidane menyumbang satu gol. Sayangnya, golnya itu tak mampu memberi kemenangan pada Madrid yang hanya bermain imbang 3-3. Tetapi, para penggemarnya yang mengenakan kostum Madrid dengan tulisan “Zidane 2001-2006” tetap menyambutnya dengan meriah.

Di timnas Prancis, Zidane adalah pahlawan. Tahun 1998, saat hajatan Piala Dunia diselenggarakan di negerinya, ia menyumbangkan dua gol penting ke gawang Brazil di partai final yang berakhir bagi kemenangan Prancis 3-0 itu. Ia juga membawa timnya memenangkan Euro 2000 setelah menggebuk Italia 2-1.

Kepiawaian Zidane dalam mengolah bola, dribel yang elegan, passing yang indah dan keseimbangan yang sempurna membuatnya menjadi salah satu pemain paling elegan di dunia dan disebut-sebut sebagai ‘artis di lapangan hijau,’ ia juga sering disebut-sebut publik Prancis sebagai pengganti sejati legenda Prancis Michel Platini.

Sayangnya, menjelang Piala Dunia 2002 di Korea-Jepang, ia mengalami cedera yang cukup serius. Penampilannya yang indah terganggu oleh cederanya itu. Selain Madrid, yang paling menderita karena hal itu adalah Les Bleus yang gagal total di Piala Dunia di daratan Asia pertama itu. Dengan memalukan, tim berlogo ayam jantan ini dikalahkan 1-2 oleh Senegal yang notabene adalah negara bekas jajahan Prancis dan dilatih oleh seorang pelatih Prancis juga. Begitu juga di Euro 2004, Prancis ditendang Yunani di babak perempat final.

Setelah itu, Zidane langsung mengumumkan pengunduran dirinya dari pentas dunia, dan berencana akan pensiun setelah menghabiskan kontraknya di Madrid musim 2006-2007. Akan tetapi, menjelang Piala Dunia di Jerman, nasionalisme Zidane terpanggil juga. Menyaksikan mantan teman-temannya terseok-seok di babak kualifikasi, ia memutuskan untuk kembali memperkuat Les Bleus. Kembalinya Zidane itu membuat dua temannya, Claude Mekelele dan Lilian Thuram yang juga telah menyatakan pensiun, ramai-ramai kembali. Beruntung bagi Prancis, kehadiran trio itu membuat mereka kembali ke jalur Jerman setelah menang melawan Faroe Island 3-0.

Di piala Dunia 2006, Zizou bermain sangat menawan. Zidane merupakan aktor utama di balik keberhasilan Prancis melaju ke babak final. Padahal tim asuhan Raymond Domenech ini sempat diragukan akan melaju sejauh itu karena performa yang buruk di babak awal. Namun sayang, di final Zizou terprovokasi oleh Materazzi. Zizou menanduk Materazzi karena tidak tahan dengan provokasi Marco Materazzi yang, menurut pendengarannya, tiga kali melontarkan kalimat yang memaki (menghina) ibu dan saudara perempuannya. Alhasil, dia dikartu merah dan Perancis gagal memboyong trofi piala dunia 2006.

Setelah piala dunia berakhir, dalam wawancara eksklusifnya dengan televisi Prancis, Canal Plus, secara terbuka Zidane menyampaikan permohonan maaf atas perbuatan yang memalukan itu. Tapi, Zidane tidak merasa menyesal dengan apa yang telah dilakukannya terhadap Materazzi.

“Reaksi saya sangat buruk. Untuk itu, saya meminta maaf,” kata Zidane. “Saya meminta maaf karena begitu banyak anak-anak yang menyaksikan adegan tersebut. Saya benar-benar (minta maaf) untuk itu. Tapi, saya tidak menyesali apa yang telah saya lakukan. Sebab, jika saya menyesalinya berarti apa yang dikatakannya (Materazzi) itu benar,” tegas Zidane mengomentari tindakan tandukan kepalanya itu yang terjadi sepuluh menit sebelum babak kedua perpanjangan waktu babak final PD 2006 antara Prancis vs Italia berakhir.

Ketika ditanya apakah sebelum pertandingan, terdapat perseteruan di antara mereka berdua, Zidane menampiknya. “Tidak ada ketegangan antara saya dan Materazzi sebelum atau ketika pertandingan berlangsung,” katanya. Lantas, “Dia (Materazzi) memegang kaus saya dan saya pun menyuruhnya untuk berhenti melakukannya. Saya katakan kepadanya, jika menginginkan kaos saya, maka saya akan memberikan kepadanya ketika pertandingan telah usai,” kata Zidane.

Zizou menolak untuk mengatakan secara terus terang dan detail apa yang sebenarnya dikatakan Materazzi. “Ia melontarkan kalimat kasar kepada saya. Itu terjadi beberapa kali. Saya meninggalkannya dan kemudian saya berbalik mendekatinya. Lalu, segalanya pun berjalan begitu cepat. Kata-kata yang ia ungkapkan memang terkait dengan ibu dan saudara perempuan saya,” aku Zidane.

“Sekali makiannya terdengar saya masih bisa tahan. Lalu, kedua kali, dan saat ketiga kali itulah saya tidak mampu mengendalikan emosi saya,” terang Zidane. “Saya seorang laki-laki dan kadang perkataan itu lebih keras (kasar) daripada perbuatan. Saya rasa saya lebih baik dipukul sampai jatuh daripada mendengar makian itu,” tegasnya.

Meski Zidane mengakhiri karirnya dengan buruk di Piala Dunia 2006 –mendapat kartu merah karena menanduk Materazzi– para jurnalis yang meliput Piala Dunia 2006 tidak ragu untuk memilih Zidane sebagai pemain terbaik Piala Dunia di Jerman. Saingan Zidane adalah Fabio Cannavaro, kapten tim Italia, meraih tempat kedua, sementara Andrea Pirlo, playmaker Italia, meraih tempat ketiga.

Itulah Zidane. Sang legenda, yang juga manusia biasa.

Ambiance survoltée, émotion intacte, des joueurs (presque) aussi frais qu'il y a 10 ans, un stade bleu-blanc-rouge, des buts à foison, de quoi nous faire oublier la piètre démonstration de l'équipe de France lors de l'Euro.

It's Zinedine Zidane, a footballer/soccer player or whatever the hell it is that they call it. A friend sent me this link and i was in love for sure at first sight. Am sorry but I really know zilch about football/soccer, kill me now as I have missed half my life for having seen him just this afternoon. Ehehehe. This is actually the third time that I have fancied someone famous. There was of course Richard Gere, need I say more about him? That guy never age. Then there was Shawn "the heartbreak kid" Michaels, laugh your asses off but I was just a kid then and have clearly passed that "shawn-stage" already. Believe me! Please Please Please! Then there was a short-lived fascination towards Will Smith, not as serious as that of Richard Gere and Shawn Michaels though and here comes Zidane..... Hahayyyyyyyy..... Can I just kiss him and die now???? Wehehehe. What is up with Zidane???

1. The guy apparently stands 6  ft and an inch! 5 ft and 10in is actually my ideal height for a guy, the reason being is am standing 5ft 7in tall so with a guy who's got the ideal height, i can wear my 3-inched-shoes/sandals. So, if the guy is a 6footer - whoa!!!!! It's like extra nuts in my jamoca almond fudge. An added bonus to an already perfect package. A mojito while you bask under the sun of a caribean beach.

2. He's got style. The clothes that he's wearing on the video is more than perfect. I have no idea what it is with men and suits but I am attracted to men in suits. Haha! I don't like the extra craps like the bow tie or necktie. A plain shirt inside the suit plus a casual pants (a jeans would have been better) is like........ i don't know, am just attracted to men in suits. Hehehehehe. Specially if the guy wearing it is tall, it kinda brings the "authoritative" look which is oh so sexy!

3. He's  got confidence. The way he walks, the way he moves - everything about him screams C-O-N-F-I-D-E-N-C-E.

4. He's got a cute smirk (or was it a smile?). Smirk is more mysterious, so I say it's a smirk. Just because.... :D

5. According to my research, he had a confrontation with an Italian player - Marco Materazzi which stirred a big havoc in the history of that sport. Apparently Materazzi insulted Zidane's sister which led to the latter's temper being heated up and headbutted Materazzi. Am not exactly sure if it was true but I want to believe him because am biased and i love him. (is Materazzi as cute as Zidane? might change my mind though.... haha!). Anyway, he's a knight in shining armor complete with his glorious white horse.

Oh well..........

Where art thou Zidane???? Sucks big time that he's married (like I have a chance! haha!).

kemarin2 kan ngejar tayang di sini, trus tau2 setelah ngepost beberapa posting dengan foto yg seabreg (tapi tetep aja ada yg bilang fotonya kurang), kok perasaan jadi mual dan muak. Jadi sebelum "muntah" gw mo take it easy aja ngupdate nya.

balik dari mission, entah kenapa kok mood kerjanya cuma balik 1 minggu, sesudah itu jadi agak2 "loyo" gini, baru selasa, mood udah kayak hari jumat setengah hari. padahal perasaan gak ada yg berubah. kayanya itu MO nya gw, kalo abis mission suka jadi kedodoran pas abis baliknya, berasa pengen di lapangan melulu (lapangan bola?)

eniwei.. hari ini anniversary kami (zig dan aku), enggak kerasa udah 7 tahun. huhuhu , aku pun tak percaya bisa hidup 7 tahun bersama orang lain (lho??) we made it yah zig, zidane.. please bear with me. hehehehe kok jadi gak pede gini..

Le sportif, qui a construit son personnage autour d'une image de discretion, n'en est pas moins, paradoxalement, ultra présent dans le paysage médiatique.

Si l'on sait qu'une majorité de personnalités connues du domaine du sport, et particulièrement les footballeurs, tire en grande partie ses revenus de la publicité, Zinedine Zidane montre un talent incontestable pour aligner les contrats!

Car Zizou, comme il est surnommé, non content de figurer parmis les personnalités préférées des Français depuis plusieurs années selon le JDD, apparaît également encore aujourd'hui comme l'un des symboles vivants et piliers de la victoire sur les Brésiliens lors de la Coupe du Monde 98. Et nous ne passerons effectivement pas à côté d'une relation de cause à effet entre les deux états de fait.

C'est par ailleurs cet évènement, allié à son charisme, son image de "gendre idéal" timide, modeste, simple, qui principalement ont propulsé Zinedine Zidane au rang de tête d'affiche adéquate à la promotion de tout bien ou service qui se monnaye.

Tour à tour figure de proue du luxe, de l'automobile, de la téléphonie mobile et du hard discount; l'homme ne laisse certes planer aucun doute sur le fait qu'il incarne à la perfection les valeurs de chaque marque dont il se fait le représentant, ou encore le fait qu'il est avant tout consommateur des biens et services proposés; malgré tout, trop de testimonial ne tue-t'il pas l'essence même de la personne qui prête son minois à quantité d'enseignes?

Si, au travers de ses cachets publicitaires, Zinedine Zidane a trouvé un moyen de rester présent, en quelques sortes, sur le devant de la scène, et de gagner aisément sa vie, il annonce en tous les cas la transition de sportif de haut niveau à mannequin multi-usages.

Per carità, anch'io sorridevo della zuccata contro Materazzi, (e mi son beccato degli insulti da antipatriottico mica da ridere) ma siccome sono cattivo nell'animo mi chiedo cosa ne pensa di queste affermazioni la Madonna di Lourdes, appena visitata (suppongo per grazia ricevuta) dalla neoliberata M.lle Ingrid ...

Care credeţi că ar fi el? De vină, cică, ar fi vocile pe care „Zizou” le aude tot mai des. După cum a declarat superstarul într-un interviu, s-a trezit într-o noapte, pe la ora trei, şi a auzit o voce care l-a sfătuit să se întoarcă la naţională. Ori ăsta e un semn clar de schizofrenie, ori antrenorul „Cocoşului Galic” era ascuns sub patul lui Zidane, încercând să-l convingă să-i salveze postul. Probabil că ceea ce a auzit mijlocaşul Realului din Madrid a sunat în halul următor: „Atenţie, vă vorbeşte Big Brother! Aveţi trei săptămâni să vă întoarceţi la naţională, altfel adio reclame, salariu cu multe zerouri, vacanţe în toate colţurile lumii şi prime grase de joc. 3, 2, 1...” Poate că Zidane ar trebui să mai asculte şi glasul raţiunii nu doar vocile din capul său, ca să nu o ia de tot pe arătură. Poate că acele voci îi vor comanda şi să înceapă să joace fotbal, ca să-şi merite statutul de „superstar” şi Realul de echipă „galactică”. Pentru că nu poţi spune hip-hop până nu sari, haideţi să lăsăm fotbalul şi să trecem la muzica, din păcate, românească. Este puţin cam trist episodul cu Cheloo de la Paraziţii care a bătut o fană. Nu este nici primul care face asta (dacă vă mai amintiţi, şi Pepe a trecut printr-o altercaţie asemănătoare) şi, mai mult ca sigur, nici ultimul. Paradoxul poveştii este că Paraziţii sunt cei care, acum puţin timp, încercau culturalizarea poporului, prin campania „Instigare la cultură”. Unde e cultura într-o bătaie de stradă cu o biată femeie? Poate că Paraziţii se refereau la cultura de cartofi sau porumb, purtându-se ca cei de care se leagă în versurile lor („Ţăranul de oraş e cel mai prost animal...”). Nu oi fi eu în măsură să comentez modul de promovare a ultimului lor single, „Violent”, dar poate că e nevoie şi de o campanie de deparazitare a celor cu „fumuri” de vedete. Asta ca să ştie că suntem cu toţii egali.
